00:00Now the masked magician will perform a trick known as the mismatched girl.

00:18He opens the boxes one door at a time to show you that there is no place to hide.

00:26Out comes the assistant.

00:27She's pretty well put together, but that doesn't mean he won't tamper with perfection.

00:33She steps inside the box and he closes the doors.

00:39He opens the top panel to show you that she is still inside.

00:44The box is spun around so you can see that she hasn't escaped through a back panel.

00:51I can tell you for a fact that she hasn't.

00:52Now the magician inserts the blades.

01:08They are made of solid steel and are designed to separate each of the boxes.

01:11It seems as if our assistant is being cut into pieces.

01:23Those boxes must be soundproof because I don't hear her screaming.

01:26Once the blades are in position, the boxes are taken down one at a time.

01:42Now the magician will attempt to reassemble his assistant.

01:44But he seems to have forgotten which box goes where.

01:50Oh well.

01:51He'll give it a try anyway.

01:52He opens the bottom box.

02:08There are her feet, right where they should be.

02:11He opens another box.

02:13So far so good.

02:15Now the top box.

02:17Uh oh.

02:17What are her thighs doing way up there?

02:20And what is her head doing down below?

02:24Something's not right.

02:26Looks like he's put the boxes back in the wrong order.

02:30Time for another try.

02:32The boxes are taken down again.

02:39Learning from his mistakes, the magician begins to reassemble the boxes.

02:42Now I think he's got it.

03:02One by one he removes the blades.

03:07I hope he's got it right this time.

03:09It'd be a shame to mess up a body like that.

03:12Finally, the doors are opened.

03:27And there she is.

03:29All in one piece.

03:31Wondering how it was done?

03:33Don't worry.

03:34Here are the secrets.

03:35First, the assistant is loaded into the box.

03:46The magician opens the top door to show you that she is really inside and standing upright.

03:51He closes the door and the boxes are spun around.

03:57Inside, our assistant drops down and hides in a secret compartment in the bottom of the box.

04:02Below her, there's a trap door containing two mannequin feet.

04:12I bet you can figure out why.

04:16She puts the feet into position as if they were her own.

04:19The feet are dressed in stockings identical to those worn by the assistant to make the illusion seem more convincing.

04:27While the magician inserts the blades, our assistant gets into position.

04:32She uses a black cloth to conceal her body.

04:36Just before the bottom blade is pushed in, she squeezes herself into the bottom box.

04:41Look how close the blade comes to her shoulder.

04:43One by one, the boxes are taken down.

04:49The colored stars on the sides of the boxes help the magician correctly assemble them.

04:56Each box is a front and a back side.

05:00The front is where the assistant hides, and the back is where the mannequin is.

05:06See the fake thighs?

05:10The boxes are turned so the parts of the mannequin are now in front.

05:14When the first door is opened, you are actually seeing the mannequin's legs, and not the assistant's.

05:21The same is true with the torso.

05:23It's dressed just like our assistant.

05:25And no, those are not real thighs.

05:30Meanwhile, the assistant's head pops into the second box, so she can give that confused look.

05:35But if there's a solid steel blade between the boxes, then how does her head manage to get through?

05:45Take a look.

05:48There's a secret panel in the bottom blade that opens up.

05:52See?

05:52Now there's room for her head.

05:54The magician shuts the doors.

05:59As soon as that happens, the assistant closes the secret panel, then hides back inside the bottom box.

06:04While the other assistants are busy taking down and reassembling the boxes,

06:13our assistant inside is busy putting the mannequin legs back into the secret compartment.

06:21When the first blade is removed, she begins to stand upright so she can finish the trick.

06:41The final blade is removed.

06:47The magician opens the doors.

06:49The assistant steps out, and the illusion is complete.
