00:16Today is the closing ceremony of the Cannes Film Festival 2025 and I am

00:23getting ready for the red carpet of the closing ceremony. This is my first time

00:28at the Cannes Film Festival. I am of course always excited, a bunch of nerves. I truly thrive in this

00:36sort of chaos. It's a bit strange, I don't know why but like the chaos always tends to find us.

00:41A couple of minutes ago we had no electricity for the last four hours so Amit over here was actually

00:49taking my hair extensions and he put it on a tong and he put it out in the sun so that it could heat

00:55up because we had no electricity. We figured it out as we're going but now we're very grateful

00:59and thankful that the electricity is back. Do I feel like I blend into any of these big sort

01:07of international red carpet events? If you knew who I was personally I'm a combination of shy and

01:13outgoing like I have my days where I can be like totally working it literally within seconds I'll

01:18be like shut the door nobody look at me I'm like hiding under the covers. So I'm a true Piscean in

01:24that sense where no emotion is constant everything just keeps changing. I think I'm still like

01:28finding my calm on the red carpet you know there is a certain overwhelming energy especially when

01:34there's like so many photographers like here look here look over the shoulder this down up wave you

01:39know smile yesterday somebody was saying do something with your hands and I was like I'm not sure what

01:44I should do with my hands. So what did you do? I did namaste. That just comes very naturally to me.

01:50My team Puneet who has been with me for 12, 11, 10 years now like too long Amit who I've also

02:03actually known since the beginning of my career and who I've attacked and not let him leave for the

02:10last two two and a half years. That's Rhea. So Rhea is the one and only stylist who can make me do things

02:23that I will never do because she just has this like very persuasive gentle but very clear tone so it's

02:33like what if if she if she's envisioning it it's just got to happen so that's why everybody loves

02:39him when I work with Rhea because they're like okay at least you won't like boss us around and tell us

02:43exactly what to do which is the same thing again and again. For me the people that I surround myself

02:48with it's really important I think for anybody to just be surrounded by the people that they feel very

02:54comfortable with and then they trust deeply especially in a creative field like ours we literally spend all

02:59our time together so it's very important that we like each other otherwise things can get awkward.

03:09This is a custom beautiful outfit for Alia it's actually the house of Gucci steak on a traditional

03:16Indian saree it's got the signature Gucci Gigi monogram which I mean I think it looks so beautiful

03:22on a saree they created this very sexy very minimal silhouette and then added this really dramatic drape

03:28which I thought was really smart a really modern way to interpret it. I think it takes that like

03:33signature Italian glamour and mixes it with Indian exuberance and creates something really special.

03:40I'm done with quiet luxury it's over for me bye no I'm just kidding. I just think that there are times

03:46where you whisper and there are times where you scream with joy and I think this is one of those times

03:51it's Alia's debut at Cannes she's the first ever Indian Gucci brand ambassador and I think to just

03:57celebrate those two worlds coming together what could be a better moment than the closing ceremony

04:01at Cannes. This it's a custom little mini Jackie in India usually when we use wear a saree we'd wear

04:07like a traditional bag like a portly and it's usually really small I just feel so proud to be able to put

04:12like a piece of my culture into this huge moment.

04:15Okay Vogue so I'm about 90% ready I'm gonna go change and then we do final touches and then we're fully ready.
