00:00So Del Toro has said not a horror movie, so how would you kind of describe what it is in the genre?
00:05I mean, it's an incredibly epic film. I've never been a part of something so big and so grand.
00:11But it's also, you know, incredibly emotional and deeply personal.
00:17You know, it's a story that's been a part of Guillermo's life since he was a boy.
00:20And so I definitely think people might be surprised, pleasantly surprised, by how much heart there is in this movie.
00:27How was it seeing Jacob as a monster for the first time?
00:30It was incredible. They did such an amazing job with that makeup.
00:33You know, he really, that was a hard gig for him.
00:36He was in that makeup chair for hours, but it was worth it because the makeup was incredible.
00:43Frankenstein, obviously a story that's been told a few times and people know.
00:46What kind of fresh spin do you feel like this kind of puts on him?
00:49Well, for first, it's Guillermo Del Toro making Frankenstein.
00:52So I think first and foremost, there's that.
00:54And again, like I said, I think the heart, you know, and how deeply personal Guillermo has, like, tethered this story to, you know, his own experiences.
01:04And it's just made it, yeah, a deeply personal story.
