“Cops” is a 1922 American silent short comedy film directed by Buster Keaton and Edward F. Cline. The film follows a young man (played by Keaton) who, through a series of mishaps, accidentally gets on the bad side of the entire Los Angeles Police Department during a parade. As chaos unfolds, he is relentlessly chased all over town, leading to a series of inventive and hilarious stunts. It was selected for preservation in the U.S. National Film Registry for its cultural and historical significance
