00:00:00Hi guys, welcome back to another episode of Annie Knight Unhinged. I'm joined by Henry
00:00:25once again.
00:00:26Hello.
00:00:27Hello.
00:00:28Friend.
00:00:30Jokes, everyone. We're engaged.
00:00:32Yeah, we're engaged. We're back from overseas. We've got so much to update you on, but yes,
00:00:36we're engaged. This is the ring.
00:00:38Well done.
00:00:39It's a little bit big. I need to get it resized.
00:00:41Oh.
00:00:42Sorry.
00:00:43Isn't it the diamond?
00:00:44No.
00:00:45Hey, this guy. This guy.
00:00:48Yeah, so I guess, what, do we want to talk about what happened?
00:00:53Oh, the engagement itself straight up?
00:00:54Yeah, I think we should get that out of the way.
00:00:56Why?
00:00:57Because it's like all me, really. As in, I'm the one that did all the work.
00:01:00Oh.
00:01:01Because you didn't know until it happened, so this is my story.
00:01:04Okay, so cut a long story short, really. Obviously, we're over there. In the last episode, we
00:01:11touched on having such a cool summer together, and that was genuine, just so everyone knows.
00:01:17The friendship, we've been best mates for 10 years, so don't disregard anything from
00:01:21that episode.
00:01:22I think, like, this is a good point, is that everyone's confused, like, oh, they lied,
00:01:25or they had this secret relationship. We absolutely did not. Like, everything we said on that
00:01:29podcast, the last episode, was so true. Like, we never lied once. We really only started
00:01:34dating a week prior to the engagement.
00:01:36Correct.
00:01:37Which we'll get to, but just to put that out there.
00:01:39Yes, so, and then we were over there, and to be honest, like, I certainly didn't go
00:01:42over there with the mindset to get engaged. There's, like, not one thought prior, which
00:01:46is interesting. And then, yeah, went to Cancun, went to Vegas, and then went to LA, and we
00:01:54went out for dinner, and had a chat, and we had sporadic chats, sort of, like, from
00:01:59the previous pod episode, I suppose, to then. Just saying that, like, there's been a narrative
00:02:06amongst our closest friends and family of this, like, you know, you guys are going to
00:02:09end up together, like, hurry up and start, that sort of thing, which we never bought
00:02:13into. We always knew that we had so much time, and I know that sounds weird to say, because
00:02:18it went so quickly, but that's what I mean. Like, we've had so much time to think about
00:02:22this for 10 years, almost. And then, yeah, just spoke to Rach, who's Addie's assistant,
00:02:29and-
00:02:30And also a close friend now.
00:02:31Close friend now, yep. Huge shout out to Rach, and just said, I think I might do it.
00:02:35She thought I was lying the first time. She's like, what are you fucking talking about?
00:02:39She's like, maybe you should, like, just try dating her.
00:02:41Yeah, yeah, because we had a dinner, like, a couple nights prior, and I'm like, we should
00:02:44date, hey? And she's like, yeah, yeah, let's do that. And then nothing changed. Like, the
00:02:48feeling didn't change, like, which then I'm sitting there, I'm like, this is the same
00:02:51feeling I've had, like, okay. And then Rach is like, I think, okay, like I said, I think
00:02:57she thought I was lying.
00:02:58Yeah.
00:02:59And then I went and got a ring with her, and I sort of, we had a big night, and I sort
00:03:05of slipped it to you that I could potentially propose, and you're like, yeah, okay, sweet.
00:03:10Like, that's, like, what? And we're pretty pissed as well.
00:03:12Also said, though, like, oh, it'll happen because we're going away to Vietnam in May.
00:03:16He was like, it'll happen after Vietnam. So I was like, oh, okay.
00:03:19Yeah, yeah, because it's a big event, and for Annie's family, her sister getting, what's
00:03:22she doing?
00:03:23She's graduating.
00:03:24Getting a degree, sorry. Anyway, so then, at that point, Annie was wigging it out a
00:03:29bit, and then we went out to this dinner, and she had absolutely no idea, where was
00:03:34it again?
00:03:35We were at Spago in Beverly Hills.
00:03:37Right.
00:03:38Quickly, going back, where'd you get the ring from?
00:03:40Jewel.
00:03:41Like, were you overseeing, was that what you said?
00:03:43Yeah, sorry, I got the ring.
00:03:44Because you said you didn't plan it.
00:03:45No, yes, yes, good point, good point.
00:03:46He got it in LA.
00:03:47I did, I got it in LA.
00:03:48So, like, literally Google nearest ring finder.
00:03:51I had no idea.
00:03:52It's the alleyway.
00:03:53Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:03:54I was like, Rachel, what are we doing here?
00:03:56So, Annie went and did a few bits and pieces, and we did it very sly.
00:03:59Yeah.
00:04:00But yeah, then went to this dinner, where Annie would have had absolutely no idea, and
00:04:04I told the maitre d', I guess, and she's like, what?
00:04:08What are you telling us beforehand?
00:04:09It's like, because I just found out that I'm going to do it.
00:04:12I don't need any added stress as to why I'm getting engaged today.
00:04:15Okay?
00:04:16Like, just bring out a bottle of Dom, bring out and put the ring in the pudding, like,
00:04:20talk to the chef.
00:04:21I'm like, listen here, chef, like, I've had a look at this dessert menu, and I need to
00:04:26put either the ring in something, or can you do something for me?
00:04:29He's like, leave it with me.
00:04:30It's an Italian bloke, he's like, leave it with me, leave it with me.
00:04:33So, it's all set up.
00:04:34And then, well, Rach said that I seemed to be on edge all that whole night, but I felt
00:04:37fine.
00:04:38No, you said, I had no clue.
00:04:39So, I actually put up a vlog on my Instagram.
00:04:42So, if you want to go watch that, you can.
00:04:44But, like, watching it back, I was like, I'm so dumb.
00:04:47Like, the signs were there.
00:04:48But, like, I was completely oblivious.
00:04:50Like, Henry literally got up, like, six times.
00:04:53With no excuse.
00:04:54No excuse.
00:04:55There was one clip in the vlog where he's like, I'm just going to get up for a second.
00:04:59I think I said, I'm just going to have a look around this corner.
00:05:02Like, he didn't say he was going to the toilet or anything.
00:05:04He was just like, I'm getting up and leaving.
00:05:06And I was like, and I'm like, okay.
00:05:08Anyway, they just ironed our table.
00:05:10Yeah, yeah, that's right.
00:05:11And we were pretty pissed by that point, too.
00:05:12Like, they had some mean cocktails.
00:05:14So, that whole liquid like, Harry Potter reference.
00:05:18Dutch courage.
00:05:19Sorry, everyone.
00:05:20But not sorry at the same time.
00:05:22And then, yeah, he went, got down on my knee.
00:05:24Wait, wait, wait.
00:05:25So, when he went to the chef or whatever, the chef was like, what should I put on it?
00:05:30Like, will he marry me or whatever?
00:05:32And he's like, no, just say yes.
00:05:34Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:05:35And I'm so glad that they didn't put that on.
00:05:38Because I would have been like, to what?
00:05:40Yeah, yeah.
00:05:41I did say that.
00:05:42That's true.
00:05:43That was an option.
00:05:44I was, yeah, again, quite pissed when I went to the chef, too.
00:05:46Like, who asks a five-star chef for anything?
00:05:48He's like, what do you want, mate?
00:05:50Like, some Aussie asking me questions about the dessert menu.
00:05:53It's like, no ring in it.
00:05:54Like, anyway.
00:05:55In a dessert.
00:05:56No.
00:05:57Like a choccy thing.
00:05:58It was on a plate.
00:05:59Like, propped up in like, I don't know what it was, sugar or something.
00:06:02With like, little chocolates around it.
00:06:04And then the chocolate sign said, will you marry me?
00:06:06Yeah.
00:06:07And then, that was a pretty wild moment.
00:06:08You sort of don't know until that happens.
00:06:10And then you get this really, Jackie, Brian will love this,
00:06:14very electric feeling.
00:06:15That is very hard to explain, to be honest.
00:06:18Not to get all mushy.
00:06:19But it's, that's when you know.
00:06:21Like, because a lot of people are like, how did you know, like, so quick?
00:06:24It's like, I actually didn't.
00:06:25Yeah.
00:06:26Until you get down.
00:06:27And then it's like, get down.
00:06:28And I was like, yeah, it was crazy.
00:06:32And then Annie cried.
00:06:33And then.
00:06:34Rachel cried.
00:06:35Rachel cried.
00:06:36And then I think, like, the whole staff are crying.
00:06:38And then a bottle of Dom comes out, which always helps.
00:06:40And then.
00:06:41And then I was like, I was paying for that.
00:06:43That's what I said to the guy.
00:06:45I'm like, bring out, look at this Dom Perignon list.
00:06:47And there's like, seven of them.
00:06:48One of them's four grand.
00:06:49One of them's.
00:06:50He was like, yeah, he was like, that was $4,000.
00:06:51And I was like.
00:06:52At that time, you're like, I don't care.
00:06:54I'm engaged.
00:06:55And then he was like, no, I'm just kidding.
00:06:56It was $400.
00:06:57Yeah.
00:06:58It was the cheapest bottle of Dom, everyone.
00:06:59So don't, like, I'm not that, you know.
00:07:01So yeah, it was a beautiful night.
00:07:03And it was beautiful.
00:07:04Yeah.
00:07:05Like, it's, it's one of those ones where you could have planned it
00:07:07when the family was there.
00:07:08He like, got down on his knee.
00:07:10And he was like, will you let me be your silly motherfucker?
00:07:13Silly motherfucker.
00:07:15How about that?
00:07:16Guys, you had a whole lifetime to think about what you say to the person
00:07:19you want to spend the rest of your life with.
00:07:21And you say some shit about yourself, being a silly motherfucker.
00:07:24It's like, yeah, well, okay.
00:07:25Like, don't be silly for the rest of your life.
00:07:27And then he's like, wait.
00:07:28And then you were like, oh, no.
00:07:29And then I was like, oh, yeah.
00:07:32I think I said yes with like a question mark.
00:07:35And then maybe you had to take a few takes to the chocolates.
00:07:37Like, silly motherfucker, chocolate says marry me.
00:07:39You're like, okay, done.
00:07:40She's got autism in case anyone didn't know.
00:07:42So I had to make it real visual for her.
00:07:43Like, there was like the literal there, the physical.
00:07:46It's like, now, Annie, what do these mean?
00:07:48Marriage.
00:07:49And I looked around and all the staff were standing watching us.
00:07:51And I'm like, what?
00:07:53So yeah, beautiful, very real.
00:07:55Just obviously needs to be said flat out, very real, everyone.
00:07:58My God.
00:07:59Yeah, that's another thing we need to talk about.
00:08:01I get it to a degree.
00:08:04Because obviously there's an episode not too long ago,
00:08:06not that everyone listens to this show, that we said we're mates.
