00:00So we just heard from Donald Trump there.
00:02It was a fairly stern comment when he came to the condemnation of Putin,
00:09saying he's gone absolutely crazy.
00:13Is this clear frustration from the US president playing out here?
00:18He's frustrated. He's impatient.
00:21If you remember going into the elections,
00:24he was saying that he was going to end the war in Ukraine within 24 hours.
00:28Then that transmorphed into the first 100 days.
00:31The first 100 days have now passed.
00:33And the ceasefire talks, which did kick off in Riyadh in the middle of February,
00:38have basically stalled.
00:40Both sides are digging in their heels.
00:42The issue turns on this 30-day unconditional ceasefire that Trump proposed in March.
00:48And Zelensky immediately accepted that.
00:51And Putin said in principle he would accept it, but had a whole bunch of conditions.
00:55And those conditions are still being negotiated.
00:58The foreign minister is supposed to produce a new list this week,
01:02laying out the exact terms whereby Russia would be prepared to go into talks.
01:06But it's not going anywhere.
01:07And Trump, this is frustrating.
01:09I mean, he wanted a PR win.
01:10He wants to look like the great peacemaker.
01:12He wants to bring this war to an end.
01:14He wants to 30 minutes.
