00:00I am sure that you would agree that life is full of ups and downs.
00:05Just when our lives seem to be in order, the bottom falls out.
00:09Then when we recover from that blow, more problems come crashing down on us.
00:14Let's face it. Life is full of problems.
00:17We all have financial struggles.
00:18We all lose loved ones to death.
00:20We all experience sickness.
00:22We all battle with stress and anxiety.
00:24We all have problems.
00:26You see, we all have problems.
00:27Some are a little more embarrassing than others.
00:30God never promised that we would live a problem-free life.
00:34Many passages indicate that we will experience hard times.
00:37Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds.
00:41James 1, 2
00:42Though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials.
00:481 Peter 1, 6

00:51We will have problems, however.
00:53When problems occur, we can defeat them.
00:54We will look at some biblical principles on how we can triumph over life's problems.
01:00Someone once wrote,
01:01All problems become smaller if you don't dodge them but confront them.
01:05Touch a thistle timidly, and it will prick you.
01:08Grasp it boldly, and its spines crumble.
01:11We must never allow our problems to bring us down.
01:13Instead, we must bring down the problems.
01:16First, to triumph over life's problems, we must develop a positive attitude.
01:21One, when problems strike, most people get angry, bitter, discouraged, and many times depressed.
01:28However, the Bible teaches that when problems occur, we should rejoice and maintain a good attitude.
01:33We also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance.
01:38Perseverance, character, and character, hope.
01:42Romans chapter 5, 3, 4
01:44The word for rejoice literally means to glory in.
01:48We are to glory in our sufferings.
01:50Two, why should we glory in our sufferings?
01:52Because suffering produces patience, character, and hope.
01:55In other words, suffering is designed to make us better, not bitter people.
02:00God allows us to have problems so that we may mature and grow in our faith and in our character.
02:06Three, when a problem invades our lives,
02:09instead of sinking into despair and focusing on the negative aspect of the problem,
02:13we should look at the good that could come out of it.
02:16Something good can come out of our pain.
02:19Four, the next time you encounter a problem that is causing you mental or physical pain,
02:24try to maintain a positive attitude.
02:26Remember that something good can come from your pain.
02:29There will be a rainbow at the end of the tunnel.
02:32Five, if we want to triumph over our problems, we need to rejoice in the Lord.
02:37We are to be like the prophet Habakkuk, who said in,
02:42Habakkuk 3, 70-18
02:44Though the fig tree does not bud, and there are no grapes on the vines,
02:48though the olive crop fails, and the fields produce no food,
02:51though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls,
02:54yet I will rejoice in the Lord.
02:56I will be joyful in God my Savior.
03:00Second, to triumph over life's problems, we must live one day at a time
03:04and not worry about yesterday's or tomorrow's concerns.
03:08One, listen to what Jesus taught in, Matthew 6, 34.
03:12Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.
03:16Each day has enough trouble of its own.
03:19Two, if we bring yesterday's troubles and tomorrow's problems in today,
03:23then we will be so burdened down with stress
03:25that we will not be able to function properly in the present.
03:28We have enough problems to deal with in one day than to deal with past and future concerns as well.
03:35Jesus wants us to live one day at a time and not worry with past or future problems.
03:40Three, maybe you are living with a sense of failure and guilt,
03:45an unhappy realization that you haven't been the kind of person you ought to be.
03:50Maybe the problems of the past have been weighing heavily on you and squelching your happiness.
03:54Four, if you are in this situation, you can triumph over your problems and start living a happy life
04:02if you start living one day at a time and forgetting your past mistakes.
04:06But one thing I do, forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,
04:12I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
04:18Philippians 3, 13, 14.
04:21Conclusion
04:22One, when problems arise, if we maintain a positive attitude and live one day at a time
04:28and stop worrying about yesterday's and tomorrow's concerns,
04:31we are on our way to personal happiness and we will triumph over our problems.
04:36One, when problems arise, while sisters, confess individuals to win one day at a time,
04:39we are on- here at a time.
04:41One, when disgust invecca of death at a time and ha questions over when we worship those ones.
04:48One, when happiness is, when forgiveness is not just about time,
04:50it is one chord in the world and it is one major thing that we look at.
04:55One, when a hit that happens to necessity
05:02So we change the passion in our minds,