00:08:10But we've been mates for 10 years.
00:08:12That's absolutely true.
00:08:13And it's, yeah, obviously not a generic love story.
00:08:16It's not like, you know, like we've been dating since school.
00:08:20It's cool, it's different, but it's very real.
00:08:22I think, yeah, just it is real because a lot of people think
00:08:25that it's a publicity stunt.
00:08:26Which is unfortunate.
00:08:27It's unfortunate.
00:08:28And I understand because, you know, people in the industry do stuff like that.
00:08:33And, yeah, I can understand why people would think that.
00:08:36But it's not.
00:08:37I've got a ring.
00:08:38I'm planning a wedding.
00:08:39It's going to be very expensive.
00:08:40So it's very fucking real.
00:08:41Yeah, like engagement party on the way.
00:08:43Yeah.
00:08:44I'm hoping that within the next, you know, two years,
00:08:46it'll become more obvious, I guess.
00:08:50Like I guess it's been pretty wild out there so far.
00:08:53Like the media attention on the way back from being overseas
00:08:56has been pretty crazy.
00:08:57Yeah.
00:08:58But I don't completely knock the whole narrative.
00:09:01And so, but you sort of let the sleeping dogs lie.
00:09:04Well, that's how I'm feeling about the whole situation.
00:09:06And then all we do is just, you know, try to enjoy it as much as we can.
00:09:09Keep on planning little bits and pieces.
00:09:11Like having dinner with your mom was beautiful.
00:09:13And then the more little bits and pieces that you do,
00:09:15it just becomes more real and, you know, like confirms what we're doing.
00:09:19Yeah.
00:09:20Because it was very hard initially coming back, to be fair,
00:09:24to like feel how you should feel during an engagement period.
00:09:27Yeah.
00:09:28Because of all that whirlwind.
00:09:29Yeah.
00:09:30I think it's like, it's been fine for me in a weird way as in like,
00:09:33I'm like, we were both incredibly happy, right?
00:09:36For like the first week we're overseas, we're having a great time.
00:09:38One week of happiness.
00:09:39And then we get back and like sort of reality hits where there are
00:09:43all these news articles, you know, slamming Henry.
00:09:46There's comments, his comment section we had to turn off
00:09:48because people were just being so fucked.
00:09:50A lot of colourful language.
00:09:51Yeah.
00:09:52We saw things we've never seen before.
00:09:54Crazy.
00:09:55And so like, yeah, to go from that sort of high to that low
00:09:58and then to still, you just kind of get confused because you're like,
00:10:01well, we're still happy but like we're being told we shouldn't be.
00:10:04Yeah, yeah.
00:10:05It was difficult.
00:10:06Yeah.
00:10:07It's, yeah.
00:10:08Anyway, so yeah.
00:10:09Just finding our feet, to be completely honest.
00:10:11Like I've been, everyone, and to my friend's defence,
00:10:14everyone was messaging because a lot of them found out from publicity
00:10:17before I had a chance to tell all my friends,
00:10:19which is obviously the reverse to how it usually goes.
00:10:21So I can completely understand why there's a lot of panic,
00:10:24a lot of chaos, and it took a lot of like a lot of phone calls,
00:10:27a lot of conversations, a lot of voice memos to a lot of people.
00:10:30So apologies to a lot of people that had to find out that way.
00:10:33That certainly wasn't my intention.
00:10:34And to be completely honest, I was very naive as to how it would pan out.
00:10:38So here's the thing.
00:10:39I, once it had happened, I was like, well, let's just like keep it like intimate
00:10:44for now and like try and enjoy this moment.
00:10:46And like I wasn't going to post it to my main account for a little while.
00:10:50I was going to give us time to just, you know, enjoy it ourselves.
00:10:53Daily Mail had an article out within two hours,
00:10:56and I have no idea how the flying fuck, I'm like,
00:10:59did the waiter tell them like what's going on?
00:11:02It was insane.
00:11:03Like thank God I'd called all my family and friends that needed to know
00:11:06before that went live because otherwise that would have been insane.
00:11:11So yeah, it's been like an interesting time but mostly happy and,
00:11:15you know, we're really excited.
00:11:16Yeah, super excited.
00:11:17And yeah, like I said, it's not without its challenges.
00:11:19It's not generic.
00:11:20It's a very interesting love story and it's not one that people are used to.
00:11:25So I understand that it takes a while for people to wrap their head around
00:11:29and I'm willing to give everyone as much time as Andy,
00:11:32but I know like all that really matters is that we know and we do.
00:11:36But yeah, it's been hard but it was good, beautiful.
00:11:38Yeah.
00:11:39I wanted to talk about a reel that was made by a guy named Ryan Pownall who is
00:11:45the podcast host of Pillow Talk.
00:11:48So basically to cut a long story short,
00:11:50although it's probably going to be long, went to Cancun for spring break,
00:11:53which we'll get to in a minute.
00:11:55Had a great time.
00:11:56Bonnie Blue flew Ryan out to do like an episode over there
00:12:00because it was crazy and it was good content.
00:12:03That was the first time I'd met Ryan.
00:12:05He was great, lovely guy.
00:12:06Got along like a house on fire.
00:12:08Sorry, very flirtatious, whatever.
00:12:10We had a great time.
00:12:11You said he was very similar to me but like ten times more.
00:12:13So yeah, Henry's like super extroverted but like Ryan was like Henry
00:12:17on steroids.
00:12:18Crazy.
00:12:19I was like, surely not.
00:12:20When I met this guy I was like, wow.
00:12:22And he's American so it's just like that.
00:12:24No, he's Canadian.
00:12:25Well, fuck.
00:12:26Anyway, great guy, great time, whatever.
00:12:28Then we get to L.A.
00:12:30Basically I'm going to jump forward first.
00:12:33So an article came out with the Herald Sun and Ryan made a reel basically
00:12:37saying that we went on a date and brought Henry on our date and then we were
00:12:42kissing all night in front of Henry and then what else?
00:12:47Like we left or whatever.
00:12:49Basically like just making it out as though there was a legitimate date there
00:12:53with a purpose of, I don't know, like sexual intent, I guess,
00:12:57and then I went down on Monday the next day basically.
00:13:00Yeah, so that happened and then he was saying 48 hours later I'm engaged
00:13:05to be wet or whatever.
00:13:06Yeah.
00:13:07Anyway, so I wanted to clear this up because that's not what happened.
00:13:10I went back to L.A., Ryan lives in L.A., and then he was messaging me,
00:13:14we were messaging, and he was like, let's go get dinner on Friday night.
00:13:17And he was initially like, it'll just be us two.
00:13:19And I was like, oh, can I bring at least my assistant Rachel?
00:13:22And then he was like, yeah, okay, I'll bring a friend too.
00:13:25So then there was four of us.
00:13:26And then he messaged me the day of and was like, oh,
00:13:28actually I'm going to bring two of my other friends as well.
00:13:32And so I was like, and there were girls, and so I was like, okay, well,
00:13:35at this point I'm bringing Henry then because that's five people coming,
00:13:39like you know what I mean.
00:13:40I invited Henry.
00:13:41He was kind of like, no, Henry can't come.
00:13:43I don't know if he was joking.
00:13:44I don't know.
00:13:45Anyway, and then eventually said yes to Henry coming,
00:13:48and there were six of us at the dinner,
00:13:50and it was very much like a friend catch-up.
00:13:52Although he was being very touchy-feely,
00:13:55Henry and I had had a conversation beforehand about the fact that he was
00:13:58likely to be like that and that, you know, it was fine.
00:14:01Like what wasn't going on with him wasn't anything like that.
00:14:04It's not a big deal.
00:14:05Plus I'd spend a bit of time with him in Cancun.
00:14:08I'd size him up pretty quick, and I'm like, for this dinner to go well
00:14:11with no problems, I know like what's going on.
00:14:14We knew what was going on.
00:14:16There was like never going to go anything that was going to happen
00:14:18past that dinner, and we're at a dinner table,
00:14:20so what can happen at a dinner table as well?
00:14:22So there was six of us, and then six of us went into an Uber,
00:14:24and then six of us went to a club, and then we left.
00:14:27So it's like the narrative was like, oh, my God, man,
00:14:30like after we went on a date, it's like.
00:14:32Yeah, so there was definitely some mayo put on it for sure.
00:14:36But like I just wanted to clear it up because Ryan
00:14:38and I don't have any bad blood.
00:14:39Like it wasn't.
00:14:40No, no, no.
00:14:41He actually gave me the heads up about the video and was like,
00:14:43I'm posting this video.
00:14:44I was like, ha-ha, that's really funny.
00:14:45Like post it.
00:14:46And then he posted it.
00:14:47He's like, what do you think?
00:14:48I'm like, yeah, hilarious, whatever.
00:14:49Like it was fine.
00:14:51Like I don't care.
00:14:52I understand that like he has to make these interesting reels
00:14:55and TikToks and stuff like that and put a bit of mayo.
00:14:57It doesn't bother me.
00:14:58I mean like I totally get it.
00:14:59That's part of it.
00:15:00But it was more so for me because it made me look stupid.
00:15:02Well, and in the end, once the Herald Sun released the article,
00:15:05it made me look.
00:15:06And I think people thought that what Ryan was saying was true.
00:15:09So there were people in the comment section saying like, oh no,
00:15:11you've really won and all this stuff.
00:15:13It's like I didn't want them to think that I'm like a shit person
00:15:16or anything like that.
00:15:17It wasn't like that at all.
00:15:18So I just wanted to clear that up.
00:15:22The other thing I wanted to talk about is I put up a TikTok,
00:15:25I guess, about the engagement, talking about it a little bit.
00:15:29And all these girls started commenting, being like, well,
00:15:32I saw Henry in January.
00:15:34And then another one would respond, I saw Henry in December
00:15:37or something like that.
00:15:38And I'm like, do you guys even watch the fucking video?
00:15:41Like have I not said that Henry and I have very open,
00:15:44clear communication?
00:15:45I know about the girls that he's seen in the past few months.
00:15:48I know about that.
00:15:51Like we only started dating whilst we were overseas.
00:15:55We were best mates up until that point.
00:15:57So when I was seeing X, Y and Z person, like I'd call my best mate back,
00:16:01hey, we're on a date with this person again.
00:16:03So everything that would happen normally in your life with a best mate
00:16:07and any dating as well, like in that space.
00:16:10Exactly.
00:16:11I know I can understand, again, how it all looks crazy.
00:16:14This is why I give a lot of people the benefit of the doubt
00:16:16and it doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
00:16:19But if you think about it, it's like, yeah,
00:16:21an engagement happens within four days of dating.
00:16:23It's like obviously for them, like their mind would race.
00:16:29They would start thinking, oh, well,
00:16:30they've actually been dating for longer and she mustn't have known
00:16:33and all this stuff.
00:16:34Yeah, I get it.
