00:11Have you ever wondered what you would do if you got lost in the middle of a dark forest?

00:21Well, Hansel and Gretel did, and their adventure led them to a house made entirely of candy.

00:30But what seemed like a dream turned into something quite unexpected.

00:36Hansel and Gretel lived with their father, a poor woodcutter, and their stepmother in a small cottage near the deep forest.

00:46Times were hard, and food was scarce.

00:51We barely have enough for ourselves. If we keep feeding the children, we will all starve.

00:57We must let them go.

01:00Hansel and Gretel, hiding nearby, heard everything.

01:06Hansel, what will we do?

01:09Don't worry, Gretel. I have a plan.

01:15That night, while everyone slept, Hansel quietly stepped outside and filled his pockets with small white pebbles.

01:25The next morning, their stepmother led them deep into the woods.

01:31Stay here, children. Your father and I will return soon.

01:36But they never did.

01:39As night fell, Gretel clung to Hansel.

02:52Little did they know, the woman was a wicked witch who lured children in and never let them go.

02:59As soon as they stepped inside, the witch's smile turned into a wicked grin.

03:07Now, my dears, you will stay with me forever.

03:12She locked Hansel in a cage and forced Gretel to do chores.

03:20We have to escape.

03:22Stay strong, Gretel. We'll find a way.

03:27The witch fed Hansel every day, trying to fatten him up.

03:33But Hansel was clever.

03:36He held out a thin bone instead of his finger when she checked.

03:41Why are you still so skinny?

03:45One day, the witch decided to eat Hansel anyway.

03:50Gretel, check if the oven is hot enough.

03:57Grumbling, the witch leaned into the oven.
