00:00See, when you start of the IPL season, obviously your first goal is to think of the play-offs,
00:06how you're going to get there, what kind of plans you're going to have.
00:09We obviously made the conscious effort of the challenges which we are facing in the beginning
00:15of the season, which is losing a few of our main bowlers to injuries. We consciously made the
00:20effort. We're not really going to pay too much attention to that and we're still going to find
00:25a way of putting up games of cricket together and finding ways of winning the match. That is
00:30something was the process which everyone were aligned to and looking at that, we've had a decent
00:39season from that point of view, but yes, we fell short and putting the game together was a challenge
00:47which was evident right throughout the season and those are the learnings which we have from the
00:52season. So there are positives, a lot of positives. The stability was evident with regard to batting,
00:58but with regard to bowling, we were trying to figure out the combinations, we're trying to figure out
01:03the options which can get us over the line and that is something was the story right throughout the season.
01:10Well, he's been good as a leader, you know, that is something which was a bright positive for us
01:33throughout the season. The form with the bat definitely was something which was a learning
01:40experience for him as well to have this kind of a season, but the ability caliber is something which
01:47no one has any doubt about, you know, so that's the way we are looking at it. So we are happy
01:52that he finished on a very strong note and that's the caliber which he has, you know, that's the impact
01:58he can have on the game. The season is done, but the journey has just begun, you know, as Lucknow Super
02:06Giants as franchise and that's what we are hopeful of. So we got the building blocks in place. It's just
02:13about sustaining and keep working on things which we have to work on, the learnings from the season and
02:22then come back strong. This is something, you know, which we would really like to do for the upcoming season.
02:28And another interesting fact is that four matches are played on red soil and the number of all
02:35books and on the black soil two of the one out of the…
02:43I don't know, it is a bit weird, but do you think there is any…
02:46Well, I think, I think you got to play, you got to play good cricket, you know, that is something
02:50which we always have been focused on. Yes, there are finer points which you can talk about, but this is
02:57not the stage, I think, you know, for me to talk about it. When it was necessary, I did speak up
03:02about what my thoughts were, but as the season is coming to an end, it's just about focusing on
03:09the cricketing aspects and the squad and the requirement of the squad, the learning from the
03:14season and strengthening the positives which we had this season is something, you know, which I would
03:20like to focus on. The other things we'll definitely look at, but I don't think today is the stage for
03:29for that to be spoken about.
03:30Sir, last point, one particular that has been, you know, right on the tournament that has been
03:36with Nations, the idea of whatever you want to name it. And sir, does the management really
03:43endorses the idea about, do you think it's, that it's for you to be popped up or is it going to be too
03:49more… No, you got to find the right balance, you know, so that is something which we all have been,
03:54have been guiding and mentoring him around. You know, he's a great talent, he's had a good season.
04:01The things, as you start your journey in cricket, it's always about evolving yourself as a bowler,
04:09as a player, as a person, you know, so that is something which everyone looks to work towards.
04:17So, I don't see Rathia as an exception, you know, he's a keen learner of the game, he thinks about the
04:22game, it's about finding that right balance, I would say, which he will in due course.
04:38See, I think IPL can bring its own challenges, you know, it's a, it's a highly competitive league,
04:45so, so you can, as a player, hit form, you can be put under pressure, you can have a tough season,
04:51so, so that's the way the game goes, you know, in terms of his ability, there is no question on his
04:57ability, it's about working on the game and keep working on the game is something, you know,
05:02which, which we've been talking about. He's a, he's a hard working guy, you know, he's a terrific guy
05:06to have around, he's got amazing ability with the ball, it's just about, you know, hitting the form early
05:13and, and finding a way of, of understanding the how, how the game is also evolving, you know,
05:19so, so, so that's the way, we've had our chats.
05:21Okay, thank you.
05:23Okay, thank you.
05:25Okay, tell me, tell me, last, last, last, why don't you leave?
05:28Okay, thank you.
05:31Okay, thank you.
05:33Okay, thank you.
05:33Okay, thank you.
05:36Okay, thank you.
05:45Okay, thank you.
05:47Look, these challenges are coming, it is necessary to do more than the gain-buzz, the better.
05:58All these things have been discussed.
