00:03Inflation dropped to 2.1 percent in April.
00:06Personal income increased 0.8 percent in April.
00:09So inflation is down and wages are up.
00:12That's almost triple the expectations and against the doubts of nearly everyone in this
00:16room.
00:17And we also saw the largest monthly decline in the trade deficit on record as a result
00:21of President Trump's very powerful tariffs.
00:24Lastly, the price of eggs has dropped more than 61 percent since President Trump took
00:29office in January.
00:30I remember my very first briefing, I was asked about the cost of eggs.
00:34The reporter tried to insinuate it was this administration's fault, even though he had
00:37only been here for a few days or weeks.
00:40It was a result of the previous administration's terrible policies.
00:43And in record time, this president has fixed that problem that he inherited from Joe Biden.
