New Delhi, May 23 2025 (ANI): After the briefing by Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, Leader of Group 5 and Congress MP Shashi Tharoor says, "... Our idea is to communicate very clearly to all our external interlocutors, the horrendous terrorism to which India has been subject to since at least 1989 from across the border... We are not going there to argue with anybody, we are there to explain what exactly is happening with our country and what we have to do and why we have found the spirit of resolution and how to deal with these terrorist attacks in the future... We would like to sensitise public opinion as well as governmental opinion along with legislative opinion in each of these countries..." After the briefing by Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, member of Group 1 and BJP MP Nishikant Dubey says, "Terrorism is a big issue and we have been affected by it since 1947. This is one reason Pakistan and India could never have good relations... There is no nation which has not been affected by terrorism...". After the briefing by Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, member of Group 2 and Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi says, "... As an Indian, we are unitedly going out to the world to tell world how Pakistan has developed a terror model, where the government trains and finances the terrorists. When terror camps are targeted, their Army jumps in to retaliate. This criminal nexus of their government, their terrorists, and their Army needs to be exposed..." After the briefing by Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, member of Group 5 and BJP MP Tejasvi Surya says, "... In so far as the objective of the delegation is concerned, it is very clear that since the formation of Pakistan, it has been a perpetrator of terror against India. In the last few decades, many countries, including the US, have suffered.
00:00We have taken the same line everywhere, there has been no formal process and mediation either requested or conducted.
00:30Zero-tolerance against terrorism. This is what has always been fought against Khatabad in the last few decades, many countries including the U.S. have suffered because of the terrorist infrastructure that Pakistan has created.
01:00We have taken the same line everywhere. There has been no formal process of mediation either requested or conducted. You call me, I tell you what I'm doing and why I'm doing it and that's it.
01:13Then if you want to go and repeat that to somebody else and they take certain consequences as a result of that, is that called mediation? I don't think so.
01:20I'm not in my vocabulary, but in any case, we are always a country that talks in a very constructive way to whoever, as there's a crisis going on.
01:27Our foreign minister, if I remember correctly, put it on his own Twitter account. Every time we had a call with another foreign minister.
01:32Many, many foreign ministers around the world calling him, expressing concern, asking what's going on. And we gave a consistent message, I believe, to all of them.
04:47The foreign secretary briefed the delegations that are leaving to multiple countries today evening in the parliament.
05:01Insofar as the objective of the delegation is concerned, it is very clear that since the formation of Pakistan,
05:10Pakistan has been a perpetrator of terror against India.
05:13In the last few decades, many countries, including the US, have suffered because of the terrorist infrastructure that Pakistan has created.
05:26Multiple terrorist organizations and leaders of terrorist groups who are internationally wanted have found safe havens in Pakistan.
05:36And it is imperative that the world takes note of this and pressurizes the Pakistani establishment to dismantle this terrorist infrastructure,
05:49not just in the context of peace with India, but for the safety and security of the rest of the world.
05:55The Prime Minister has multiple times mentioned that this is not the era of war, but he has also very clearly said that this is not an age of terrorism.
06:07Therefore, India is going to very clearly put its message against terrorism emanating from Pakistan very clearly and emphatically attack for this.
06:15And how far, how hopeful you are of success of your mission and who all you will be meeting?
06:19Our delegation that is being led by Dr. Shishi Saru will visit a few Latin American countries, South American countries and we will then be headed to the United States of America.
06:31And I am very sure that the outcome of the visit will be very positive because India's footing is based on truth, is a message of peace and is a message that resonates with the rest of the world because many countries have been victims of terrorism and also Pakistan-linked terrorism in particular.
