02:20I need to call my mom. I haven't done that yet. But yeah, no, I can't wait to call her and to
02:26Just talk with her a question. How hot is it on stage when you are surrounded by those flames describe the experience tonight?
02:34Well, yeah, no, I feel the pyro especially in the dance break when I go like like this
02:40I feel the pyro in my back like like meant my entire like backside is like I get loud
02:46No, and actually yesterday fun fact
02:48It was so hot on stage that my shoe like it melted it literally melted from the heat on stage
02:54So we had to get it fixed this morning actually, so we're hoping that you're fireproof for the grand final. I hope so
03:01Hello, we are Skoda Electronica and we represent Albania Albania with the songs young guys
03:07How are you feeling you have qualified for the grand final all that hard work has paid off. What does it feel like?
03:13We're so happy
03:15To be qualified
03:17Feel like what a fight man. Yeah, I'm feeling more qualified now than before like on fire right now
03:24Yes, can you describe the experience of performing tonight? It's been so much hard work for you both
03:30What did it feel like being up on stage? It was amazing to see all those people, you know
03:36Watching you and giving you power. It was beautiful
03:40Unforgettable you had your mum with you as well next to you when the results came in. What did that feel like?
03:47Yeah, I mean for me was amazing to have her in this experience because she's not there like a mother
03:54But she's there like a creative so I'm so proud of her too. You know, I was amazing. Yeah, she screamed a lot
04:01More than you. Yeah more than us because we have to stay quiet with the boys, you know, but she screamed a lot
04:07Sweden Bora Bora Boston. Koi. You have qualified for the grand final you have spread sauna love around this world
04:15How are you feeling first to you? Yeah, really warm. It's
04:19an amazing
04:21vibe in the arena just I
04:25Feel great
04:26So what was that moment like when you when Sweden was announced it was such a relief
04:32You know and we were quite early on so we could party hard with all the other artists. I mean it was
04:39just endorphins
04:42Explosion Kevin. How did it feel performing that song in the live semi-final to that audience?
04:47It was amazing the Eurovision crowd gave us all their love and support and we could hear them singing along
04:53It was absolutely anything you could dream of your suits or look super pristine still how much sweat is there underneath it?
05:01It's so much sweat. Do not do not come in close. No, no, don't worry. There's no smell guys
05:06You want to give a message to everybody back in Sweden that has followed you voted for you since Melodifestivalen
05:12to the same tax variant nitro pause we come from
05:16Ingen vis-a-vis, but know if you have know if you know, it's got your vote best. I do Santa. No, Joey
05:21Oh
05:23Hello, I'm Claude and I'm representing the Netherlands with my song called C'est la vie. You have qualified for the grand final
05:29How you feeling? I'm Felix. I feel so amazing. I qualify for the grand finals. That's insane
05:35How much hard work have you put into that performance?
05:38There's been a lot of work in the performance, but not just from me
05:41But the whole crew the whole team and everybody on the stage, it's it's insane
05:46Describe that tension waiting for your name of your country to be to be played out
05:51So there was a lot of tension
05:53Waiting for the name of my country and it was so insane
05:56But I was like wait, maybe not the first time but the second time they're gonna say my name
06:01But I sat there and they called our name as the first time we were on the screen. It's amazing
06:06How tricky is it to do that performance where the camera is on you the entire time one camera one take?
