Burnley boy (12) has his own candle making business

Jeylan Chorley, a 12-year-old entrepreneur, runs his own candle-making business from his home in Burnley.

00:00Tell me about your candle making business.

00:03Well, it started from Christmas really.

00:07My grandma got me a candle making set

00:10and from then I'd really enjoyed making them.

00:13But I've always been into smelly things and fragrances

00:16and I used to collect little air fresheners for the car

00:20and then hang them on my door.

00:24So, do you know how many candles and wax melts you've made then so far?

00:30I wouldn't be able to tell you, sorry.

00:34Would you say it's maybe 100?

00:36Probably, yeah, because I've got a big box of them

00:39and then the orders that I've sent out.

00:41Now, I believe you've had 30 orders.

00:44They've gone all over the world.

00:46Yeah, America, Canada...

00:49Dominican Republic?

00:52That's it, yeah. I couldn't think.

00:55So, they're all over the world, your products.

00:57Yeah.

00:57And is this something that you'd like to do as a business, do you think,

01:03I'd imagine a little shop on the main street or something.

01:09I think my little brother would enjoy working for me

01:12because he's asked me a few times.

01:15So, I'd probably let him.

01:16And you could spot him around.
