00:07The MTV alum shares the tragic news on Facebook June 2, writing in part,
00:11My beautiful son, Weston, has passed away. Life is so cruel and unfair. I just don't understand.
00:18She adds, I'm in disbelief. This cannot be happening. I don't want it to be real.
00:22I would do anything just to hold him. Words just can't describe the pain I am feeling.
00:27Whitney, who doesn't reveal his cause of death, goes on to say,
00:31Rest in peace, my baby Weston. I love you forever, precious.
00:34I'll never understand why life has to be so cruel. You'll always be my baby.
00:39Whitney appeared on 16 and Pregnant in 2009 and delivered Weston Jr. on the show.
00:45When it was over, my baby was perfect.
00:52Weston's stepmom, Amy Gosa, gives additional details on the circumstances surrounding the teen's passing.
00:59Writing on Facebook, they tried to wake him up at 7 a.m., but couldn't.

01:03He was not breathing. We attempted CPR and called an ambulance.
01:07The paramedics attempted it as well and took him to the hospital in Gordon County, Georgia, where he was pronounced dead.
01:14She notes that Weston had several health issues, including diabetes.
01:17He had also been diagnosed with a genetic disorder called alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, which can cause lung and liver damage.
01:25Amy says that the family is waiting on an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