00:16:35I get it.
00:16:36And look, it sucks.
00:16:37And I'm sorry if it upset anyone because it would suck, I guess.
00:16:40Like the way that – because I don't look at Annie's content,
00:16:43I look at the comments.
00:16:44But the way that I felt bad when I read them.
00:16:46So it wasn't my intention and it wasn't – yeah, it's just – the whole thing's wild.
00:16:52Yeah, I just think, yeah, I understand where they're coming from.
00:16:54But at the same time, it's like I responded to one of them and was like,
00:16:57I know, we've only been together for like a week, like relax.
00:17:01Yeah, I know.
00:17:02And then they keep coming and they keep fighting and it's like,
00:17:04just let me have my happiness.
00:17:06Stop trying to steal this moment from me.
00:17:08But, again, I think it all just boils down to the spontaneity of it.
00:17:11And, you know, at that time I probably was still speaking to one of them.
00:17:15You know what I mean?
00:17:16I hadn't spoken since I'd been away.
00:17:17But, like, do you know what I mean?
00:17:19Yeah.
00:17:20So it's sort of like, yeah, it's all pretty wild.
00:17:23Yeah.
00:17:24So please stop commenting.
00:17:27Okay, so everyone's been asking about, like, details about the wedding.
00:17:31Obviously – what, it's only been two weeks since we got engaged?
00:17:35It feels like seven years.
00:17:36No, wait.
00:17:37Shaking.
00:17:38Shut up.
00:17:39Yeah, two weeks.
00:17:40A week and a bit, I think, actually.
00:17:41Yeah.
00:17:42I don't know.
00:17:43Anyway, so, yeah, but I'm a quick planner.
00:17:45So, like, day three I was like – my spreadsheet was out.
00:17:48I was doing my little Googling.
00:17:49It was crazy.
00:17:50Anyway, so we've picked a venue.
00:17:53Well, we haven't 100% locked it in yet.
00:17:55We've got to walk through tomorrow.
00:17:56Yeah, we've got to walk through tomorrow, talk to them.
00:17:58I'm, like, 99% sure that we're going to pick that venue.
00:18:02It's in Gold Coast and it's beautiful.
00:18:05Yep.
00:18:06And we – what else was I going to say?
00:18:09Engagement parties in Melbourne.
00:18:10Engagement parties in Melbourne.
00:18:11That's cool.
00:18:12That's next month.
00:18:13In, like, a month.
00:18:14Because that's where most of our friends are.
00:18:15I've got, like, the biggest soft spot for Melbourne.
00:18:16It's, you know, like, where all – well, I suppose 80% of our friends are as well.
00:18:20And there's just a lot of love down there.
00:18:22So we'll be down there next month.
00:18:24Yeah, where people are, like, is it going to be, like, a shotgun wedding if it's a shotgun engagement?
00:18:29It's, like, no.
00:18:30No way.
00:18:31We're getting married the second half of next year towards the end of the year.
00:18:33We just started dating, guys.
00:18:35Give us a second.
00:18:36Like, what the fuck?
00:18:37Shotgun engagement?
00:18:38Like, what more do you want from me?
00:18:39Like, one minute it's, like, how dare you do this?
00:18:40But it's, like, but is it going to be a shotgun wedding?
00:18:42It's, like, let me date this woman as an engaged partner for, like, a year.
00:18:46A year and a half?
00:18:47Yeah, a year and a half.
00:18:48And then I'll get married.
00:18:49Like, oh, my God.
00:18:50Yeah.
00:18:51It's fucking crazy.
00:18:52Yeah.
00:18:53But, yeah, and obviously in that time, in the next, like, well, you know, for however long I'm still working,
00:18:59and I'll still be traveling a little bit.
00:19:01Henry might-
00:19:02I'm still working too, guys.
00:19:03Yeah, he's got a job.
00:19:04I've got a job, everyone.
00:19:05FIFO.
00:19:06People are, like-
00:19:07In the desert.
00:19:08I was actually getting messages basically insinuating that you're retiring now and you're just going to be a stay-at-home dad.
00:19:12We'd love to.
00:19:13We'd love to.
00:19:14That's why I'm-
00:19:15No, I build highways in the desert, and I love it.
00:19:17So I'll be, it's flooded, the desert at the moment.
00:19:19Yeah, he will be home for the next, like, two months.
00:19:21Hopefully I will be at home for a bit, not because I want to be.
00:19:24It's because nature put it that way.
00:19:26But I do work away, and I'm going to continue to do that also.
00:19:30Yes.
00:19:31And FIFO is good with this whole situation because everything is so new,
00:19:35and it's a good opportunity to spend a bit of time away from each other.
00:19:38Yeah.
00:19:39And we spend a lot of time together, and when it is so new, when I've only just moved up here,
00:19:43and it's just good for the dynamic.
00:19:44That being said, I actually want to touch on this because I want to make this more normal.
00:19:48So Henry and I, like, love sleeping in our own beds.
00:19:51Yeah.
00:19:52So, like, we have separate rooms.
00:19:55Yep.
00:19:56Off the cuff.
00:19:57And it is so good.
00:19:59It is so good because I hate sleeping.
00:20:01Don't get me wrong.
00:20:02Like, every once in a while, like, we'll sleep in the same bed, and it's fine.
00:20:05It's great.
00:20:06We love it.
00:20:07But, like-
00:20:08Shut the fuck up.
00:20:09Nah, it's sick.
00:20:10Well, there's, like, a dog, and, like, Annie's got fucking earmuffs in,
00:20:13and then, like, the ocean is, like, in the room so loud.
00:20:16I have my white noises.
00:20:17I have my rain noises.
00:20:18You've got half the rain, half the ocean, a dog, and then Annie's, like, fucking-
00:20:22Oh, the whole thing's pretty wild, to be honest.
00:20:24Anyway-
00:20:25Sorry.
00:20:26But, hey, it's going to be the best ever person alive.
00:20:29We-
00:20:30Well, but, like, people always say, like,
00:20:32oh, if you start sleeping in separate rooms, like-
00:20:34That's the end.
00:20:35Yeah, it's like, well, what if we start by sleeping?
00:20:37Yeah, yeah, let's flip the script.
00:20:39But that's-
00:20:40Yeah, it's so cool.
00:20:41And Annie's routine-
00:20:42I think we might have spoken about this in the previous episode.
00:20:44Annie's routine is so different to mine.
00:20:46Because usually, let's say I am at work,
00:20:48and I've just come home for the week for, like, two weeks on, one week off.
00:20:51I appreciate getting up a bit slower throughout that week
00:20:53because I'm used to getting up at 4 a.m. or night shift or whatever.
00:20:56So Annie does her thing at 5, I'll get up at, like, 9, 10,
00:20:59and it just works better that way.
00:21:02And it's cool.
00:21:03Yeah.
00:21:04And it's nice to have-
00:21:05Absolutely, let's normalise it.
00:21:06Let's make a movement.
00:21:07Seriously.
00:21:08Like, it's-
00:21:09You get to have really good sleep without someone snoring right next to you all night.
00:21:11Correct.
00:21:12And I even said to Annie last night,
00:21:13I, like, popped into her room before she went to bed,
00:21:15I was like, do you ever feel like you don't know what to say to each other
00:21:17first thing in the morning?
00:21:18Like, I was like-
00:21:19He's so autistic.
00:21:21I had so much anxiety the next morning.
00:21:22I'm like, I hear Annie getting up, and I'm like-
00:21:24He always-
00:21:25So he always messages me, and he's like,
00:21:27so have you left the house yet?
00:21:29Because I don't want to start my shit until she's gone.
00:21:31He wants me out of the house so he can wake up, get around,
00:21:34and then when I get home, he'll greet me.
00:21:36He doesn't want me to be there.
00:21:37That's how much autism's in the house, A.
00:21:40And B, like, I really am not a morning person,
00:21:43and I don't want to get that shit to rub off on her shit.
00:21:45So I'm, like, in my room, like, on my phone,
00:21:47and I'm like, right, she's out there.
00:21:48I don't know if she's in the kitchen.
00:21:49She might be facing the fridge.
00:21:51So now is my time to go into the bathroom where she won't see me,
00:21:53and then when I get out, I'm going to be like-
00:21:55This is how much thought goes into it.
00:21:57I'll be like, hey, and then I'll come back out in my footy shorts.
00:22:00I don't get it.
00:22:02I don't get the morning thing.
00:22:04So imagine if we were in the same room.
00:22:06Fuck that.
00:22:07Yeah, no, so every time I have been in the same room as him,
00:22:10like, woken up with him,
00:22:11you can't talk to him for four hours.
00:22:13Like, confirmed, don't talk to him for four hours
00:22:15because he's going to give you nothing.
00:22:17But at least that's off the cuff.
00:22:18No, I know.
00:22:19These are the things where, like you say,
00:22:20if you start off in this honeymoon phase where you're all over each other,
00:22:24blah, blah, blah, and then it starts going like this,
00:22:26everyone wigs out, and then you just-
00:22:27Yeah.
00:22:28It's like if you start off, hey, this is the space that we've always-
00:22:30Always had.
00:22:31Like, ten years of it.
00:22:32And, you know, that's why it's my little mounted argument
00:22:35for this whole engagement.
00:22:36It's like the things that you find out in the first four years
00:22:39of a relationship we have been doing since day one.
00:22:42We know more about each other than we know about ourselves.
00:22:44So much of the shit is cut out already.
00:22:46That's why the decision was so easy.
00:22:48And, like, it's why the transition has been so smooth.
00:22:50I was about to say so smooth.
00:22:51It hasn't been entirely smooth, but, like, for us it has been.
00:22:53Yeah, for us.
00:22:54Like, it's business as usual.
00:22:55Like, we feel amazing because we're engaged,
00:22:56but, like, really there's no difference.
00:22:58And that solidifies the decision that I made to go down on one knee.
00:23:02It's like when you come home and it isn't so different,
00:23:05it's like perfect.
00:23:06Yeah, yeah.
00:23:07So, yeah.
00:23:08For sure.
00:23:09Now I want to get into our travels.
00:23:11Yes.
00:23:12Starting with the – well, actually, first of all,
00:23:14I'll talk about Dubai because I went to Dubai first without you.
00:23:16You did.
00:23:17Went over there, filmed for OFTV, which I think I spoke about
00:23:22on last week's episode because I was there with Mum that episode.
00:23:27But, yeah, so that was great.
00:23:29It was so much fun.
00:23:30I think the episode is almost completely done now,
00:23:32so I'm not sure when they're coming out,
00:23:33hopefully in the next month or two.
00:23:34Yeah.
00:23:35But, yeah, it was such a cool experience.
00:23:37The crew that we were working with, there was, I think,
00:23:40only four of them there and they were just, like,
00:23:43the nicest people ever, so down to earth, sorry,
00:23:46so easy to work with.
00:23:48And then, yeah, I left there after a week.
