00:00once upon a time in a village so small lived a kind old miller beloved by all

00:23when he passed his three sons were left behind

00:27to divide what he owned though it wasn't much to find

00:32the eldest got the mill the middle a mule but the youngest just a cat it seemed so cruel

00:41just a cat what can i do i hoped for more now i feel blue

00:50don't be so glum my master dear with a pair of boots i'll bring us cheer

00:55give me a sack and boots so fine and watch this clever plan of mine

01:04with shiny boots and a second paw puss set out clever and full of a he caught a fat rabbit plump

01:11and sweet then headed to the castle light on his feet

01:15a gift for the king so fine and rare from the marquis de kairavas with utmost care

01:25a splendid surprise a gift so grand your master shows a generous hand

01:33day by day who's brought more partridges quail and rabbits galore

03:16something tiny and quick like a mouse that scurries and hides real slick

03:24the ogre laughed and took the bait he turned to a mouse sealing his fate

03:29quick as a flash puss gave a leap and gobbled the ogre in one big sweep

03:37when the king arrived amazed he stood a castle of riches a noble's livelihood

03:44welcome your highness to my master's land the marquis de carabas brave and grand

03:51such beauty wealth and power too my daughter shall wed a man so true

04:01with a clever cat and heart so pure life with him will be secure

04:08and so they wed with joy and cheer while puss became a knight held dear no more hunger no more

04:16dread just clever plans and tales ahead so remember young ones brave and bright with clever thinking
