00:09Combat in Dune Awakening is the fusion of melee, shields, range, abilities, and vehicles.

00:21As you progress, your tactical options expand, allowing you to express yourself through different styles of play.

00:30In the beginning, combat is a short, brutal affair.

00:40Do everything you can to knock your opponents off balance and open them up for a retaliating strike.

00:48Keep an eye on your stamina, or find yourself in trouble.

01:09Ranged weapons like the Mauler Pistol allow you to maintain distance, and take down enemies from afar, until a shielded enemy enters the fray.

01:30Their kinetic barrier can only be pierced by slow-moving objects.

01:35Fast on defense, slow on attack.

01:38Swords, daggers, kinjoids, and rapiers are effective for dealing with shielded enemies.

01:45But without a shield of your own, you will quickly be overwhelmed by enemy fire.

01:53But the shields also have a weakness beyond the slow blade.
