00:00Big hug to all of you. Love you.
00:30Now Rahul Gandhi is meeting with families of the victims. There you see there's a lot of security cover for the leader of the opposition as he makes his way to meet the families of the victims.
01:00At the moment he's meeting some students as well.
01:30There you go.
01:37There you go.
01:43There you go.
01:47There you go.
01:48There you go.
01:53There you go.
01:58After the recent shelling from Pakistan in which several Indian civilians lost their
02:20lives, Rahul Gandhi is in Unch to meet the families of the victims. He said that he wants to go
02:31ahead and meet families and share the pain with them. Let me go across to Meir Fareed for more.
02:38Meir, could you give us more details of what Rahul's program going forward is going to look like?
02:44Well, yes, we know kind of damage that has happened in Pooch because of Pakistani firing.
02:54There was firing non-stop in Pooch and Rajuri sectors, but especially if it was Pooch,
02:59there was a lot of damage. There were civilian built-up areas that were smashed in the
03:04salishening and for the first time even the town area was hit. Now, the government is
03:09everyone is coming together for rebuilding. I think this message goes to the locals,
03:14the government of India, the people are with them. We've seen visits from various political
03:18party delegations and now Rahul Gandhi, the leader of opposition, is in Pooch and he is meeting
03:24victims of families, assuring them support from their side as well. So, this is the significance of
03:30Gandhi not only visiting them, but also various important places, schools that have been destroyed
03:36in shilling and assuring people that they will help increase the rebuilding exercise and ensure
03:42that even better facilities come in. This is significant because everyone is now coming together,
03:47be it the opposition government, we have the TMC delegation also visiting there and assuring all
03:52help to the locals in the rebuilding effort. So, Rahul Gandhi also doing the same and it will
03:58require a lot more from the government, from the opposition political bodies and almost everyone
04:03to rebuild lives of people, which obviously have been very badly hit by the shelling from the Pakistani side.
04:11Back to you.
04:18Also, Meir, this happens to be Rahul's second visit, right, to Jammu and Kashmir?
04:24Well, Rahul Gandhi is in Pooch. In fact, it's a day-long visit. So, obviously, he'll visit various locations in the
04:40Pooch area. And especially the forward lines, the yellow sea areas, the locations which have been very badly damaged by
05:01Pakistanis shell. This time around, there was very heavy artillery fire from the Pakistanis. Not just the areas close to the line of control, but even
05:06locations which were deep inside, like the town and the official buildings. Everything has been badly damaged. So,
05:18this is significant and symbolic as well, if you talk of this visit. And as I said, various political parties are trying to
05:25come together and show solidarity with the people. It shows them all help. And Gammu also, obviously, is doing its
05:31job, trying to rebuild all the infrastructure, homes, and everything that's lost in Pakistan.
05:39Okay.
