00:12Dominican congressmen are not the only beneficiaries of importing vehicles without paying taxes.

00:18However, unlike other sectors, they are the ones who keep the largest amount of money out of state coffers.

00:23The agreements and laws that support the presence of embassies, consulates, or diplomatic missions in the Dominican Republic

00:31also allow their officials, and even the entities themselves, to import any type of vehicle without paying any taxes.

00:51The embassy and permanent mission of the Dominican Republic to international organizations, based in Vienna,

01:06The Minister of Labor, Eddie Olivares, reported that the reform to the Labor Code is still under evaluation

01:12and revealed that one of the points under discussion is the business sector's proposal to establish a cap on unemployment.
