We went out into Manchester to ask people on the street about airlines and their baggage restrictions.

Which airlines are strictest? Do people put a lot of thought into weight limits while they’re packing?

Let’s see what they had to say.

00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World. My name is Theo Houston Betts and today I'm out in very sunny Manchester talking to people about holidays, particularly about baggage.
00:08Now packing a suitcase or a hand luggage bag can be one of the most stressful parts of a holiday.
00:13You're worried about weight, you're worried about size and some of the airlines are real sticklers for the rules.
00:17We want to know if people have had a bad experience where they've been turned away or forced to unpack in the airport
00:22and whether they think airlines can afford to be a bit more lenient.
00:25Yeah, I think all I need to say is Ryanair, everyone will understand what I'm saying.
00:29It smells like for say this trip, I just packed like one we were at each day.
00:34But I say on like big holidays you kind of just travel stuff in, hoping for the best really.
00:39Nah, I mean some are better than others. I think some deliberately try and cash out like parking companies, that kind of thing.
00:45So if you trip up, they just fine you effectively for extra revenue. Others are clear and easy and reasonable.
00:52I feel like the day will come soon enough and we're going to have to start traveling extra jumpers on.
00:56But it doesn't really make much sense. Does it look fine? It's still a girl.
01:00I don't know Room for you and the rest that day?
01:01Let's say I was a girl around here intwo miles.
