00:00Yeah, I've been to Brazil a couple of times and I visited our club in Bragança but I was always here on my own or with like colleagues but we've never been here as a club and now we're here as a club with the team, with the coaches and everyone involved and the first couple of days have been very exciting.
00:18I mean from the very first moment we arrived in Sao Paulo, you can feel the positive atmosphere, you can feel the life-loving mindset that most people here have and you can feel on each and every corner of the city, whatever you do, you can feel the role of football, the passion of football that plays here and a very important role.
00:42Yeah, I mean it's our first time in Brazil as a club with the whole team and we have had a lot of different football touch points, went to a museum and went in the park and went to a school but yeah and there are still three days to come but of course being in the market playing a friendly is important because at the end people want to see a good match and they want to see our football and we want to convince them that we have built something big in Leipzig
01:10and of course the opponent plays a very important role and we are more than thankful regarding Santos and also Bragantino who helped us to become a partner of Santos with this match to play against each other because Santos is a club that most football fans know not only in South America of course but also in Europe.

02:22Yeah it's fun I mean we are not only a football club in Germany but we have a partner such as Red Bull so that enlarges the way we can be active in sports so bringing together different football clubs having a unique common understanding on how we want to play football.

02:57and this is what we do we want to excite people of course in Leipzig we want to have an exciting match day in Leipzig we want to excite on the pitch but we want to excite not only on pitch and in the stadium but like wherever we attract other people.
03:11me in person I have a long lasting relationship to Bergantino for a couple of years with Andre now and I was here for example last time in November and visited I think it was an under 14 or under 15 tournament at the academy there and seeing other teams there there was a Santos team I think there was a Palmares team as well and seeing how engaged these kids are and these parents are that was so good to see and I want to have this joy and this
03:41love regarding football also in Leipzig and in the Bundesliga and the relationship between the two clubs is important for us and we have to visit each other and we have to bring together the right partners to talk to each other and develop a common understanding on how we want to create exciting football together.
04:01most intense moment was the match against Bayern Munich only a couple of weeks ago because we did a very good first half we scored 2-0 and then and then there was Bayern Munich and they scored two goals within one and a half minutes and then they scored the 3-2 and they were all already ready to celebrate this championship but then we scored in the 19th minutes so it was 3-3 at the end that was a very very exciting and intense match
04:27and this is something that I will remember for sure in the future the preparation for the season it starts right now it does not start in July or end of July it starts now because there's a lot of homework we have to do we have to bring back the right way of playing football on pitch we have to bring the right balance of leadership into the team of course we have to find the right head coach and we're working on that currently
04:53currently and then we will have two months of proper preparation we will do another training camp to really be focused and be on spot ready at the beginning of August when we will have our first friend in Leipzig and then we play cup and then the Bundesliga starts so there's a lot of homework to do in all parts of the club
05:15because we want to make the next season successful again and therefore everyone has to be ready to go the extra mile and we are training for this extra mile right now
05:25we are the first team from Bundesliga that is here in Brazil since 25 years it's been a long time which is kind of strange because there's so much enthusiasm regarding Brazilian players in the Bundesliga
05:37but clubs have to come to the market and actually be here and be feasible and have to be seen at friendly matches etc so this is all important but it's also important that it's not a one-off so we have to constantly be in the market with our first men's team but also with youth teams maybe also our women team we have a Bundesliga women team that is doing quite well so there are a lot of different parts of the club that come to this market
06:06and experience football here but also leave an impression from a German Bundesliga club here as well
