00:00it's like third day in Malia Rosa and today you have really raced as the leader
00:09ah yes today I don't know the team did a super great job I cannot be more proud to be around
00:18these guys it's amazing to be to be honest I cannot believe I am one of them and sometimes
00:25I I need to be focused because I need to you know hats off the all the job they they do for me but
00:32yeah it was the first time I raised full focus and super smart and then and I cannot be more happy
00:38about today you first reacted to an attack by Egan Bernal yeah Egan honestly I want to calm down
00:49because I listen always experience of the older guys in the team and of course there is like 100
00:55case after and I just try to you know like surfing a little bit the all the attacks and all the high
01:02high speed that we manage but yes uh was was hard in one point really have you been impressed by a
01:09carapaz attack at the end I mean not impressed because I know a little bit how they race and
01:15I knew he will attack I just don't want to be the first to to jump and and when we saw like they are
01:23making like increasing the gap and increasing for sure it's a strong rider and I just want to win
01:29quickly and fast but I didn't see my teammates in good position and I just take the decision to wait
01:37with them and then try to come back everybody then you are first to sprint for the second place six
01:43seconds bonus how important is it I mean it's important because it's it's six seconds they are in the
01:50team and and for sure we want to play with the numbers and also take all these bonus and then
01:55it's more easy at the end thank you thank you you did the impression today to be very strong it's the
02:16correct I don't know I was only focused to do a smart race and be there and I don't know thank you
02:25I think next question like is it smart to keep the pink jersey for more and more days you know next
02:33three days are flat is it not extra work extra attention for you we will see it's my first time
02:39in a grand tour with the leader series that's why you want to keep it for as long as possible I don't
02:45know maybe yes maybe in half an hour no we will see next question at the end when you did the sprint
02:54you look behind to you was just to to see where the the other opponents were because gave also this
03:04the impression that you was very strong because normally I don't know probably I need to stop to
03:10do this it's a stampa press room congrats Isaac we were a bit surprised that UAE let carapace go
03:23was his attack so strong that your guys couldn't follow or was it also kind of tactic to let him go
03:31alone I know we know like carapace really strong rider and the moment we managed to try to go with
03:40him but then he go all in and a guy was in front of me was rafa and he with the wind was not able to
03:48manage to stay like in the same gap or something and then I tell him to try to go a little bit faster
03:56and then try to catch him but for the warm moment in my head and the situation of the race I didn't
04:02see like my teammates are not with me because before was cows to come to the climb and all this no
04:07and then when I attack and I went to carapace I look a little bit behind and I see the gap with Caruso
04:13but also I didn't see my teammates and the plan is not like pass over there and if we can be everybody
04:19in the front together it's a little bit nicer and easier no then that's why I stop and we manage to
04:27come everybody together press room isaac a simple question what is the longest distance you have
04:36covered uh doing training during the training I mean in real training probably 140 150 150 kilometers
04:49uh for fun or with some friends or I don't know like 200 or 210 just to arrive to 200k but real
04:58training 150 160 maybe or 170 let's be good with me for me sorry isaac sample green alpe was the
05:10first big climb of the giro right 54 uh 50 minutes 45 so how did you find your legs up there were you
05:20easy up there did you find it yourself at agancho as we say in italy okay uh to be honest I didn't feel
05:26so good the leg I feel super good but the legs not good because I take maybe the size of the body
05:31too small and I feel like the shore was struggling my legs but after I mean tomorrow the next days I
05:38will take one one size bigger and I feel better but I don't know I I was okay I had a good day on
05:45the bike and I'm happy to have this feeling but yes it's impressive for me because it's different
05:52no in a grand tour to have big mountains and I cannot realize that I can be one of those guys
05:59no one of the top guys and I need to keep working on this in my mind and yeah keep trying
06:05is that what's the thing you're enjoying most of being in the pink jersey and what's the thing
06:11you're learning most of being in pictures I learn I try to learn because we never know no I don't want
06:19to be arrogant with this but I try to learn how to recover faster in less time I don't know how to
06:25do it but I'm trying every day to do it quicker with the same quality
06:29it's incredible to put the jersey the helmet the to see the bike today I look down and I see the bar
06:38tape and the the tells is I cannot believe I am in this bike and I am in these colors and
06:45it's incredible really you don't see sometimes I smile with me because I cannot believe it
06:52when Egan attacked on Pelegrino you thought that it was too far you was worried and I saw that
07:02Ayuso was the first to catch him use one or no no no I mean sometimes it's like this when it's
07:09everybody together we managed to do normal was hard and I think was good moment but the thing
07:16is like I tried to take the experience of another riders and more older than me who passed this
07:21situation before and if you see it's like 100k to go and probably it's not the smartest things to
07:29do this or to try to follow full in or counter attack or something when you have a lot of race to
07:35do and that's why I try to have like normal feelings and don't go too crazy and just be there be attentive
07:43and trying to be a smart guy I mean I'm not smart guy but I try to do my best press room
07:49I think you even got some bonus seconds today in the finish will that be also a kind of tactic of
07:57to catch other bonus seconds even at the red bull kilometer or will Juan Ayuso tell you one day
08:05my friend don't take too much seconds ahead of me
08:09come on it's like a joke no no no for sure it's better like if we take all the bonus seconds in
08:16the team it's better as a race I mean it's normal the other riders who want to take a bonus second
08:24and it's okay it's race not always we can win as a team but for sure if we can take it me Juan
08:31Brandon Adam Jay Barancini or Igor it's better to have this because it's seconds that the competition
08:39doesn't have no matter what who but for example in the end the things comes to my favor and I just
08:47finish the the big work that the team did today from here to qua
08:54is it possible the last question in Spanish please okay thanks Isaac how's that's much
10:24any more questions thank you isaac gracias
10:28gracias
