00:00We got the news today that Russia has offered Ukraine a date, we know it's the 2nd of June,
00:06for direct talks again about a pathway to peace, the second time.
00:13And do you think Ukraine is going to agree to these talks?
00:17And, I mean, has Russia even changed its stance at all?
00:23I don't think Russia has changed its stance.
00:25And I don't think Putin is now ready for peace in that sense.
00:31And most importantly, he doesn't want to negotiate the peace with Zelensky.
00:35He wants to negotiate the peace with Trump as part, as one piece of the whole negotiations of Russia with the U.S.,
00:45going from, you know, their status in the world to their influence, to economic relations, to all these aspects.
00:53And then Ukraine is only one piece of the puzzle in that sense.
00:57I don't think the...
00:59I think the negotiations or the offer that Russia has sent is simply to appease a little bit the anger of Trump,
01:04as we have seen a strong reaction from Trump that Putin is not reacting properly, Putin is not giving us anything.
01:11But then again, we have to understand how Putin sees these things and how much he thinks he can push the limits little by little.
01:19And also, again, make these small gains as he goes before we reach a settlement or a negotiation.
