The Israeli military said on May 31 it killed Hamas chief in Gaza Mohammed Sinwar on May 13, confirming what Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said earlier this week.

00:00The Israeli military on Saturday said it had killed Hamas chief in Gaza,
00:06Mohamed Sinwar, during an operation earlier this month.
00:12The military said two other Hamas commanders, namely Mohamed Sabaneh
00:16and Mahdi Khwara, were also eliminated while operating an underground commander center.
00:21The strike happened on May 13th in the area close to the European hospital in Khan Yunis.
00:26The military said extensive intelligence measures were taken to enable a precise strike
00:30that would mitigate harm to the civilians. They maintained that the functions of the
00:34hospital were not affected by the strike. Hamas has yet to comment on the incident
00:38since Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu broke out the news earlier this week.
