Deepak Chingakham lost his life in the line of duty due to cross-border firing from Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir's RS Pura sector on May 10. His uncle Chingakham Surjit Singh said, “He was 23 years old. He was good at sports. He joined the BSF in 2021...We are proud of him.”
