Churachandpur (Manipur), 27 May (ANI): Meet Anish Ahamad, a silent guardian of the environment from Bualjang Hills of Manipur, whose passion for conservation has been growing for nearly 30 years. Inspired by a love for nature since childhood, he has single-handedly planted over 100,000 trees and shared more than 40,000 saplings with others — all at no cost. Anish’s journey is a testament to how one person’s dedication can nurture a greener tomorrow.Anish runs a nursery at home, collecting seeds and nurturing saplings at his own expense, without a greenhouse or water tank. His spirit remains unshaken. From hilltops to schools, parks, and roadsides, he spreads greenery wherever he can.Anish also teaches children and villagers how to plant trees and raises awareness about the dangers of deforestation. 00:45The journey of my life, it was nearly 30 years of environmental work, voluntary service,
00:52from collecting seeds to making saplings and raising awareness, planting trees
01:02and making some other easy methods to regenerate the forest,
01:07like making seed bowls for regeneration of forest.
01:12And there are so many other ways.
01:14There are multiple ways of approach to achieve the carbon-free India,
01:19I mean, to achieve these environmental regeneration policies.

02:01In the beginning, in the initial days, I have planted mostly in the community area,
02:09like roadside plantation in the krematorium area,
02:13in the school campus, and so many other parts of Manipur.
02:17And apart from that, I work in the very remote areas of the hilly regions of Manipur,
02:22and the people who stay there in the very remote area,
02:25they have well acknowledged and, what to say,
02:29they work together with me.
02:30I have planted thousands of trees together.
