00:00So Microsoft has just unveiled a major update for Windows 11, featuring a new AI assistant co-pilot.
00:06That's right, Windows 11 now comes with its own AI assistant, designed to assist you in a range of tasks.
00:13This includes searching for information and inspiration on the internet,
00:17as well as helping you handle your system settings and productivity tools.
00:21This update is really exciting, and I'm eager to share more details with you.

00:37Alright, so let's talk about the Windows 11 2023 update.
00:40Microsoft tells us this update brings together all the newest features and adds some extra improvements.
00:46A key addition is the co-pilot in Windows.
00:48This is an AI-driven helper that combines Bing Chat and OpenAI plugins to offer real-time help and information.
00:54It's designed to boost your creativity and productivity by keeping you focused and streamlining your work process,
01:00so you don't have to keep switching between different applications.
01:04Microsoft has also ensured that this update installs quickly and smoothly through their efficient update process.
01:10Now, what does co-pilot actually do?
01:12It's a step ahead of other AI assistants like Siri or Cortana, which typically answer questions or execute basic tasks.
01:19Co-pilot is more advanced, capable of creating text and other content based on what you tell it.
01:24For instance, it can assist you in writing emails, summarizing web pages, generating images from ideas, and more.
01:31It can also help you manage your computer settings, organize Windows using Snap Assist, fix problems, and locate documents or files.
01:38Moreover, co-pilot connects with popular apps and services like Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
01:47Essentially, it acts as a versatile personal assistant for your computer needs.
01:51Using co-pilot in Windows 11 is straightforward.
01:54You can start it by clicking its icon on the taskbar or using a keyboard shortcut, Windows Plus C.
02:01When you open co-pilot, it appears as a sidebar on your screen without covering your other work.
02:06It operates alongside your other applications, ready for use at any time.
02:10Co-pilot offers three conversation modes, more creative, more precise, and more balanced.
02:16These options influence how co-pilot responds based on what you need.
02:19For creative tasks like image generation, choose more creative.
02:24For summarizing a web page, more precise might be better.
02:27You can interact with co-pilot using voice or text.
02:30Just tell or type your request in normal language.
02:33And co-pilot works to provide the best response or solution.
02:36For example, say turn on dark mode to change your PC's appearance, or write an email to my boss about the project update.
02:43To create a draft email, you can also ask follow-up questions or provide feedback to improve co-pilot's responses, or get more detailed information.
02:52And it isn't just for daily tasks.
02:54It's also great for creative projects or learning new things.
02:57If you're starting a blog about AI technology but need ideas, ask co-pilot for suggestions.
03:03It will provide current trends and topics in AI.
03:06Or if you're interested in learning Python coding without prior experience, co-pilot can guide you to online courses and resources to start from the beginning.
03:15Now, the Windows 11 new update also brings some other AI-powered features that can make your experience even better.
03:23Firstly, the paint program now has advanced tools that let you edit photos professionally and create impressive art.
03:30With the help of AI, you can improve your photos, get rid of things you don't want in the picture, use various filters, and do much more.
03:38The Photos app is another useful tool.
03:41It assists you in cropping and erasing parts of your photos, as well as adjusting colors and lighting.
03:47Moreover, it has a feature for creating videos from your pictures, using AI to add smooth transitions, effects, and music, making your videos look amazing.
03:57The snipping tool has also been upgraded with AI.
04:00It simplifies editing by allowing you to copy and hide text from screenshots.
04:04Additionally, you can annotate your screenshots and share them easily.
04:08Clipchamp is a video editor that utilizes AI to simplify editing your footage.
04:13AI helps you with tasks like trimming, cropping, rotating, stabilizing, and improving the quality of your videos.
04:20You can also add titles, transitions, filters, and music to make your videos stand out.
04:25Another feature, Smart App Control, uses AI to determine which apps are safe for you to download and use on Windows 11.
04:33It also helps you manage app permissions and settings, enhancing your device's security and privacy.
04:38These features I mentioned are just a few of the AI-powered tools in Windows 11 that make things easier and faster for you.
04:45There are many more features I haven't talked about in this video, but I encourage you to explore and find them yourself.
04:51Now, StatCounter reports that around 16.62% of computers use Windows 11.
04:58That's for all sorts of computers, including ones with different Windows versions or other systems like MacOS and Linux.
05:04When you look at all types of devices, including phones, tablets, and gaming consoles, about 7.54% use Windows 11.
05:13That's quite good, especially since Windows 11 only came out in October 2021.
05:17Windows 10, however, is still much more popular.
05:21It's on 71.62% of computers and 32.64% of all devices, but this could change.
05:28Microsoft plans to stop updating Windows 10 in October 2025, so people will need to move to Windows 11
05:35or choose another system to keep getting security updates and new features.
05:39When it comes to Windows 11 and its feature co-pilot, there are a few concerns and limitations that users might face.
05:46One issue is privacy.
05:48Some users are worried about how Microsoft handles their personal data and voice recordings when using co-pilot or other AI features.
05:55Microsoft assures that they respect user privacy and do not use personal information without consent.
06:02Users also have the option to adjust their privacy settings and delete their data whenever they want.
06:07Another concern is about the accuracy of the AI-generated content by co-pilot.
06:12Microsoft claims to use advanced machine learning and algorithms to ensure the results are accurate and useful.
06:18Users can also provide feedback to help improve these AI features over time.
06:23Then there's the issue of availability.
06:25Some users may not be able to upgrade to Windows 11 or use co-pilot due to compatibility problems with their hardware or software.
06:32Microsoft requires certain system specifications for Windows 11, like TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot, for better security and functioning.
06:41To check if your device is suitable for Windows 11, you can use the PC Health Check app or the Why Not Win 11 app.
06:48As for getting the Windows 11 2023 update, the process is different for regular users versus business or education users.
06:56For general users, your device needs to already have Windows 11 version 22h2.
07:01You can update by going to Settings, then to Windows Update and enable the option to receive the latest updates.
07:08After this, select Check for updates.
07:10If your device is compatible, you'll see an option saying Feature Update to Windows 11 version 23h2.
07:17Click on Download and Install to start updating your system.
07:20For those in the commercial or educational sector, your device should have at least Windows 10 version 2004.
07:27You can update through various methods like Windows Update for Business, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, System Center Configuration Manager, or the Media Creation Tool.
07:38Microsoft has detailed information on these different methods in one of their blog posts.