00:23:51Mum went back to Vietnam and then I went to Cancun
00:23:56and I had a 24-hour journey there.
00:23:58Yeah.
00:23:59And then I, yeah, met with Rach and Henry and they'd been –
00:24:03In transit ourselves for 18 hours or something?
00:24:06Something like that, yeah.
00:24:0716?
00:24:08Yeah.
00:24:0916 to LA, 4 to Cancun, so 20 all up.
00:24:11And the first night we were like,
00:24:15oh, we'll just have a few drinks at dinner.
00:24:18Dude, that Friday night fever shit, hey?
00:24:20Yeah, yeah.
00:24:21But I'm like, does that happen globally?
00:24:22Yes, it does.
00:24:23Yeah.
00:24:24Absolutely.
00:24:25Like 24 hours' worth of travel, we literally wanted to nap.
00:24:27We were so exhausted.
00:24:28I was like, I'm going to go to bed, obviously,
00:24:30and then we're like, well, let's go to dinner.
00:24:32You just find this, like, second wind or something.
00:24:35And then you get out there and you see the ocean and you're like,
00:24:37oh, my God, yeah.
00:24:385 a.m., 6 a.m. I think.
00:24:40Actually, all nighter, was it not?
00:24:42I can't remember.
00:24:43That's what it was with the naked photo on the balcony.
00:24:44It was all nighter.
00:24:45Yeah.
00:24:46Yeah, my ass was out at 7 a.m. from the night before.
00:24:50That's where we were at.
00:24:51But that's – I think that's a nice thing.
00:24:53Anyway.
00:24:54And then I slept for 24 hours, got up and then got into the content.
00:25:01So we met up with Bonnie that day.
00:25:02We went to the Grand Oasis, which was where, like, all the party stuff was.
00:25:06And she brought her, like, bodyguard slash videographer, Josh,
00:25:11and also another content creator called Kelly who helped her.
00:25:15I think she was there during her 1057 Man Challenge back in January.
00:25:21So Kelly was there with Bonnie.
00:25:22Anyway, lovely, lovely girl.
00:25:24And then, yeah, we filmed a bunch of content together.
00:25:27But most of the time, like, during the day we'd go out by the pools
00:25:29and stuff like that.
00:25:30And I remember we were in the room before we went out the first day,
00:25:33and Bonnie and I were like, fuck, like, what if no one knows who we are?
00:25:36This is going to be so embarrassing if, like, we walk –
00:25:38because we had all this idea of all the content we wanted to get.
00:25:41We're like, if no one knows who we are,
00:25:42then this is going to be so awkward and embarrassing
00:25:44and we're not going to get any content.
00:25:45Walk outside.
00:25:46I swear to God.
00:25:47Next minute, bang.
00:25:48Ten meters, completely surrounded by 300 college boys asking for photos
00:25:54and, like, pouring shots in our mouths and then us spitting shots
00:25:58into their mouths and all that kind of thing and asking for topless photos.
00:26:02Like, it was wild.
00:26:04But so much fun.
00:26:05And then, yeah, in the afternoons usually we'd go and film, you know, with people.
00:26:08It was actually a really good system because Rach was there
00:26:10and guys would come up and be like, can I film with you?
00:26:12And Rach would, like, take their details down and then would put them
00:26:14in a time slot and, yeah, it was all very, like, really organised.
00:26:19And then, yeah, we did that for basically –
00:26:21it would have been like four days, five days.
00:26:24And then –
00:26:25I loved it because I wasn't a part – I didn't go to any of those things,
00:26:28but I, like, would get the message from Annie at, like, two or three and be like,
00:26:31right, I need this ordered from room service, this, this, this,
00:26:34and I need a bottle of this, like, depending on how well the day went.
00:26:36And then when she came in I'd be half cut anyway.
00:26:38Like, I'd just be – like, in my undies all day sinking beers.
00:26:41And then they'd come back and be like, hey, here's your wrap that you wanted,
00:26:44like, or whatever.
00:26:45So it was really cool.
00:26:46Like, I didn't have to do any of the work so I feel a bit guilty about that.
00:26:49They came back pooped and I'm just like –
00:26:51Yeah, we were so exhausted.
00:26:52Right, like, Rach did such a good job as well.
00:26:54She basically videoed the whole day on my vlogging camera and then on my phone as well
00:27:00and then also had to, like, yeah, schedule in all these guys
00:27:03and do all the consent forms for OnlyFans and Fansly.
00:27:06Like, couldn't have done it without her.
00:27:08Shout out, Rach.
00:27:09Shout out to Rach.
00:27:10But, yeah, it was so much fun.
00:27:12We got so much good content.
00:27:13I actually think I'm going to start doing things like this more often.
00:27:17I really want to start, like, doing more international trips.
00:27:21I'm thinking of maybe doing, like, Ibiza, Ibiza, whatever you want to say it,
00:27:24in, like, July, August and Mykonos and, you know, all the party places.
00:27:29So, yeah, that's going to be fun.
00:27:32And the first thing I said when I got back is, like, I don't think I can do that again.
00:27:35Do you remember when I said that?
00:27:36You said that before we got back.
00:27:38Yeah, yeah.
00:27:39I was like, with the utmost respect, like, the hustle that Annie and Rach had was just crazy
00:27:45because, like, we're all drinking beer every night so I got to just do the lazy thing.
00:27:48Not every night.
00:27:50But during the day I could do the lazy thing but you guys would be on the grind.
00:27:53And I'm also not a seasoned traveller and I found out from this trip that I'm in my home body
00:27:59through and through.
00:28:00I was like, get me back to Australia.
00:28:03So, yeah, I certainly won't be going on those expeditions purely because it's just madness
00:28:06and I don't know how you do it.
00:28:07Yeah, I love it.
00:28:08I love the hustle.
00:28:09Oh, yeah.
00:28:10And then I fanboyed hard going to meet Bonnie Blue, right?
00:28:14This is the worst story ever.
00:28:15Oh, this is so funny.
00:28:16So I was like, dude, Bonnie Blue, you told the boys, I'm like, this chick's famous as,
00:28:22like, credit where credit's due, shagging a thousand blokes is insane.
00:28:25Like, fuck, my God.
00:28:27Anyway, get there and fold.
00:28:29He, like, fully choked it.
00:28:31Worst form of my life.
00:28:32I've never seen Henry choke ever.
00:28:34This man is the most, like, outgoing, extroverted guy and I watched it happen
00:28:38and I literally looked at him like, what the fuck just happened?
00:28:41Dude, one shot.
00:28:43The other thing is, Bonnie is, like, the most down-to-earth, normal, so funny, so lovely.
00:28:48And, like, I was like, I've been telling Henry all about her for so long and, like,
00:28:52just literally went, ugh.
00:28:54She had a beautiful, posh little accent.
00:28:57She's like, oh, you've been unwell for a couple of days.
00:28:59And I was like, uh-uh.
00:29:00Yeah.
00:29:01Yes, I guess.
00:29:03Like, not in, like, a cream your pants sort of way, but it's just like,
00:29:07I don't know what happened.
00:29:08Like, it's like you'd met a hero you didn't think was a hero, really.
00:29:11I was like, fucking hell.
00:29:12And then all of her mates were just being so normal.
00:29:14And I don't actually meet a lot of people from Annie's industry, to be fair.
00:29:17And, yeah, I just, I went to water.
00:29:20So, and then that happened the second time.
00:29:22And then he did, yeah.
00:29:24The second night.
00:29:25We went out to, like, Coco Bongo or something.
00:29:28Oh, I don't know.
00:29:29I can't remember.
00:29:30Anyway, no, we were at the day party and the same thing happened again
00:29:32where she was like, oh, you feeling better?
00:29:34And he's like, yeah.
00:29:35Yeah, sorry I had to go and drown in the ocean quickly.
00:29:39Like, it was so funny.
00:29:41I'm sorry.
00:29:42And Australia, I'm sorry.
00:29:43I know, like, I was representing Australia, meeting Bonnie Blue.
00:29:45Oh, my God, dude.
00:29:47I just struggled.
00:29:48So funny.
00:29:49I was like, oh, my God, Bonnie probably thinks I'm fucking crazy.
00:29:51Yeah.
00:29:52About having a friend who's.
00:29:53Yeah.
00:29:54And you probably mentioned me a few times too.
00:29:55Yeah, of course.
00:29:56And now I'm engaged to you.
00:29:57She's probably like, good luck with that shit.
00:29:59That guy sucked.
00:30:01Like, oh, God.
00:30:03Anyway, she's a very lovely girl though, Bonnie Blue.
00:30:06Just for those who want to know, beautiful girl.
00:30:08Yeah, we had such a great time as well.
00:30:10The team's great.
00:30:11Yeah, everyone.
00:30:12The parties we were involved with, yeah, cool chick.
00:30:14Yeah, yeah, very cool.
00:30:17Vegas, baby.
00:30:19I did it.
00:30:20And I did the most stereotypical bloke Australian thing you can do.
00:30:23I need to tell this story.
00:30:24Vegas, baby.
00:30:25Wait, can I tell the whole story?
00:30:27Yeah, you can.
00:30:29I went missing for a bit.
00:30:31No, you didn't.
00:30:32No.
00:30:33So Henry, mentally gone.
00:30:35Vegas swallowed me up.
00:30:36Let me tell you.
00:30:37Okay, get to Vegas.
00:30:38Henry's grumpy.
00:30:39I think we might have had a bit of a disagreement earlier in the day or
00:30:42something.
00:30:43Worked very, very hard.
00:30:44Even put my ego aside for a bit and admitted defeat over things that I
00:30:47still don't think that I was in the right for.
00:30:50It was about sleeping in a different bed initially.
00:30:52Yes, that's the crazy thing.
00:30:53He wanted to sleep in the bed with me.
00:30:55And I was like, no, because you keep me awake at night.
00:30:57And then he cracked the shits because I didn't want to sleep in a bed
00:31:00with him.
00:31:01It was the previous place I was in a trundle for the whole time.
00:31:03So I'm like, all right, I might want some king-size action in Vegas.
00:31:06Anyway, so that's how little and petty that's where we were at.
00:31:09So you start from there and then continue.
00:31:11Anyway, so then I almost cried.
00:31:13I was like, please come to dinner.
00:31:15It's our only night in Vegas.
00:31:16Like I want you to be there.
00:31:17Like did that old speech.
00:31:18Oh, because I was puppy-dogging the window looking around like I'm not
00:31:20coming.
00:31:21And he was like, no, like I've dug my heels in too much now and I can't
00:31:24come to dinner.
00:31:25I'm embarrassed.
00:31:26And, you know, when you go too far one way, you just can't.
00:31:28It's a bloke thing.
00:31:29I'm like, no, it just seems stupid now.
00:31:31Like if you really want me to go.
00:31:33And she's like, Henry, just fucking come on.
