'This Is A Big Deal': Trump Celebrates U.S. Steel-Nippon Merger

During a rally in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania on Friday, President Trump spoke about the merger deal between U.S. Steel and Nippon.

00:04lot of courage and he's not that big it's like okay I said Rocky I've had you

00:08up to here but boy does he have a heart right hearts it's all about the heart

00:13also Senator Dave McCormick who had a great election victory and he sends his

00:19regards he's he's trying to get a certain bill through that's going to

00:23give you the largest tax cuts in history and we got to get it done so thank you

00:28to Dave he's been great perhaps most importantly let me thank the tough

00:33hard-working members of the United States Steelworkers Local 2227 and the

00:40United States Steelworkers Local 1219 and the United States Steelworkers Local

00:471557 you people are amazing and look what you've been able to do look what

00:53you've been able to do this is a big deal today this is a big deal you know I

01:01have to tell you about Nippon they kept asking me over and I kept rejecting and

01:06no way no way no way and after about four times I said you know these people

01:12really want to do a great thing they want to they really want it and they're

01:16putting up you know billions of dollars and they're going to do this plant and

01:20other plants and it's great and you're going to have control you're going to

01:24maintain control and nobody would put up money like that and every time Dave I

01:30think you'll say every time they came in the deal got better and better and

01:34better for the workers because I didn't give a damn about anybody else if you

01:37want to know the truth and the rest of them they'll take care of themselves but

01:43for the workers and I have no doubt that Nippon and Dave and everybody else we're

01:49all working together they're not going to be in Washington I'm going to be

01:51watching over it and it's going to be great but there's unbelievable spirit for

01:57what you're doing and I'm telling you you're going to find out that the great

02:01people of Japan and we love them