06:13Your face right there
06:15it's so lovely to do the the camera thing just the whole dance with my the camera and it's
06:21It's like a one-shot
06:22but it also brings a lot of tension in it because we are in a dance when I go this way he goes that way and
06:29Every time when I just walk to the cameraman
06:31I gave him a box and I'm like we got this because we're also doing it together
06:36Dancing with your cameraman. I love it dancing with my camera, man
06:40Hey, it's Gabri Ponten
06:42Representing San Marino with my son Tutal Italia so happy to be in for the final. I'm so excited
06:49I really hope for that and then you know, you never know music is so unpredictable
06:54So until you know the last very last second we were like, oh, come on
06:59I'm so happy and I'm so grateful to all of my fans for voting me and so grateful
07:06To my team for helping me all the girls and the boys
07:10Work with me for the you know, putting up the show. It's been a long journey and you know great team
07:17What was that tension like waiting to hear the word San Marino was long was the longest minute of my life
07:24We know that this song is meant for big crowds and big audiences
07:29How did it feel performing it and hearing everyone chant it back to me? It was amazing. I
07:36Saw it growing, you know
07:39from the very first pre parties until you know the parade in Basel and
07:45Tonight the the audience was crazy and I I was you know through my in-ears. I heard them singing
07:52It was amazing from the bottom of my heart
07:55to first of all, all my friends in San Marino who supported me and brought me here and
08:01Thanks also to all my Italian fans for voting me tonight and also
08:06To all the other fans from the rest of the world. I'm so happy
08:10I'm so honored to be part of this
08:13Fantastic show and I can't wait to be on the on stage again for the final. Hey, it's Napa

08:28Congratulations, you are going through to the grand final. How you feeling?
08:32We are feeling happy
08:34It's a blessing to pass to the final
08:37Thank you so much for the whole all the support that
08:40Portuguese people gave us people around the world that sent us messages liking our song
08:45Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts
08:48How do you think they'll be feeling on the island of Madeira where you're from out there in the Atlantic Ocean?
08:54I bet there's a party going on in some houses
08:59We also felt the amazing support for from the whole island
09:03This message is such an important message to us and also to
09:07All the digital cards from Madeira that go through the same thing that we went through. So this this song is for them
09:14Thank you so much for supporting us
09:16it was just like just such an amazing experience to go to the final and we promise to to do our best to to
09:23Make the best qualification possible. What was the tension like tonight waiting to hear Portugal's name? It was quite tense
09:30We were I think the ninth or something
09:34ninth or eighth
09:36Name to to be called. I don't know. It's it's strange to be in that situation
09:41You you kind of conform yourself with the not going through but when the when the qualification
09:49Came it's a amazing joy. Tommy cash
09:54Estonia
09:55Espresso macchiato Tommy cash you have qualified for the Eurovision Grand Final. How are you feeling?
10:03It's like all the emojis
10:05Everything just just everything. It's crazy
10:08Was it ever in doubt Tommy that you wouldn't be going through to the final, you know
10:13this voting results are nerve-wracking how they also try you when you're like many times in the camera and
10:21But you know, we did our best I mean we worked a lot for this and
10:27we feel the support and
10:29We're here. We're in the finals, baby
10:32There's been so many rehearsals
10:34Tonight it was for real. How did it feel doing it in this live semi-final tonight?
10:40It felt like it was action movie. I don't know. I don't know how to explain it, but
10:46At one point you kind of became one with the stage
10:50and you kind of just flow and
10:52Because there's so many of them you kind of I don't know how to explain but you became become one you become one and you
10:59have this calmness, you know when the music starts and
11:03Crown it crowd is silent and they then they start screaming
11:06And do you want to give a message to everyone who voted for you back in the national final Estonia?
11:12We're in the game how I promised you
11:15You always got my back and I always got yours
11:19You know, we're such a small country as I say we're rare but they will hear about us they see us I
11:29Love you. Thank you so much for being with me. Hey, we're safer blood from Ukraine and we qualified to the final
11:36Thank you so much
11:37Congratulation to us. I
11:41Mean you need to see his reaction. We can we can describe it with the video. Can you show the video?