00:31:36And so anyway, so that, and then I was all excited because going to dinner
00:31:39went out to dinner and catch in, in one of the big casinos.
00:31:43Great place, by the way, we had an excellent dinner.
00:31:45Henry said it's the best.
00:31:46It was in something, wasn't it?
00:31:48One of the areas.
00:31:51Anyway, we, um, yeah, great dinner.
00:31:54Everything was all good.
00:31:55We're like, okay, let's go back to the room.
00:31:57We'll get changed into more comfy clothes and then go to the casino at our
00:32:00hotel, which was the Venetian.
00:32:01So did that, went out, started walking around the casino.
00:32:04And I think we might've just been like sitting at one of those.
00:32:07What's it called?
00:32:08What are the ones tables?
00:32:10We're all at tables.
00:32:11I was doing that for a while.
00:32:12I remember everything.
00:32:13No, you don't went to go get a drink.
00:32:16Oh, that's right.
00:32:17Got a drink, put it down on the pokies.
00:32:18And then we're like to Henry.
00:32:19Okay.
00:32:20We're going to go to the toilet really, really quickly.
00:32:22Stay here.
00:32:23He was on the pokey machine, right?
00:32:24He just put in $25.
00:32:26We had this like thing where we had like $600 altogether and we were going
00:32:29to do $200 each on things and try and anyway, it was like a little
00:32:32challenge for us.
00:32:34Anyway, we go to the toilet, five minutes, come back out.
00:32:37And I'm like, Henry, why is there $100 on this machine?
00:32:41You said you just put in $25.
00:32:42And he was like, oh, no.
00:32:43I can't even tell the story with a straight face.
00:32:47My friends, my friends, where did they go?
00:32:51Oh, no, no, no.
00:32:52There were guys here just before and they put it in.
00:32:54And I was like, Henry, we've been gone for five minutes.
00:32:56There's no one here.
00:32:57I'm like looking around.
00:32:58I'm like, what are you talking about?
00:33:00Anyway, at that point I was like, okay, it's fine.
00:33:02Like whatever.
00:33:03I don't even care.
00:33:04Rach was a little bit like, the fuck?
00:33:05And I was like, I don't know.
00:33:06It doesn't matter.
00:33:07Went back to the roulette table.
00:33:08The fuck?
00:33:09The fuck?
00:33:10Chilling there for a little bit, making, doing whatever we are,
00:33:13betting, whatever.
00:33:14Henry gets up and he's like, okay, I'm going to go get everyone a drink.
00:33:17What does everyone want?
00:33:18We're like, great.
00:33:19This is great.
00:33:20He's been good.
00:33:21He went off, came back, and he's like, guys,
00:33:23I just won $1,000 on the Pokeys machine.
00:33:26Sick.
00:33:27And I was like.
00:33:28It sounds like I'm a hero, by the way.
00:33:29Where's the shit part of this story?
00:33:30I'm a legend.
00:33:31Disappears, comes back with a grand.
00:33:34And drinks.
00:33:35No.
00:33:36So no drinks.
00:33:37He didn't have the drinks.
00:33:38He didn't get the drinks.
00:33:39That's the funniest bit about it.
00:33:40We were like, where's our drinks?
00:33:41He's like, but I just won $1,000.
00:33:43I'm like, give me the money and let me count it.
00:33:45Counted it, $300.
00:33:46Sick.
00:33:47So not only had he not won $1,000, he'd actually lost us $200.
00:33:51Yes.
00:33:52So I'm like, at this point I'm like, right, sit down.
00:33:54Like, shut up.
00:33:56Whatever.
00:33:57Anyway.
00:33:58So we got drinks and he's like, what did you say?
00:34:02You were like, where did all our friends go?
00:34:04And I was like, what friends?
00:34:06He's like, mate, are you seriously going to gaslight me right now?
00:34:10And like, oh, you know when you look in someone's eyes and you're like,
00:34:13they're not home.
00:34:14Like, the lights are on, but no one is home.
00:34:16Like, Henry was not present.
00:34:17Vegas had taken me at that point.
00:34:18And he kept like six times throughout the night he kept being like,
00:34:21we'd have the same discussion that went for five minutes,
00:34:23which he would start being like, you gaslighting me?
00:34:25No, Annie, we were with seven friends.
00:34:28Tell me their names.
00:34:29Like, I've got video footage of it that's so funny.
00:34:31I don't want to say it.
00:34:32I don't want to say it.
00:34:33Anyway, he did it six times and then I'd like convince him and he'd be like,
00:34:36huh, yeah, yeah, yeah, nah.
00:34:38And then he'd like kind of, he'd almost like act like he was just joking
00:34:41or something.
00:34:42But it kept happening throughout the night.
00:34:44And then it got to the point where we were leaving,
00:34:48on our way out, and he did it like the worst he'd done it since we got there,
00:34:51to the point where he was like trying to storm off and like run away back
00:34:55into the casino and was like fully like getting angry at me and stuff.
00:34:58And I was like, what is going on?
00:35:00Yeah.
00:35:01And then there's AFL footy on at the time and I was like,
00:35:03I'm going to go to a bar and watch that.
00:35:04And I remember bits and pieces.
00:35:06And then he came back the next day and he didn't remember.
00:35:08No, actually, you came, you went to sleep first.
00:35:11Then you came to, I told you the story about what happened
00:35:13and how crazy you were.
00:35:14You went back to sleep, woke up again, had to tell you it again
00:35:16because you didn't remember.
00:35:18That's when you went and watched the footy, came back, I was asleep.
00:35:20The next day I woke up and you're like, yeah,
00:35:22I want to watch the footy with like a bunch of my friends.
00:35:24Those mates.
00:35:25I was like, there were no friends.
00:35:27Look, there is footage of the discussions we've had,
00:35:30but there is no evidence of whether or not there were friends
00:35:33or if there weren't.
00:35:34Okay.
00:35:35I went away and you never saw me with people or without people.
00:35:38No, Henry, you never left us.
00:35:39You never left us.
00:35:40There was five minutes unaccounted for and that was when we went to the toilet.
00:35:43I want to see the footage.
00:35:44I want to see the casino.
00:35:45And then I refused because he kept trying to run away as well.
00:35:47Like we'd be standing at the bar and all of a sudden Henry would just get up
00:35:49and walk away.
00:35:50He'd be halfway down the casino and Rachel would be like, holy shit,
00:35:52that's Henry.
00:35:53And I'd be like, go chase him.
00:35:54Like go get him.
00:35:55Yeah.
00:35:56Because obviously Vegas for a 28 year old man from Australia is a playground.
00:36:00So I obviously was just like, you know, everything about it.
00:36:02It had like vaping inside, like all of it.
00:36:04Yeah.
00:36:05You could vape and stomach inside.
00:36:06It was crazy.
00:36:07Anyway, it was very fun.
00:36:08Like it wasn't funny at the time.
00:36:09I think I cried because I was so scared.
00:36:10I was like, he's having an aneurysm or a stroke or something.
00:36:12Yeah.
00:36:13But then it was funny after.
00:36:14Yeah.
00:36:15Wouldn't go back though.
00:36:16Like actually.
00:36:17Cause you don't remember it.
00:36:18No, I do.
00:36:19I do.
00:36:21It's like, I think it's one of those things where you go for the nostalgia of it.
00:36:24It's like a bit like Vegas, but like really it's a lot.
00:36:26Rachel and I went for a walk, which we love to keep saying this.
00:36:30We had our best time in Vegas was when Rachel and I went for a walk without Henry
00:36:33during the day and went and saw all the sites and all that kind of thing.
00:36:36Yep.
00:36:37But again, like probably.
00:36:38I was with my mates at the casino still.
00:36:42Same as Henry though.
00:36:43Probably wouldn't go back.
00:36:44Like really there's all you can do is be at the casino.
00:36:46That's right.
00:36:47Cause my Australian listeners and it's like crown casino in Melbourne.
00:36:51I'm like, how often do you go there a year, maybe once or twice.
00:36:53And how often do you stay there?
00:36:54So it's like that, but that's what everything is in a casino.
00:36:57So it's like, if you're into that sort of thing, which yeah, like if you,
00:37:00and I do, I will say that if it was a boy's trip, I think it'd be different.
00:37:03Yeah.
00:37:04Obviously going to Vegas with two chicks sucks.
00:37:06Don't even, don't even.
00:37:07Well, actually you were the, you were the party.
00:37:09Rachel and I wanted to go out and then I got cut short cause I had to look after this idiot.
00:37:14I do apologise.
00:37:15I just, it was my worst efforts in Vegas, but wouldn't go back.
00:37:19Yeah, no.
00:37:20With two chicks.
00:37:23Kidding.
00:37:24Anyway, what's next?
00:37:25LA?
00:37:26Marriage?
00:37:27Ring?
00:37:28Moving on.
00:37:29Anyway, get to LA.
00:37:31I'm sick at this point, by the way.
00:37:33I got sick and I was like having issues actually just touching on this.
00:37:38Like randomly, I think I got my period like three times while we were away.
00:37:41It was really weird.
00:37:42Don't know what's going on there.
00:37:43I'm looking into it.
00:37:44But like, so I was in, I was in a bad way.
00:37:46Like endometriosis pain, had a cold, arrived in LA.
00:37:50Thank God we had a day to chill.
00:37:52And then another day to sort of wander around.
00:37:54LA Marathon was on so we couldn't get to our Airbnb.
00:37:56Oh my God.
00:37:57We had to walk through 2,000 suitcases up hill with this big, I was behind her laughing my ass off.
00:38:02No, that's, this is a good story.
00:38:04No, it's not.
00:38:05Makes me look bad.
00:38:06Can we tell a story that doesn't look good?
00:38:08So many bad stories about being on stage.
00:38:10We arrived in LA and I had no idea it was the LA Marathon.
00:38:12Arrived at like 6 a.m.
00:38:13Had to use like a day stay hotel during the day because our hotel wasn't ready.
00:38:17Believe it or not, that day stay hotel was within like a four kilometer radius where all rows were closed.
00:38:25So we couldn't get an Uber there.
00:38:27We had to walk our suitcases like two kilometers.
00:38:29I had two suitcases and a big like carry on 20 kilogram bag.
00:38:33Henry had one like 20 kilogram suitcase.
00:38:35He's like 50 meters ahead of me, just like going on about his day.
00:38:39And I'm pushing 80 or 100 kilograms worth of shit up a hill.
00:38:44And I'm like at this point raging and rage keeps trying to make subtle hints.
00:38:48Like, you know, it would be so good if I had a boyfriend here in LA to help me with this.
00:38:52We weren't actually boyfriends at this stage.
00:38:54No, we weren't.
00:38:55But if we were dating, I would have.
00:38:57But we were mates at that point.
00:38:59So, fuck.
00:39:00Also, yeah, I don't know.
00:39:01Henry was in like a bit of a shit mood that day.
