Transcript
00:00This is the Community Hero Award for Emergency Services, and this is sponsored by the A-Star Group.
00:07This award celebrates the incredible individuals who work tirelessly to keep our community safe and secure.
00:16Now, it recognises dedication, also bravery and selfishness of those in our emergency services.
00:23Now, tonight we honour paramedics from C-CAM, who have gone above and beyond in their service.
00:32The nominees say, and I quote,
00:34After answering a 999 call for my son, who had taken a drug overdose,
00:40they treated us with compassion and have since stayed in touch to help us raise awareness.
00:46They organised an ambulance to attend one of our fundraisers, bringing joy and support to the event.
00:53Furthermore, they have volunteered their time to be filmed discussing drug awareness for our workshop,
01:00helping us reach countless young people with our important message.
01:05So their commitment to supporting our community is truly commendable.
01:10So the winners tonight, ladies and gentlemen, are the Community Hero Award for Emergency Services,
01:16Jenny and Jess.
01:18How are we?
01:1913 or 12 years.
01:22Two years.
01:23Which is basic wording?
01:25Yes, you're at the working ambulance station in Darington.
01:27That's good.
01:28This is quite a special award, isn't it?
01:30You've really made a difference to people, haven't you?
01:33I like to think so.
01:34But it's not just, you know, caring at the time of need from a 999 call.
01:39It's all the after stuff that you both have done.
01:41It's been an absolute privilege, and Nikki is the most amazing person on the planet.
01:49What she's done is incredible, and, you know, we're just privileged and really honoured to support the Bidding Beyond charity.
01:57You know, what I mean?
01:59It's just, yeah, it's incredible.
