00:00Target tapusin ang pamahalaan ngayong taon ang mga ginagawang development at pagsasayos ng mga pasilidad sa Pag-Asa Island sa West Philippine Sea.

00:09Samantala, nagsagawa naman ang AFP ng Maritime Patrol sa Kalayaan Island Group, si Patrick De Jesus sa report.

00:20Tapos na ang konstruksyon at ekstensyon ng runway sa Pag-Asa Island sa West Philippine Sea.

00:24Kaya naman mas madali na ang paglapag na mga cargo plane ng Philippine Air Force gaya ng C-130 at C-295.

00:33We'd like to really look at the future of Pag-Asa Island and hopefully, baka in the near future, this can also be a tourist spot.

00:42So itong ating runway can also be used for civilian aircrafts na rin.

00:47Makukumpleto na rin ang itinayong hangar sa Pag-Asa Island, pati na ang control tower para sa air operations ng isla.

00:55Target na tapusin ang iba pang military facility ngayong taon sa ilalim ng AFP Modernization Program Re-Horizon 3.

01:03Ito'y sa kabila ng iligal na pananatili ng mga parko ng China sa paligid ng Pag-Asa Island,

01:08kabilang ang Chinese Maritime Militia, mga parko ng China Coast Guard, pati na ang kanilang warship.

01:14Tuloy-tuloy pa rin yung mga programa natin, not just for the armed forces of the Philippines, but for the whole island.

01:19So ang tinitingnan natin dito are multi-role facilities, not just for the defense, but also yung HADR natin doon,

01:27and of course, panggamit na rin sa ating communities.

01:29Sakay naman ang C-130 plane, isa a PTV News sa mga miyembro ng media na kasama sa maritime patrol ng AFP.

01:37Inikot sa marpat, ang mga okupadong features ng Pilipinas sa Kalayaan Island Group.

01:42Bahagi ito ng pag-iit sa karapatan at soberanye ng bansa sa West Philippine Sea.

01:47As we have been showing for the past few years, itong ating transparency initiative,

01:53and ito is a very good example of that, na makita nalaga natin itong situation in the area.