00:39:03Again, not a seasoned traveler.
00:39:05I'm starting to feel it at this point.
00:39:07Anyway, so, yeah.
00:39:08But that was a big ordeal.
00:39:10No, the best thing about it is we went past cops and the cops said to me,
00:39:13Hey, son, you want to maybe get that girl's bag?
00:39:16I'm like, no.
00:39:17Like, what?
00:39:18He's like, yeah, I look like a pussy with my little bag.
00:39:21And he's literally had like.
00:39:23He's like, hey, you should help her with her bag.
00:39:25And I was like.
00:39:26And he just looked at him like.
00:39:27No way.
00:39:28I was loving it.
00:39:29And at that point, going back to that whole like when you stood your ground.
00:39:32Yeah.
00:39:33I'm like, now I'm just going to have to go back and watch her and laugh
00:39:36or go in front and laugh.
00:39:37How's this though?
00:39:38So we get to this cafe, which is like halfway.
00:39:40And I'm like, okay, Annie, calm down.
00:39:42Just ask him what he wants for breakfast and like just don't make a big deal
00:39:46out of it.
00:39:47I'm like, what do you want for breakfast?
00:39:48And you're like, yeah, I'll have the eggs and the coffee.
00:39:50Yeah.
00:39:51Push the menu down.
00:39:52I go and pay for everything.
00:39:53Come back.
00:39:54No, thank you.
00:39:55Look, okay.
00:39:57I am probably not the best person to go overseas with is the conclusion.
00:40:01Unless you want to get sporadically engaged.
00:40:04There's like steam coming out of my ears.
00:40:06I'm sitting at breakfast, like staring at him.
00:40:09Cut a long story short with how bad I've been overseas.
00:40:12There was a point where we had a dinner.
00:40:14We're like, okay, we've been spiraling for a couple of days now.
00:40:16Let's have a dinner and a chat.
00:40:18And that's when we started dating.
00:40:19So like for all the folks out there that's thinking about a best friend
00:40:24and turning it into like a potential wife, like be in a downward spiral,
00:40:28hit rock bottom, go out to a dinner, ask her to date,
00:40:32and then ask her to marry you two days later.
00:40:34And then everything will be fine.
00:40:35To be fair, at that dinner we were asking for the best holiday she's ever had.
00:40:38When he asked to date me, I was like, after how you've reacted.
00:40:42But we had a huge conversation which lasted like 10 hours
00:40:45or something talking about it.
00:40:47And I think in the middle of that dinner you were yelling at me about something.
00:40:50I think I just grabbed your face and kissed you at one point,
00:40:52like over the dessert.
00:40:53And then you're like, okay.
00:40:55Another little trick, like if they're shouting, just kiss them.
00:40:59Those are such bad pieces of advice.
00:41:01Oh, no, sorry.
00:41:02Anyway, Wednesday.
00:41:04I just think you're going to laugh at someone like that.
00:41:07Who's the real idiot here?
00:41:09She is.
00:41:11You could have said no.
00:41:12I'm kidding, I'm kidding, I'm kidding.
00:41:14Anyway, four days into the trip I have Plug Talk,
00:41:17which is this massive U.S.-only fans podcast hosted by Adam22
00:41:21and Lena the Plug.
00:41:23And they're married and, yeah, basically they have guests on.
00:41:26And they talk to them for 20 minutes and then film a scene together
00:41:30for our only fans.
00:41:31So did that, was so excited for that for so long.
00:41:33But that day I woke up and I was in so much pain,
00:41:37like the worst pain of the trip.
00:41:38I think I took three codeines that day and I still was in, like, agony.
00:41:43Filmed the scene, powered through, still obviously had a great time.
00:41:47And then that night we went to dinner in the Hollywood Hills.
00:41:50We went to Yamashiro.
00:41:52Which was sick.
00:41:53It was really cool.
00:41:54Sick view.
00:41:55Everywhere we went was crazy, I thought.
00:41:58It was good because we went to really expensive, fancy places.
00:42:00A lot of Japanese though.
00:42:01Yeah.
00:42:02So much Japanese.
00:42:04Too much Japanese.
00:42:05Right?
00:42:06It was a lot of Japanese.
00:42:07Yeah, okay, thanks.
00:42:08But I would say, like, generally speaking,
00:42:09the food that I've had in L.A. in the past hasn't been good.
00:42:11So just because we went to nice places.
00:42:14Where did you go with your mum?
00:42:15Shitty places?
00:42:16With your friends?
00:42:17No, we went to Spargo with mum.
00:42:19Yeah, yeah, cool.
00:42:20But, yeah.
00:42:21And then what else did we do?
00:42:22Comedy store, dude.
00:42:23Oh, yeah.
00:42:24So we went to Universal.
00:42:25And then the comedy store.
00:42:27Bobby Lee.
00:42:29Bobby Lee.
00:42:30He was really, really funny.
00:42:31I'm not kidding.
00:42:32That was, like, the apex of my entire life.
00:42:34There were, like, ten or twelve of them.
00:42:36Yeah, like, the big six regulars were all there.
00:42:39Yeah.
00:42:40I forget some of their names, but they were all there.
00:42:42They were all so funny.
00:42:43There was one old guy that was not so funny.
00:42:45He closed.
00:42:46But, yeah, like, I shit you not.
00:42:47It's one of those things.
00:42:48And I'd actually never been to a comedy show before.
00:42:50And I listened to Bobby Lee and Andrew Santino every week.
00:42:53And there was so much anticipation and I was worried that, like,
00:42:56it was expensive-ish and I was sort of, like,
00:42:58worried that you guys wouldn't enjoy it.
00:43:00But from the moment I sat down, I was pissing myself for four hours.
00:43:04It didn't stop.
00:43:05The acts themselves were really funny,
00:43:07but I think Henry's laughing was the funniest thing of all.
00:43:09Dude, it was.
00:43:10He just, like, ha, ha, ha.
00:43:12It was just, like, honestly, one thing you've got to do is go to the comedy store.
00:43:16If I lived there, I'd go weekly.
00:43:18You were doing your minion laugh.
00:43:19Yeah.
00:43:20But, no, Bobby Lee was incredible.
00:43:22We got somebody to touch his pubes, which was the funniest.
00:43:25The funny thing is there were actually two OnlyFans girls front row
00:43:28and they kept sort of getting picked on.
00:43:30Henry was like, no, he was like, they copped it.
00:43:32I'm like, I would fucking love that.
00:43:33That was funny as fuck.
00:43:34Like, I wish I'd been at the front.
00:43:35But, like, from a boy's perspective in the crowd, they copped it.
00:43:38They did it though.
00:43:39Can you imagine a comedian, well, just, like, sex jokes and stuff
00:43:41and, like, teased out.
00:43:42Yeah, it was hilarious.
00:43:43It was funny, but, like, they copped it.
00:43:45Yeah, in the best way.
00:43:46Yeah, well, it depends how you look at it.
00:43:48They're OnlyFans girls.
00:43:49We'll talk about this later.
00:43:50We'll talk about this later, okay?
00:43:52First fight on camera.
00:43:53But, no, best experience of my life.
00:43:55Thank you so much for taking me.
00:43:56It was the best.
00:43:57We went to Universal during the day that day.
00:43:59Had a great time.
00:44:00Went and saw Harry Potter World.
00:44:01Henry got a Voldemort wand, which he threw the case out.
00:44:04I'm still mad at you about that.
00:44:05It comes in, like, a case, so now it's not a collectible item.
00:44:08It's just a stick.
00:44:09Well, I've got two other ones, which I'm thinking about putting in a front row.
00:44:11No, you've got one other one because one of them's mine.
00:44:13Well, what's yours is mine and ours.
00:44:15What the fuck happened to that?
00:44:18Now we're separating wands.
00:44:20You think, you know.
00:44:21When that starts happening, that's when.
00:44:23We're separating the wands.
00:44:24You think you know a guy.
00:44:25Like, when we get a divorce, when and if, no, I'm joking.
00:44:27It's like, who keeps the wands at this point?
00:44:29Anyway, so I got a Voldemort wand just because it looked coolest.
00:44:32Some of them sort of morphed into one, but we went full autism mode at Harry Potter.
00:44:36We did.
00:44:37Like, butterbeer, fucking just everything.
00:44:39Went into the, yeah, Zonko's joke shop.
00:44:41Went on all the rides.
00:44:42It was unreal.
00:44:43It was really cool.
00:44:44Yep.
00:44:45And then, oh, then we went out for dinner with Ryan, so we had that day.
00:44:49And then Sunday was the engagement.
00:44:52Yeah.
00:44:53We had the engagement.
00:44:54That was all great.
00:44:55And then we had all these plans for the last, like, four days of our trip,
00:44:58which I was so looking forward to.
00:44:59We were going to go have this sunset dinner at Nobu.
00:45:01We had this day planned in Santa Monica, and I think we had Disneyland as well.
00:45:06But we woke up the day after the engagement, and I was still sick.
00:45:10Like, I had a cold, but Rach and Henry were, like, deathly ill.
00:45:14Like, couldn't speak.
00:45:16Like, I've never seen anything like it.
00:45:19So, unfortunately, for, like, the last four days of our trip,
00:45:21they were really sick.
00:45:23But Rach sort of, Rach, pulled her shit together and went to Disneyland.
00:45:29We hired a car as well, and I drove on the other side of the road
00:45:31all the way to Disneyland, which was, like, an hour.
00:45:33So I was pretty impressed with myself.
00:45:35But, yeah, so Henry basically was just in bed for the last four days.
00:45:38I know, I know.
00:45:39You get engaged to someone, then you get deathly ill.
00:45:41I know.
00:45:42Well, take that as a sign.
00:45:43Yeah, I know.
00:45:44But, no, it was, I think we still managed to have a bit of fun
00:45:46those last four days.
00:45:47And, like, getting a car and driving on the other side of the road
00:45:49was nostalgic.
00:45:50It was really cool.
00:45:51Like, yeah, and we had this great Airbnb in L.A.
00:45:54that was, like, a three-bedroom, three-bathroom house or townhouse
00:45:58in West Hollywood.
00:45:59It was perfect.
00:46:00I actually miss it so much.
00:46:01Yeah, and we cooked meals there and stuff.
00:46:03We cooked, like, two meals.
00:46:04Still, but, like, it was, yeah, it was like home.
00:46:06It was like home, yeah.
00:46:07It's what it would feel like to have a share house in L.A.
00:46:09Yeah, it was very cool.
00:46:12But, yeah, Disneyland was really, really cool.
00:46:14I wish Henry could have made it.
00:46:15But I will say once you go to Disney World in Florida
00:46:19and Universal in Florida, when you go to the ones in L.A.,
00:46:22biggest, biggest disappointment ever.
00:46:24I was so upset.
00:46:26I forgot how shit the Disneyland in L.A. was.
00:46:28And I had never been to Universal L.A. before.
