Transcript
00:00Obviously this very serious storm front that's smashed through the mid-north
00:06coast and into parts of the Hunter. We want to thank the community for their
00:11patience, their forbearance, the fact that they've been listening to emergency
00:15services over the last two and a bit days. We're seeing levels of rise in
00:21local tributaries, creeks, rivers that we haven't seen since 1920 and many people
00:28would have never seen this level of inundation or flooding in their
00:32communities. So we recognize that this is a new thing for many families and many
00:36communities. We want to make sure that they're safe during this period and to do
00:40that we're going to give the most up-to-date detailed information that we
00:45possibly can, whatever we know, we will give it to the public either through the
00:49hazards near the app, through emergency broadcasts or through local media. So if
00:54you're in the flood zone, if you're going to prepare to evacuate zone, if you're
00:58going to prepare to be isolated zone, it's really incumbent upon you to listen to
01:04emergency services, to make sure that you're making decisions in the best
01:07interest of your family and your community.
