00:00Things these children are living in the island, they do not have access to education.
00:09Why don't we just take education to their justice?
00:13I want you to look at my clothes. Look at my clothes I'm wearing.
00:15Have you seen it? What is this?
00:30My name is Lovedi Makjoli Ekeke and I am the team leader for Teachers Beyond Borders.
00:38Teachers Beyond Borders is a non-governmental organization founded by young passionate teachers who have come together with a vision of ensuring that every child has access to education.
00:51So we travel to communities we think do not have access to schools, especially those in the riverine areas.
01:01So I and my team are traveling to Edomik Island. A bus will have to drive us to a certain point and then we have to take a speedboat.
01:17Here we are coming to teach the children basic.
01:21Writing, reading and then of course numbering.
01:26In a country of this nature where we think the literacy level is high, there are also communities without at least primary schools to give them the basic education.
01:36We intend to make sure that every community without a school has at least a primary school for a start.
01:43I would say that the vision is very big. Sometimes it scares me.
01:51One of my greatest announcements I would like to make is that the school we established or started in Istanbul is still running.
01:58And we have over 120 children. A vast majority of them can write on their own.
02:04I think this is basically our achievement in the lives of these children.
02:08And we have over the country that we will meet with the children.
02:09In the lives of these children in the rest.
02:11As we go, we have a big goal.
02:12And we will celebrate with the children.
02:13We will have to make sure that there will be among your children as well.