00:46:31And I was, like, where are all the roller coasters?
00:46:33There's none.
00:46:34There's none.
00:46:35Yeah.
00:46:36It was still good, though.
00:46:37It was still fun.
00:46:38But, yeah.
00:46:39For someone that hasn't done that.
00:46:40Don't go to the ones in L.A.
00:46:41And then flew back.
00:46:42Yeah.
00:46:43Well, let's talk about our whirlwind, our wild trip back.
00:46:48So.
00:46:49I didn't get that pissed.
00:46:51Okay.
00:46:52So, wait, this is so funny.
00:46:53So, we have a flight from L.A. to Auckland, Auckland to L.A.,
00:46:58Auckland to Gold Coast, sorry.
00:47:00And we're on the first flight.
00:47:01And Henry and I realized we didn't have any sleeping tablets.
00:47:03So, we're like, shit, we're just going to have to have, like,
00:47:05a few reds beforehand in the lounge or whatever and on the plane.
00:47:08Get a little bit tipsy, fall asleep.
00:47:09So, we did that.
00:47:10Get on the plane.
00:47:11Probably have, like, four glasses of red in the first, like, two hours.
00:47:15You're telling the story?
00:47:16Yeah, I am telling the story.
00:47:17That doesn't look like I remember.
00:47:19I wasn't that pissed, though.
00:47:20But I don't remember a thing.
00:47:22Actually, I don't remember shit.
00:47:24No.
00:47:25I don't remember a goddamn thing from that flight.
00:47:27Can I tell you something so funny?
00:47:28You told me the nicest things you've ever said to me your whole life in
00:47:32that flight.
00:47:34You said the nicest and now you're telling me?
00:47:37Stage exit.
00:47:38Where the fuck is it?
00:47:40Yeah, I remember those.
00:47:41I'm just saying like the whole, like.
00:47:42Oh, dude.
00:47:43Yeah, duh.
00:47:44Dude, this is, I might get slammed in this podcast.
00:47:47This is insane.
00:47:48Anyway, I'm on my period.
00:47:49Fair enough.
00:47:50Fair enough.
00:47:51No, so, yeah.
00:47:52Then the air hostess, I go to the toilet.
00:47:54The air hostess taps me on the shoulder and she goes,
00:47:56just so you know, we're not serving him any more alcohol.
00:47:59And I was like, that's okay because, like,
00:48:01we're not drinking anymore anyway.
00:48:02Like, we're about to go to sleep.
00:48:03And she's like, okay.
00:48:04And then, like, we're lying down.
00:48:06We're just chatting.
00:48:07Like, we're on this sky couch thing.
00:48:08So, we've got a whole row to ourselves.
00:48:09Just chatting.
00:48:10And then we had like six different air hostesses come over and be like,
00:48:13excuse me, we've had people complain.
00:48:15Can you please keep your voice down, sir?
00:48:16Yeah, and Karen's around us everywhere.
00:48:17It sucked.
00:48:18Yeah, so, like, yes, he was talking a little bit loudly.
00:48:20But, like, he didn't seem pissed at all.
00:48:22He wasn't doing anything.
00:48:23So, anyway, we land in Auckland.
00:48:25We're there for like an hour.
00:48:26We go to board the next flight.
00:48:28And because I booked my ticket separate to Rach and Henry's,
00:48:30I go through them all good.
00:48:32They got to go through big red screen.
00:48:34Can't get on the plane.
00:48:35Like, what's going on?
00:48:36They don't tell us anything for like 10 minutes.
00:48:38The plane's closing in like five minutes.
00:48:40Three Asian guys were running that.
00:48:42I mean, that's fine.
00:48:43But, like, did you find that interesting?
00:48:45We're in Auckland about to get from a flight.
00:48:47It was.
00:48:48And there was three Chinese guys that had very strong Chinese accents.
00:48:51And business suits.
00:48:53They had, like, business suits on.
00:48:54I was like, is this, what's going on?
00:48:56Anyway, they didn't tell us anything for ages.
00:48:58And then eventually they're like, right, so,
00:49:00we've been notified that you were very intoxicated on the last flight.
00:49:04Language barrier there, I think.
00:49:05So, I'm like, sorry?
00:49:06Yeah.
00:49:07Anyway, and they're like, so,
00:49:08we're going to have to ask the new air hostesses if it's okay
00:49:11if you board the flight.
00:49:12Who, thank God, was the most flamboyantly beautiful man ever.
00:49:15Yeah.
00:49:16So, anyway, he left.
00:49:17And I'm thinking, fuck, I'm literally leaving this guy here
00:49:19if he doesn't get on the plane.
00:49:21Anyway, they come back and they're like, yep, all good.
00:49:23You can come on.
00:49:24We board the plane.
00:49:25And then straight away they bring us, like, three cups of water.
00:49:27Keep in mind, it had been 12 hours since we'd had a drink at this point.
00:49:30Like, our flight was eight.
00:49:32Like, it was so long.
00:49:34And then they're like, we'll have a chat to you in a second, sir.
00:49:37Yeah.
00:49:38And, like, give him, like, a blanket and stuff and act like he's, like,
00:49:40this absolute.
00:49:41Dude, he was fucked.
00:49:42I'm like, to be fair, you just said, like, five minutes ago
00:49:44you didn't remember this.
00:49:45Yeah.
00:49:46But, like, I'm not a nasty drunk.
00:49:47You know what I mean?
00:49:48He wasn't doing anything.
00:49:49I was so, I mean, I wasn't so, I remember it all.
00:49:51I'm not, like, going to be abusive to anyone ever.
00:49:53No, he never, all he was doing was talking too loudly.
00:49:56Yeah.
00:49:57And every time I'd tell him, like, keep your voice down,
00:49:58keep your voice down, whatever.
00:49:59But, like, he didn't do anything bad at all.
00:50:01I actually felt really embarrassed.
00:50:02I'm like, really?
00:50:03And, again, 12 hours I hadn't had a drink.
00:50:05I'm like, oh, I'm so sorry.
00:50:07And, obviously, if it didn't work out, I would have been really sad.
00:50:09It's an expensive flight and thank God we got on it.
00:50:12But, yeah, waters, blanket and felt like a two-year-old.
00:50:15So, fuck.
00:50:17Anyway, then we land in Gold Coast.
00:50:20So good to travel with.
00:50:21Hey.
00:50:22Fuck.
00:50:23Never happening again.
00:50:24Never again.
00:50:25Anyway, then we arrive in Gold Coast and we go through, like,
00:50:28the little passport scanner.
00:50:29My passport doesn't work so I have to go through the separate thing.
00:50:32Henry's the first one through.
00:50:33Lady points at him, like, pulls him aside, starts talking to him,
00:50:36like, for, like, grilling him for, like, five minutes,
00:50:39which was, like, really intense.
00:50:40Which was a recurring theme throughout the whole trip, by the way.
00:50:42Every country I got into, I was that guy.
00:50:45And I nearly didn't get into LA from Australia.
00:50:48Yeah.
00:50:49Because he was like, how much money have you got in your account?
00:50:51Like, all these questions.
00:50:52And he had all the itinerary.
00:50:53He wanted to know where I was staying.
00:50:55He's like, I've got no idea.
00:50:56I was like, I would have looked like a criminal.
00:50:59I'm meant to be here.
00:51:00There's a friend.
00:51:01And he was like, okay, man, like, just next time.
00:51:04Have some idea of what you're doing in this country.
00:51:07But then I was like, I'm actually, I'm not coming in to this country.
00:51:10I'm actually going to Cancun right now.
00:51:12And then he's like, oh, why didn't you start with that?
00:51:14I'm like, the fuck?
00:51:15Like, you've got all my paperwork there.
00:51:17Whose fault?
00:51:18Anyway.
00:51:19So, yeah, so that happens.
00:51:20And then I'm like, what was she talking about?
00:51:22He's like, oh, he was just grilling me, like, for five minutes.
00:51:24I'm like, okay, whatever.
00:51:25Go through to get our bags.
00:51:27I'm like, at this point, because the media had been, like, crazy.
00:51:30I was really scared about paparazzi being there when we walked out.
00:51:32And I looked like shit.
00:51:33So, I was, like, putting my cap on.
00:51:34I was looking at myself in my, like, little camera.
00:51:36And then one of the border people come over to me.
00:51:38And she's like, did you just take a photo?
00:51:40And I was like, a photo?
00:51:41What the fuck are you talking about?
00:51:42And she's like, oh, you had your phone out like you're taking a photo.
00:51:45And I was like, oh, I was just checking to see what my hair looked like.
00:51:47And then she's like, just so you know, like, you can't do that here.
00:51:50I'm like, okay, sorry for breathing.
00:51:52And then we got to go through, what's it called?
00:51:55Like, quarantine?
00:51:56It was like three different stages to get into the country.
00:51:58Yeah.
00:51:59So, then, like, the last bit before you're like, okay, you're gone now.
00:52:02You're through.
00:52:03They pulled us aside and, like, into a separate room and were, like,
00:52:08grilling us and asking us about my ring and, like, how much was it
00:52:12and, like, all this stuff.
00:52:14And, like, went through our bags.
00:52:16And we were there for, like, two hours in that room.
00:52:18It just never happened to me before.
00:52:20It's never, ever, ever, ever happened to me before.
00:52:22I'd spoken to mum and she was like, that's the most wild story I've ever heard.
00:52:25I'd never heard of that happening to me.
00:52:26So, yeah.
00:52:27It was just a pretty crazy experience.
00:52:28We looked like the most, like, normal, like, three Australians arriving.
00:52:32And to be fair, like, not to be rude or anything,
00:52:34but they usually do let, like, Aussies through.
00:52:37Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:52:38It was actually pretty wild, to be honest.
00:52:39I was really taken aback.
00:52:40And we were there for, like, an hour and a half
00:52:42and a lot of pressing questions.
00:52:43They need to do that, I guess.
00:52:44Yeah.
00:52:45So, there's no qualms there.
00:52:46Good on you, Border Patrol Australia.
00:52:48But it was just a lot.
00:52:49And, obviously, 20 hours of travel would just get us high.
00:52:52I was meant to go to Melbourne four hours later,
00:52:54cancelled that flight, thank God.
00:52:55We went to doctors and got amoxicillin and shit.
00:52:59And I feel good.
00:53:00Yeah.
00:53:01You don't.
00:53:02Sucked in.
00:53:03Yeah.
00:53:04Well, I've got my period again, so.
00:53:05But, yeah, just crazy.
00:53:07Anyway, yeah.
00:53:08So, that was a wild trip.
00:53:09Oh, and then we arrive home and Rach is quickly getting ready
00:53:14for a wedding that she's got.
00:53:15And I'm opening my wardrobe and realise that my rail has fallen down
00:53:19from, like, the weight of my clothes.
00:53:21So, I went to pick it up and sliced my finger open.
00:53:23Was bleeding for, like, an hour and then two days later it got infected.
