00:00I'm on Harris Street in Bathurst and this is a memorial to Bathurst missing teen Jessica Small.
00:06Jessica was abducted from Bathurst almost 28 years ago.
00:10This is where the car that she was in pulled up and unfortunately she never got out.
00:15New South Wales Police earlier this month indicated fresh information in the case had come forward
00:21and a subsequent second inquest will be held at some time in the future.
00:26I spoke to Jessica's mother Ricky this week who welcomed news of the new inquest
00:31and said it provided her with fresh hope that one day she might find out what happened to her daughter.
00:36Ricky, Jessica's mum, spoke to me this week about the trauma that she has suffered over the last almost 28 years,
00:46trying to find answers to what happened to her daughter on that fateful night.
00:51You know, you're looking back 2007, Jessica's brief is lost in the system.
00:57You know, 2007 again, Ricky's begging for police to look at her daughter's case and hope it moved to inquest.
01:04So she has some indication of what happened that night.
01:192006, you know, she's still pleading for answers.
01:22There's a there's a clipping here that's December 2008 and she's asking to meet with then police minister Tony Kelly
01:39to discuss the case and try and find out why after all these years nothing is has come to light about her daughter's abduction.
