Da Qiqing: One of the liturgical hymns in Taoism, frequently chanted during scripture recitations. Its verses follow a seven-character regulated verse structure. The first four lines address cultivation of nature , while the latter four concern cultivation of life , embodying Taoism's dual cultivation principle of "nature-life unity"

Zhenxin Qingjing Dao Wei Zong, Pi Bi Zhongtian Baoyue Tong: These lines reveal that "pure clarity" (QingJing) constitutes the essential nature of the Dao. Practitioners must anchor themselves in the Dao as their foundation, aligning their cultivation with its principles. Through maintaining "sincere heart" (Zhenxin) and "pure clarity", one's innate wisdom manifests like the unclouded full moon shining brilliantly in the mid-heaven.

Jing Sao Miyun Wu Dian Yi, Yi Lun Guangman Tai Xukong: Comparing human's luminous primordial nature to the radiant moon, these verses acknowledge how worldly attachments often obscure our true essence. Adepts must purify desires and eliminate emotional obstructions, wiping away all mental dust until their celestial nature becomes as spotless as the moon illuminating the cosmic void - symbolizing the attainment of perpetual spiritual luminosity.

Shangyao Shenzhong Shen Qi Jing, Renren Juzu Fei Kuiying: The "supreme medicine" (Shangyao) refers not to mundane herbs but the triune treasure within: spirit (Shen ), vital energy (Qi ), and essence (Jing ). These primordial substances - distinct from ordinary consciousness, breath, or physical fluids - exist complete within all beings, neither deficient nor excessive. Practitioners must venerate spirit, cherish qi, and treasure essence as foundational cultivation principles.

Neng Zhi Hunhe Huifeng Dao, Jinding Huangya Riri Sheng: Those comprehending the alchemical method of "Wind Reversion and Blending" (Hunhe Huifeng Dao) can gradually forge the golden elixir through persistent practice. The "Golden Cauldron" (Jinding) symbolizes the perfected lower dantian, while "Yellow Sprout" (huangya) denotes the nascent elixir's manifestation - signs of immortal potential flowering through daily refinement.