11:46Yeah, it's just a gift it's just a gift do it. Yeah, that is the face of did we do this
11:52It's like a coldest football reaction, you know, yeah, you know
11:55My brother is always like he's always calm, but me I was so nervous because of the Ukrainian streak and I mean, yes
12:01It's a lot of fresh we can't break it and we like we were lost and then I saw who left
12:08I'm in Belgium huge Tigers
12:11Miss Slovenia, I love the Slovenian song. I love Belgium. I love Cyprus. I was I'm so like
12:16sad about the
12:18creation about yeah about Marco about
12:22Everybody who left the contestant, but you know, it's live in show. It's just a show. It's not not that serious
12:28I think but yeah, I'm so happy. I was so like nervous. I again. I don't like that
12:34They did it to us. I mean left out the last to stand but yeah, then it's a show. It's a yeah
12:40Yeah, it's show. Yeah, they know it about our our streak and
12:48If people don't know about this streak this means that Ukraine has made it to every single
12:52Grand final the pressure gets a little more every year
12:56But you're not not for us how it goes in Ukraine right now
13:01For our people that they know about the speaker
13:03Yeah, and you don't know that we are represented Ukraine and we must return but my home
13:08But I'm so happy that now this pressure will be spread
13:13another
13:14Participant the next year. I'm so happy that I'm not in this kind of list right now
13:19And how did tonight feel being on stage in the live semi-final? You've worked so hard for it. How did it feel?
13:26It's just climbing the mountain I mean from the hearse the first rehearsal it was not too good
13:32But every step and right now, I mean we did it. All right, we did it
13:37Well, I mean we just go we'll do it better in the final. We will we will yes
13:42yes, because a lot of pressure just
13:46Down and right now. Yeah, we just can enjoy the moment be more calm more down to earth
13:52That is a great thing that Eurovision provides us with like two three rehearsal because we had today
13:58We had a rehearsal with the crowd and then we had the main event with the cult
14:03Yesterday we had a jury show with the crowd and it was our third one with the crowd and it helps because yes
14:09You were like, it's not to me. Yeah, it helps
14:12Yeah, especially to the singer. Of course, we are not that busy on the stage. And yeah, my name is Mr.
14:18Tchaikovsky I am from Poland and my song it's Gaia Justyna you have qualified for the grand final
14:25How are you feeling?
14:29You know, I'm exciting I'm so happy I'm touching it's you know, it's like
14:36ecstasy
14:38You know, I have no words to tell you how what I feel inside I'm burning
14:46How did tonight's performance feel you do everything you play the violin you rave you hang from the ceiling you
14:54Scream you shout you do everything. How did you feel? Oh my god. I feel great on the stage, you know
15:00I love this and it's my
15:03it's passion in my life that the music and
15:07stage so I feel great, but I'm so happy that people love it because
15:12this is
15:13very beautiful and touching and
15:17Absolutely gorgeous. So thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I love you and thank you for the chance because it's my last chance
15:24You know that I am 52 years old. So that's last Eurovision for me. So thank you
15:30How much hard work have you put in to this performance? I'm hard-working girl from I don't know from my childhood
15:39So I work every day if I not play the concert so I go to the gym
15:44So I sing I go to the lesson all the time something and I am mother of three children. So I have many works every day
15:52That's all you're the mother of three children and you're the mother of dragons as well now
15:56Yes, the mother of dragons and mother of Eurovision because I'm the oldest woman on this contest
16:09You
16:15Hello and welcome back
16:17It is so nice to see you all we do have Marina Sati who represented Greece last year
16:23Yolanda you were there for Portugal and Jerry Hale for Ukraine Jerry. How's it feel being back on the stage?
16:29I cried the moment I took a step on the stage
16:34Because a woman took my hand the woman that held my hand when I was running from the hill
16:41when I don't ask part started I had to run all over the stage and come back again to the stage and
16:48She's holding my hand and I look into her eyes and I realized that's the same woman and I start crying
16:54It's it's the same woman as last year
16:56Yes, and she's like why are you crying and I just can't stop and in general like the whole
17:02The situation of us meeting each other together again, it's like a meeting of the graduates
17:09From school and the three of you together. Was it nice to see each other for the first time Marina?
17:14What was it like a hundred percent and also Sylvester?
17:17we've been
17:19We've been in touch with most of the people from last year
17:23Also with Yolanda, we're talking a lot
17:26I've been wearing your merch as I said last year
17:29They gave us many gifts and also the delegation from the Ukraine. They gave us some amazing socks that I've been wearing
17:37two pairs
17:39Those are the best talks. I have wait. So so so the Ukrainians gave you guys sock
17:43Yeah, I mean I have gifts from many many delegations from last year. Do you have this cute doll from Armenia?
