00:00The two writers say there were two versions of the former president, one functioning and one non-functioning.
00:07The non-functioning version, they say, was hidden by Biden's inner circle.
00:12There are also allegations that Biden didn't know who his White House staffers were at some points.
00:20What do you make of this? And if people should be held accountable, what should happen?
00:25Well, you're held accountable in American politics by not being asked to be involved in other campaigns or in public office.
00:35You're not appointed to anything once your party takes control again of Congress or the White House, whatever it may be.
00:42That's the punishment. You don't have any legal liability or punishment in courts for having done this.
00:49And for Biden, of course, he's been at the end of his political career, probably while he was serving as president.
00:54So I don't think there's any additional penalty for him.
00:58For the Democratic Party, if some of these people in Congress, in the cabinet, in the staff run for office in 2026 or 2028, I think some of them will,
01:10they're going to be examined and questioned intensively about this.
01:14And as such, they will have to account for what they said then and what they actually knew.
01:21And I don't know if we'll ever be able to separate it out completely, but it's a burden they have to bear.
