00:00MLS midpoint of the season with some teams that promised to be the leaders faltering
00:06and nowhere to be seen. Let's start at the beginning with the MLS because I want to talk
00:13about the debacle that is happening in Miami because it is self-fulfilling prophecy that
00:19these teams bring this past their prime talent and build these super teams and they do not
00:26perform as they are expected. Chiba, Miami is in a crisis. They are not performing nearly as they
00:35are expected to. Do you expect them to turn it around for the second half of the tournament or
00:42are we seeing the biggest failure in Lionel Messi's career? You can bring all the stars in one but
00:47you know the rhythm of the league, everything in the league is different from before where a little bit
00:53of talent or a lot of talent and not a lot of movement will make a difference. Now we can see
00:58that hey you gotta you gotta play the teams that even if they don't have a big name they're gonna
01:02score on you they're gonna beat you they're gonna you know at the atletism the rhythm of the game
01:07etc etc. I think Miami men they have to do something it's messy you know it's the goat like they call
01:12them but I don't see how they're gonna turn this around bringing in more older players to be honest.
01:20That was the case this week in Chiba where Orlando went to Miami and scored three on them.
01:270-3 was the final score. We are seeing a frustrated star that is starting to get confrontational with
01:36their referees. We see it in other teams. You know Atlanta drops 22 million dollars on a player
01:42second to last place in the Eastern Conference. Miami supposedly winning all the trophies this year
01:49probably will go empty-handed this season. Chiba, MLS is different and some of the teams are really
01:56doing it well like Philadelphia, like Cincinnati, you will say even LAFC, they are building these cohesive
02:04teams that are more about the collective than the individual. Now let's take this segue to talk about
02:11LAFC because it seemed like Cherundolo doesn't like winning big games. He likes to park the bus
02:17and lose the advantage. Those changes were crazy 2-2 and El Trafico. Marco Reus, the star of the matchday,
02:27scored two, saved the result for Galaxy that is still 14 games without winning to begin the season.
02:33Chiba, what was your take on this game? First of all, amazing derby. I think the biggest rivalry
02:39in the MLS, you know, it's not easy to say because Portland and Seattle, what they bring in the stands,
02:45the atmosphere that they bring in every game they play, it's also very, very, very good.
02:49But for everybody to name it and to call it the biggest rivalry in the MLS, I mean, you saw the
02:54passion in the stands, the passion in the field. It doesn't matter that Galaxy was in the last place
02:58and haven't won a single game. They play like a real rival against LAFC. They came out strong,
03:04they scored the first goal. I mean, you know, these are the type of games that you want to watch,
03:08that you want to witness. LAFC came back with Buanga scoring a golazo like always, Ordaz on fire,
03:14the Salvadorian-American, you know, is just bringing it. And that gets to the point of the older
03:20players, right? We have on the bench Oliver Giroud, that he's an amazing striker, but, you know,
03:25he doesn't feel with the speed of the team. And even though he's getting an out on me,
03:28he's still on the bench and he's not playing for LAFC. But going back to the game, you know,
03:32it was sad to see that again, one more time on big games, if Tic-Cherundolo cannot deliver,
03:38cannot deliver strategically, tactically, the changes that he did drop into the line of five,
03:43you can tell me that the midfielders got injured, but I mean, he just gave the way the game away.
03:48Galaxy never, I'll tell you this, if they would give us five more minutes to Galaxy,
03:52they would probably won the game. That's how bad it was.
03:54Now, Chiba, there were a lot of ties, but there were some crazy, crazy games
03:59like Toronto versus Montreal. Actually, Montreal versus Toronto, because Toronto went to Montreal,
04:056-1 defeat. Bernadette, she got a hat trick. And it seemed like this team that is still
04:12way, way below in the standings is starting to show something interesting in the last few weeks.
04:17What do you think, Chiba?
04:18I mean, finally, Toronto, Toronto has to go back to their prime time where
04:22they played two back-to-back MLS finals against Seattle. You know, they have always tried to
04:28build a strong team. Unfortunately for them and for their fans, they haven't been able to deliver
04:32when it comes to that. And I feel good for the people in Toronto, and I hope that the team grows
04:38and they continue to start getting points so they can make it to the playoffs and give some hope and
04:43dreams to their fans.