17:50I have that that's that the doll looks like
17:53I
17:56Have it in my bedroom
17:58It's it's so cute. Honestly. Did you have the Angelina mango pizza box as well?
18:04Yes, and I had the how do we call that the set where you do this?
18:09Yo-yo, I suck at this though
18:12She tried to teach me last year still I can't do it
18:16Yeah, Yolanda. Can you believe it's been a year? It must be so nice to see your friends again. It's kind of
18:22Different what different what am I saying? Sometimes I lose my mind like in this in this world
18:28It's been like very wild because like I've done I don't know
18:32I think I've done the most concerts in a year that I've done so far. So that for me was a first
18:38And because like the year prior to your vision, I was releasing my first single
18:44So it was quite wild to like jump like that
18:48So, yeah, I'm super I'm super happy that it's been a year
18:51But it's been very fast like it like it just flew the time and now we are here
18:56I still feel like we are still like in last year
18:59I don't know if you girls feel the same but for me, it's just like like no time has passed
19:05All time has passed and no time has passed if you know what I mean, I don't know
19:09Yeah
19:09I'm just really thankful for your vision people to invite me to be like a part of the community or a family
19:16it feels like that because I
19:18Really made it to some like Eurovision related concerts and Eurovision parties
19:24It feels like I'm in a right place every time I perform for them
19:30So yeah, it's just like it's been a wonderful year
19:33Let's talk about the big secret that you've been keeping for all this time you go on stage
19:39Marina tell us all about the performance you get to sing this beautiful version of Celine Dion's
19:45Eurovision winning song
19:48Yeah, it's a tribute to Celine Dion it's a song that
19:51she performed in
19:531988 and Switzerland won with that song. It's a very nice way to be back and different
20:00With a beautiful orchestra amazing arrangement with these amazing singers our voices together and our harmonies
20:08It's it's a nice different way to be back
20:12Yeah, yeah, we're all none of us is French speaking and every time we look at each other and we're like is that okay
20:17I'm so stressed
20:22You've been perfecting your French accent for the last couple of weeks well perfecting would be maybe an exaggerating
20:29Exaggeration, but we're working on it. I'm working on it when I saw you for all that together with Sylvester as well
20:34I had this like warm feeling because you just looked like
20:39The world's best new band all on stage looking really beautiful as well
20:44Abba is back. Yeah, so who would be Benny? Oh, that would be Sylvester for sure
20:48But how much do you love Celine Jerry again? I was crying
20:54I don't know. It's very emotional
20:57But she's such a legend and to like touch even like touch her song and to be able
21:05to stay on a stage and
21:09Sing at least like one line of her song it's
21:13For me, it's a very very important moment in my life
21:17This is something that could happen like once in a lifetime, maybe but that's that's what I will like remember for my whole life
21:25Because she formed me when I was like younger and my parents would listen to her
21:31I would listen to her and this moment. This is such a
21:35Like special song because she won with her with it with it like so many years ago. Yeah 37 years ago
21:42It still touches our hearts. This is for the centuries
21:46This is music for centuries and I'm just lucky to be I think from now on we can say we collaborated with her
21:52I think you can
21:54Yeah, you completely and Celine's they're like, who are you?
22:00Marina it looks like you had fun at the Euro Club. You got to do Zadi and also some new music as well, man
22:06You know this community and also I told them last night this community. It's it's very
22:12Touching if you think about it
22:14Even even the Euro fans in Greece are very like connected with each other and very very warm and very I don't know
22:21Like passionate about this and I don't think it's easy in life to have
22:26Something that drives you so much to find it and you know to connect to make friendships
22:32through that and
22:33This always feels like something that is warm. It's alive. And this is a
22:39Really beautiful community really honestly
22:42Yeah, once we're very supportive also for artists you want you into the Eurovision community. It's like being given a big hug
22:48Yes, and and and I see that also, you know
22:52Even if it's it's one year later for us, but also with other friends that I have from Greece who participated many years ago
23:00They're still part of that community. Like it feels like the Euro fans never forget the older
23:07Contestants, you know the older artists. I I really love that and I'm really grateful and I'm really sending them a lot of love and
23:14Thank yous and I was gonna ask you Marina. Do you still have your little handkerchief from your boots last year?
