Rajasthan Royals defeated Chennai Super Kings by six wickets in IPL 2025 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Rajasthan Royals won the toss and opted to bowl first. Chennai Super Kings lost their opener Devon Conway and Urvil Patel quickly to Yudhvir Singh (3/47) early. But they got off to a great start courtesy fireworks from Ayush Mhatre (43) and Ravichandran Ashwin. It was Tushar Deshpande who dismissed Mhatre and gave Royals a crucial breakthrough. Wickets kept tumbling as Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja also departed quickly. It was then Shivam Dube (39) and Dewald Brevis (42), who stitched a sold partnership. As it looked Super Kings will post a big total, Brevis was dismissed by Akash Madhwal (3/29) and the latter displayed stunning death bowling to restrict Super Kings for 187/8. Royals were provided a great start by Yashasvi Jaiswal (36) and Vaibhav Suryavanshi (57). After Jaiswal departed, Sanju Samson (41) held the innings together. Royals faced a bit of scare when Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Samson departed in the same over of Ravichandran Ashwin (2/41), but Dhruv Jurel (31*) and Shimron Hetmyer took them comfortably over the winning line. This is the fourth and the last victory for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2025 and tenth loss for Chennai Super Kings.
