00:00But there's only two teams from the American League, the Yanks and the Tigers,

00:04that have two of the seven best prices to win a World Series.

00:08The other five teams, including L.A., hail from the NL.

00:11So based on the path, despite the Dodgers being such a short favorite,

00:16maybe it's better for the Yankees to get back to a World Series,

00:20which I think is what Donnie was saying to start off Hour 2.

00:23But then when I asked him who would he be most surprised by

00:26if they fell short of a World Series once again,

00:29he said the Dodgers, it sounded confusing.

00:33So DRS, please explain your thought process behind that philosophy here.

00:38When you're looking at the Yankees, the Yankees are a very good baseball team.

00:41The Yankees play not in such a good, let's just say, league as the Dodgers do.

00:45So for me, thinking that the Yankees will make the World Series

00:48because they don't have a tougher path is appropriate there.

00:51But also at the same time, you look at the Los Angeles Dodgers, you say,

00:54yes, their path is much harder than the Yankees.

00:57But I do think the Dodgers are much better than the Yankees.

01:00And even the projections is what we're looking at, right?

01:02As I continue to say, after the trade deadline, when the Yankees will see what they add

01:06or the Dodgers will see what they add, I think by the time if we have no catastrophic injuries,

01:11you had Shohei Ohtani back into that lineup as possibly a pitcher,

01:13even a high leverage pitcher.

01:15Hey, coming in the sixth inning of the NL wild card to sort of shut down a rally here,

01:20that's unbelievable if you can do that.

01:21So it does sound convoluted the way I'm trying to explain it, but understand this.

01:25The Dodgers are the better team.

01:26Just because they're the harder road doesn't mean they can't get there.

01:29So for me, the Yankees, if they slip up in the postseason, I'd say, well, yeah,

01:32they weren't as good and it wasn't as tough a run, but, you know,

01:35that pedigree of a team for the Dodgers.

01:37So the Dodgers by far are going to have the toughest schedule to get to the World Series,

01:41but I still would be absolutely shocked more technically if the Dodgers don't make it

01:45because of that payroll and the expectations of adding a reliever,

01:49a bat, and or a starting pitcher by the time we even get to August.