23:21I mean, I
23:24Lost it. I used to lose it every time
23:28So, of course, I lost it now. I don't know. I still don't have it, but I have it in my mind
23:33It's okay. It was the iconic little pull out of the boot, you know, sometimes most of the times it didn't work, but
23:40It works on the final though, right, you know a question for all three of you
23:44Maybe if you want to answer first, when was the last time you watched your grand final performance back?
23:51I've never seen it to be honest, Marina. You've never done it
23:54I never never I I saw the previous ones because it was like a way to get feedback for the final
23:59For the finals and for the next phase, you know, I never I swear to God. I never saw the final
24:05Is it because you just want it as a moment in time?
24:08No, I just I I couldn't it is amazing
24:14Because it's gonna be online forever
24:17So I hope it is. What about you Yolanda? I'm not gonna lie. I watch it often
24:24Do you show it to any friend anybody didn't do it on my own right like in my room or every time I you know
24:30Like I have a free not not like every time I have a like free time
24:34But usually I like to I don't know like to watch it
24:37For example with our team like from last year. We like like to see it just to remember all the moments
24:43Because we came like I had so many friends working with me and that's something that I like take for for life
24:51Because I think that this experience is definitely not once in a lifetime because now we're back
24:57so I can't use it use that but like the
25:00everything we lived like all the all the experiences they made me grow into such a
25:05Like a strong like a strong woman
25:08Like surrounded by strong people and and yeah, I've just learned so much you you've always been strong
25:17From the first day I met you
25:20Nobody I think it's just a beautiful
25:22it was a beautiful experience and and I watch it a lot of times especially to understand like the beauty of
25:28Stepping on that stage because I remember going into the last
25:32Performance and I remember we did that like 14 times I think
25:36Which is crazy to think about
25:38And I remember stepping on the stage for the last time and as soon as I realized that it was gonna be the last time
25:45I looked at all the the dancers and they are they were all like
25:49Around me and like pulling down
25:51So I remember putting the hand on their shoulder and like like squeeze them to say like guys
25:56This is the last time we're gonna be here performing this song like enjoy
25:59The heck out of it because it's gonna be like the last thing I remembered
26:04Like feeling all shivery because I was doing this as such a remote
26:09robotic way because like when you sing the same song for 13 times in a row you
26:14You get lost a bit of the sense and I got it all back. So it was it was crazy
26:19yeah, you're all left-hand side of the board Queens, by the way on the like amazing performances and
26:26We've spoken about this Jerry, but you came third in the end. Like what a moment
26:32Actually, I never I never watched oh you've never watched
26:35but
26:37Eurovision fans wouldn't let me miss it because I
26:41Saw so many edits so many that and also I like if I would be with the closed eyes now
26:49I could like re
26:52like remade this
26:54Staging again and again. It's really like remember. It's muscle memory. You remember, you know exactly where to go
27:00You know how to climb up your mountain
27:03Absolutely. Yeah
27:04Your performance is I really watch it and my girlfriend is called Teresa because your song was actually one of the for example at
27:11My tour last year. She was working with us at certain points. So everybody was like singing mother Teresa
27:17She was our mother at a certain point. So that is cool anxiety speaks for itself
27:21That is just my go to the club
27:24Yeah song and just like I want to get everything out of my head. So I listen to Zoddy
27:28Here's a question for all three of you now that you're kind of a year out
27:31Did you feel like Nemo was always gonna win?
27:35I told them when I saw the performance first and I saw how they're all in it and the melody and everything
27:44We discussed it with them and I said like good luck with your winning
27:49Did they get you any of you to try the prop the spinning disc would any of you ever try it?
