00:03At what point does our guy, Marcello Meyer,

00:05just come up and take shortstop because Trevor Story's been so bad?

00:09Well, so here's the problem.

00:11Marcello Meyer is absolutely going to be part of the perceived solution.

00:16This is their ace in the hole.

00:18They have to do things differently, and he is how you do things differently.

00:22He's played second base for the last five games in Worcester.

00:25I think he's playing it again today.

00:26Actually, I think they get canceled today.

00:31But the fact is that he is the guy that could be part of the solution.

00:36Now, where is that solution?

00:38Where is the most needed part for Marcello Meyer,

00:42which is kind of unfair to Marcello Meyer to say,

00:44hey, come in and save this infield, which has this horrific OPS in the month of May.

00:49I mean, Trevor Story right now has the worst OPS of any player in baseball

00:55in the last month.

00:56I mean, from April 22nd to May 22nd, the worst OPS not even close.

01:02That's the shortstop position.

01:03And now part of the solution is you're working out Christian Campbell,

01:07who the chorus said the other day is at a two and a half or a 30 to get to a 10

01:12where you feel comfortable with him.

01:14And okay, maybe he learns how to play first base.

01:17But the problem is, is that he's been really, really bad offensively in the month of May.

01:23I mean, really, like, I think his OPS is about 300 something in the month of May.

01:28So this kid is slumping.

01:30So, all right, he learns how to play first base.

01:32Does that solve your first base problem?

01:35Part of this is to get Marcello Meyer his spot.

01:38But I think it's fair, like you asked.

01:40It's fair to say, where is he going to land?

01:42Okay, you brought up Campbell and his struggles.

01:45Are they contributing to his struggles by bouncing him around second, outfield,

01:50now teaching him first?

01:51Is that contributing to his issues at the plate?

01:53I don't like it.

01:55I didn't like it when he was going good and you were playing them in the outfield.

01:58Like, I didn't really get that because he clearly needed work at second base.

02:04Analytically, he was one of the worst second basemen, even while he was hitting.

02:07So, to move him back and forth, that can't help.

02:11And now you're integrating this dynamic.
