00:00I loved it, mate. I'd done my YTS here. I was one of the last YTSers, and then the new apprenticeship came.
00:06I loved it. Two years, and then, yeah, it was like I was staying in the digs just outside the ground, actually.
00:16It seemed so long ago, mate, but, yeah, no, and then under Steve McMahon, during month to month, and then got let go, mate.
00:24But, yeah, it feels a lifetime ago, but I loved it when I was here.
00:27I must ask about Steve McMahon, of course. You're a Liverpool lad, a Liverpool fan, so what was it like to have him as one of your first senior coaches?
00:35Do you know what? It was amazing to have him. His dad's hero, and then, obviously, he's the one who lets you go, so it breaks your heart.
00:42But still, nothing but respect for him, what he did for Liverpool. Really good manager, and at the time, obviously, I was devastated with getting let go,
00:50but what happens in football, the majority of people get told they're not good enough quite often, and it's about coming back.
00:56Luckily, I stayed in the game, just about, and managed to get a career.