27:55Marina like I never tried it last year, but to be honest
27:58When I went to Malva, we had in mind that Nemo was gonna win
28:04but you know when you're there and you're working so much and you're kind of like
28:08Inside and you you kind of like lose the audience anymore. That's that's how I felt the 15 days that we were there
28:15I didn't know what was going on. But I'm glad that happened because I don't know. I really like the song. I like
28:22Nemo's voice. I like the music video when I first saw it
28:25I think the performance and the whole act was very elegant the lights. It looked like a
28:30Like a photo or like a picture like yeah also about this year. I'm really impressed
28:35I feel like the way like things are evolving so fast. Like I'm really impressed by everyone's
28:43Direction like TV direction and the way it's portrayed
28:45I think we were like we were backstage like watching some of the performances and everything even though last year
28:51I really loved it and it was very special because because we were there like this year
28:56I feel like there's like with the drones and yes
28:58That's what I want to say exactly like the the effects and everything like it's in a certain way
29:03Like I feel like it's a little bit more sci-fi as well, which I like last year
29:07I was really impressed by Bambi's direction and like the shots and the edit and everything. I was like, oh my god
29:13This is like a movie. It's not it's not like a and and this year I feels like it feels like the whole thing is
29:20Going there. Like I also saw the performance by Croatia. Was it that we saw today that again?
29:26It felt like a music video and Switzerland. Oh my god, and Jerry house Alena. How is she?
29:32She's actually performing a lot, too. She just gave her big concert in
29:38one of the main venues in KU and she's organizing pretty big one in the biggest venue and
29:47Yeah, she's really developing in Ukraine nowadays and she's singing more
29:52So it's a new path for her career after your vision, I guess you had your moment last year
29:58You've had the little drip back this year. Is it giving you any kind of appetite to maybe one day in the future?
30:05Do it again. I
30:07Mean look to be honest
30:09My life has taught me that you can never predict
30:12I would say that it feels too soon and that I feel I got the information and I gave
30:19Everything I could in this and it still feels like I haven't taken a break since then
30:24I had to finish the album that I released two weeks ago
30:28So it's really hard for me to think of that right now. I love the experience
30:33But now I'm also focusing on my first album. So it is a lot of work and it's a first for me
30:39So I do believe as Marina said like it's it's very early to to think about it again, but obviously it is something
30:49That I dream sometimes, you know, like just because of the experience that it was so good
30:53But for now, I will be focusing on my first album. It's exciting. Yeah, that is gonna come out at the end of the year
31:00and on the dates we have planned and everything and the and the gigs
31:04and just do music because I think
31:06Like I need to do more music than you know, yeah, I just feel like I need to do music for now Jerry
31:13How about you? How about my appetite? I'm always hungry
31:17Hungry for more Eurovision hungry for more Eurovision success
31:22So never say never I think that's the that's the general vibe. Never say never
31:27Maybe one day we'll get a collab between the three of you
31:30You know sing like you know, like our languages or maybe switch languages
31:33I want to hear you sing in Ukrainian Yolanda really
31:40Yeah, so so Jerry in Greek
31:44Marina in Portuguese
31:48But Greek and Ukrainian might be a little bit hard
31:52You did do French remember that and my final question
31:56Your go-to Celine Dion song Marina. It can be the most basic one. I
32:02Love that one, too
32:04Everyone always says my heart will go on but I like the upbeat ones of Celine Dion Yolanda
32:08I would say my heart will go on and then I cry every time you're almost wearing right now
32:15Kind of like Titanic esque necklace
32:20Yeah, but that's what that's my favorite song of Celine's yeah, it always makes me cry and Jerry
32:24I wanted to say my heart will go on then. I'm left with
32:28Which
32:30Is also beautiful song it's a beautiful song. It was a beautiful moment on stage
32:34I want to say thank you for coming back and creating that special moment honoring the OG diva herself miss Celine Dion
32:42What a woman and it has been lovely to see you. Thank you for coming back on the podcast. Thank you so much. Thank you