00:53:27So, then I was dealing with that.
00:53:28I was like, can I just stop?
00:53:30And then there was a cleaner at our house when we arrived
00:53:32because the insurance company had sent, like, a cleaner out.
00:53:34Which, update, house is all good now.
00:53:36They've fixed everything.
00:53:37The paint had just finished today and it's looking good as new.
00:53:40Yeah.
00:53:41So, that's one positive.
00:53:42Yeah, honestly, the positives only have just started to stack up.
00:53:45Like, there was a rough run there.
00:53:46It was.
00:53:47From the moment we left USA and then come back on the flight
00:53:51and, like, the border patrol thing, the media, the, yeah,
00:53:55it was just a real rough week.
00:53:57Unfortunately, in a time that's meant to be, like,
00:53:59what I suppose is the honeymoon phase of the engagement period.
00:54:01Yes.
00:54:02And so, got the wind out of our sails but we're.
00:54:04We had that nice flight that you don't remember
00:54:06where you said really fast.
00:54:07I remember everything.
00:54:09Dude, at least you know.
00:54:10What did I say?
00:54:11This is the funny thing with chicks, right?
00:54:13So, when you're on the piece.
00:54:14I like how you're looking at me.
00:54:15Yeah, well, there's only one other guy here.
00:54:16So, it's like the truth comes out when you're drunk
00:54:19if you say something bad, right?
00:54:20They're like, do you remember what you said last night?
00:54:22But if you say something good, they're like, you were drunk.
00:54:25And it doesn't mean shit.
00:54:26It's like.
00:54:27Hang on.
00:54:28I never said it didn't mean shit.
00:54:29I can stand if you do.
00:54:30I do.
00:54:31I believe.
00:54:32I believe everything you said.
00:54:33I just was like, oh, it sucks.
00:54:34Drunk Henry, legend, obviously.
00:54:36Sober Henry, doesn't want to sleep in the same bed as you.
00:54:39You're like.
00:54:40I can be lightly buzzed.
00:54:41I don't want you in my bed anyway.
00:54:43I can be lightly pissed for the rest of my life.
00:54:45If that's.
00:54:46If you give me the green light for that, I can do that for you.
00:54:49It'd be sick.
00:54:50But anyway, yeah, it was a saga.
00:54:52It was sick.
00:54:53Obviously, engaged to be wed.
00:54:56So, unreal.
00:54:57So, statute.
00:54:58So, every bad thing that happened, it was undone.
00:55:01Yeah, no.
00:55:02No, that's not.
00:55:03That's not true.
00:55:04There were many conversations we had and many.
00:55:06And this is like 10 years in the making.
00:55:08This didn't just happen.
00:55:09Oh, sorry.
00:55:10No, I'm saying all my bad actions are undone because I gave you.
00:55:12No, that's not.
00:55:13We spoke about them separately.
00:55:15Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:55:16I want to give anyone any ideas.
00:55:18No, it was beautiful.
00:55:19And thank you for the trip.
00:55:21It was all on Andy.
00:55:22So, it was a beautiful time.
00:55:24I did just want to end on a few questions we have from our followers and my followers.
00:55:28Okay.
00:55:29So, the first one is, do you see yourself living in GC or Melb?
00:55:33Gold Coast.
00:55:34Yeah, Gold Coast.
00:55:35In a perfect world, if we won Lotto, or we both worked a bit harder.
00:55:40Speak for yourself.
00:55:42Dude, there's a fucking flood in the middle of the desert.
00:55:45I can't help that.
00:55:47I would love to have an apartment in Melbourne one day just because we go there a lot.
00:55:50The thing is about Melbourne is I've always wanted to have like a property there that I could go to,
00:55:54but the land tax there.
00:55:55Ridiculous.
00:55:56Yeah, it's insane.
00:55:57But so, yeah, but in a perfect world, yes, but no, Goldies, we're out.
00:56:00Yeah.
00:56:01Twins.
00:56:02Were you surprised or no the engagement was on the cards?
00:56:05So, obviously knew it was on the cards because he told me a couple nights beforehand that he was thinking about it,
00:56:10but that it was going to be after Vietnam in May.
00:56:13So, I wasn't expecting it that night.
00:56:15So, I was very surprised.
00:56:18Did Henry have it in mind that he was going to propose overseas or did it just feel right?
00:56:22I feel like he kind of answered that.
00:56:23Felt right.
00:56:24Yeah.
00:56:26I mean, like, and what happened to that narrative?
00:56:28It's like people have forgotten about that too.
00:56:29Forgotten what?
00:56:30Well, it's like there's movies about this.
00:56:33Like when you know you know.
00:56:35Yeah.
00:56:36It's funny, yeah.
00:56:37That's a beautiful love story back in the day.
00:56:39And now it's like if you're not a childhood sweetheart from fucking school all the way through
00:56:44if it's not generic, it's not a real thing.
00:56:46Yeah, it is weird.
00:56:47Gone are the days of spontaneity, I say.
00:56:49Like, fuck.
00:56:50And it's like we got married right then and there.
00:56:52Just so you know, so it's normal.
00:56:54So, everyone's okay with it.
00:56:55Like, hey, it's been long enough now.
00:56:57We'll get married again.
00:56:58We'll have two weddings for you guys.
00:57:00Fuck.
00:57:01Was Karen in on it and how did Henry ask Rachel for help with the ring slash secret?
00:57:09Karen had no idea.
00:57:10Yeah.
00:57:11Karen being Annie's mother.
00:57:13Annie being me, the mother's cat.
00:57:14What's that fucking thing?
00:57:15Mother cat.
00:57:16Whatever.
00:57:17And then, yeah, literally nearest ring shop.
00:57:21And then Rachel's like, let's sit down and have a look at these ring shops.
00:57:25And then went to quite a good one, which is a bit of a drive away and had to get Annie
00:57:29out of the equation for the day.
00:57:30There was a shopping centre nearby, so I was just chilling.
00:57:32Kicked her out.
00:57:34And so, yeah, it all worked out really well.
00:57:37Why did Henry propose so quickly?
00:57:39Kind of answer that.
00:57:40We've gone through that.
00:57:41When are you getting married?
00:57:42Second half of next year.
00:57:45Why didn't Henry go for a traditional woman without baggage?
00:57:49I mean, what woman doesn't come with baggage, firstly?
00:57:52Sorry, everyone.
00:57:53Like, fucking shock.
00:57:54But everyone.
00:57:55And that's men as well.
00:57:56Yeah, I was going to say, I don't know if that should be men.
00:57:58Every single person has got baggage and everyone else's shit is their shit.
00:58:01So, like, I, if you guys knew the story in depth like we do, I've actually got a fuck
00:58:06load more baggage than Annie does that we've been dealing with for years behind the scenes.
00:58:10So, it's all well and good to say that, but on Annie, but it's absolutely not true.
00:58:14It's 50-50, if not way more my end.
00:58:16So, that's, yeah, it's not even a question that's worth talking about.
00:58:21It annoys me.
00:58:22Do you guys plan on having kids?
00:58:24Well, you've got cancer.
00:58:28You've got terminal.
00:58:29She cut her finger open, looked it up online.
00:58:31No, that's not what happened.
00:58:33She was like, I've got terminal cancer.
00:58:35No, I got my period.
00:58:37I'd love to have kids.
00:58:38I got my period.
00:58:40It's the first time we've touched in three days.
00:58:44Don't touch me.
00:58:45Let's talk about it later.
00:58:46So, no, I got my period three times in a month.
00:58:49And then I was like having a breakdown and actually in the car on the way here to Henry
00:58:52Bay.
00:58:53I'm so stressed.
00:58:54I'm just so stressed.
00:58:55Like, what if I'm dying?
00:58:56It's cancer.
00:58:57It's going to be cancer.
00:58:58Yeah, and I'm like, these seems like things that are out of our control until you go to
00:59:00an appointment.
00:59:01Yeah, but I'm like, I just, I was stressing out because I've got pain in one side and
00:59:04I was like, I've got an ectopic pregnancy.
00:59:05My tube's going to explode.
00:59:06And then I went like down a spiral.
00:59:08Sorry, that is a kid's question.
00:59:09Yeah.
00:59:10So, yeah, we'd love to.
00:59:11If she doesn't die of one of these, the list of illnesses are this long.
00:59:15And once we eliminate all of them and everything's all good, then we'll have kids.
00:59:19And you can't have kids spontaneously.
00:59:21Like, I won't say that she's pregnant and then the kid will come four days later.
00:59:24Like, you know, like the surprising game.
00:59:26That will be generic.
00:59:28Like, that takes nine months.
00:59:30Everyone takes nine months.
00:59:31You can't get angry at me for that.
00:59:34Unless I'm a super sperm, which shits out a baby like in four months, which will probably
00:59:38happen.
00:59:39And then the headline will be like, Brayshaw has the quickest kid ever.
00:59:42Like, shocks the world.
00:59:44Oh, God.
00:59:45Anyway.
00:59:46Fucking funny.
00:59:47Does this mean Annie will be slowing down on her work, her challenges and work?
00:59:51No, I'm still going to be finishing my challenge and doing work.
00:59:55And yeah, I'm excited for everything I've got planned.
00:59:58Going away in July, August, doing the party places, bringing some people with me, a few
01:00:04assistants, I think my publicist, and also another content creator, I think.
01:00:08I don't want to say who yet, just in case, because it's not logged in.
01:00:11But yeah, I'm really excited.
01:00:13It's going to be really fun.
01:00:14So no slowing down.
01:00:17Thank you so much for listening to another episode.
01:00:19Don't forget to give us a follow on Instagram, TikTok, etc.
01:00:23Let me know if there's any guests you want me to have on the pod.
01:00:26Thank you, Henry, for joining us again today.
01:00:28Thanks, Annie, for letting me come on to your show.
01:00:31Our show now.
01:00:33Yeah, well, I'm sure he'll be back on another episode very soon.
01:00:38Yeah, yeah.
01:00:39I want to make him a bit of a regular guest because everyone seemed to love his episode.
01:00:42Everyone seemed to love me.
01:00:44Well, not after this episode.
01:00:46It was not good for you.
01:00:48Not prior to this in the media.
01:00:50Feel free to say anything nice as well.
01:00:52Yeah.
01:00:54I'll speak from now on.
01:00:56I would love, if you guys have got anything nice to say about spontaneous relationships,
01:01:00marriage, with a best friend, which is a great story, feel free to message me about it.
01:01:04I would love to hear something positive.
01:01:06It's so nice to hear that the world is so supportive.
01:01:10Anyway, we'll see you next week.
01:01:12I'll see you tonight, tomorrow, every day of the rest of my fucking life.
01:01:16For better or for worse, sickness and ill health, terminal illness or whatever.
01:01:20Okay, I'm out.
01:01:22No worries.
01:01:23Bye guys.
01:01:24See you guys.
