00:00If you're following the news, you may have noticed that our beloved leader, Sakhir Starmer,

00:06spoke on, outside, in Downing Street, and he said,

00:10things will get worse before they get better.

00:14I sent him a letter with a copy of Light for Last Days,

00:17and I prophesied what's going to happen,

00:22the Ten Signs of the Second Coming booklet,

00:24and I said, in a way, this is correct.

00:27They will get worse, but before they get better, they will get much, much worse,

00:32as the prophets of the Bible play out in current events.

00:36Unfortunately, you won't be able to reverse this trend.

00:39The only way things will get better will be when Jesus Christ returns,

00:42with all power of God, to put things right,

00:44put right the mess which humans have made of our world.

00:56Whether he will, I don't know.

01:04So, why would I say that they might go from bad to much, much worse?

01:11Two basic reasons.

01:12One, because to fulfill the Word of God.

01:15One has to say that if you look at the prophecies of the Bible,

01:17the end times, you'll find that they all speak about a time of great trouble,

01:21which would come before the second coming of Jesus.

01:22Jesus himself would be unlike any time that's been before, or ever shall be.

01:27And unless God cut short those days, then their flesh would be saved,

01:31which implies that if God didn't cut short those days, it would bring the end of life on the earth.

01:35So, the Bible does say they're going to become a much, much worse time in the days to come.

01:40It also says there's going to be a much, much incredibly,

01:42indescribably better time coming when Jesus returns.

01:46And for those who believe in Jesus, you're going to have a number of experiences,

01:52which are so mind-blowingly good that I can't describe them, but they're in the Bible.

01:58Those who believe in Jesus are going to be supernaturally taken out of the world

02:00in the event we call the rapture of the church,

02:02when one will be taken, one will be left,

02:04and we'll go to be with the Lord, we'll meet the Lord in the air.

02:07We'll have these bodies which are subject to aging, to sickness, and ultimately to death,

02:13death replaced with bodies which will never get old, never get sick, and never die.

02:18Particularly when you get to my age in life, you're definitely looking forward to that experience.

02:23And we'll go to the marriage supper of the Lamb and meet with Jesus,

02:25and all the apostles, and all the people down through the ages,

02:28and then we'll come back with Jesus, riding on white horses,

02:31at the second coming of Jesus, when he takes up his reign on the earth for a thousand years.

02:36Does that sound good?

02:38Yeah.

02:40You have to believe in Jesus to get the other.

02:42So I do have to warn you, and anybody who's listening to this,

02:44if you don't believe in Jesus, then the future is actually indescribably bad,

02:48because you'll be separated from God for all eternity,

02:51in a place which is called hell, which you don't want to go to,

02:54and you don't need to go to, because if you repent and believe the Bible,

02:58you're going to be with Jesus forever.

03:00So that's the first reason why things are going to go from bad to worse,

03:02to fulfill the prophecies of the Bible.

03:06Second reason actually relates to something he said.

03:08He said, this project, Stalmer said, this project, i.e. the present Labour government, I suppose,

03:14has always been about fixing the foundations of our country.

03:18Okay, so the aim of the present government is to fix the foundations,

03:22which apparently have been destroyed.

03:23Now, there's a verse in the Psalms which says,

03:28if the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?

03:32And if you look at things from a biblical Christian point of view,

03:35then the foundations of biblical viewpoint,

03:40particularly biblical Christian viewpoint,

03:41have been destroyed in this country over the last several years.

03:45They've been destroyed by successive governments,

03:48Tory, Conservative,

03:48and by politicians who, in my mind,

03:51have actually betrayed this country

03:53and taken us into the wrong direction,

03:56into the hands of people who actually want to destroy us.

04:00And I have no hope at all that Sir Keir Stalmer

04:04is going to change that.

04:08Unless he repents and believes the gospel,

04:09which, if he did so,

04:10he'd actually be thrown out of office anyway.

04:12So the way the system is structured, he cannot.

04:15But there's a certain train of events

04:18which have been set in motion

04:19which will lead, ultimately, to this time of trouble.

04:23But I felt to read the scripture

04:26which actually Chris read to us the other week,

04:28but I'm going to read it again,

04:29from Isaiah chapter 1,

04:32which, to my mind, actually describes

04:34what's happening today.

04:37It's written by Isaiah, of course,

04:38to the people of Israel at this time.

04:40But if you look at it carefully,

04:42you can see that much of it applies to our time

04:44and to us today.

04:46So if you're going to read from Isaiah chapter 1,

04:48starting at verse 2.

04:53Hear, O Evans, and give ear, O earth,

04:55for the Lord has spoken.

04:57I have nourished and brought up children.

04:59They have rebelled against me.

05:01The ox knows its owner,

05:02and the donkey its master's crib.

05:04But Israel does not know.

05:06My people do not consider.

05:08Alas, sinful nation,

05:09a people laden with iniquity,

05:11a brood of evildoers,

05:12children who are corruptors.

05:14They've forsaken the Lord.

05:16They've provoked to anger the Holy One of Israel.

05:19They've turned away backward.

05:21Why should you be stricken again?

05:23You will revolt more and more.

05:25The whole head is sick,

05:26and the whole heart faints.

05:28From the sole of the foot,

05:29even to the head,

05:30there is no soundness in it,

05:32but wounds and bruises

05:33and putrefying sores.

05:35They've not been closed or bound up

05:37or soothed with ointment.

05:38Your country is desolate.

05:40Your cities are burned with fire.

05:42Strangers devour your land in your presence.

05:44It is desolate,

05:45and as overthrown by strangers.

05:47So the daughter of Zion is left

05:48as a booth in the vineyard,

05:50as a hut in the garden of cucumbers,

05:53as a besieged city.

05:55Unless the Lord of hosts

05:56had left us a very small remnant,

05:57we would have become like Sodom.

05:59We'd have been made like Gomorrah.

06:01Hear the word of the Lord,

06:02you rulers of Sodom.

06:03Give ear to the law of our God,

06:05you people of Gomorrah.

06:06To what purpose is the multitude

06:08of your sacrifices to me,

06:09says the Lord?

06:10I've had enough of burnt offerings,

06:12of rams,

06:13and of the fat of burnt cattle.

06:14I do not delight in the blood of bulls

06:17or of lambs or of goats.

06:19When you come to appear before me,

06:21who has required this from your hand

06:23to trample my courts,

06:25bring no more futile sacrifices,

06:26incense as an abomination to me?

06:28The new moons,

06:29the Sabbaths,

06:30and the calling of assemblies,

06:31I cannot endure,

06:32your iniquity and the sacred meeting.

06:35Your new moons

06:36and your appointed feasts

06:37my soul hates.

06:39They're a trouble to me

06:40and I'm weary of bearing them.

06:42When you spread out your hands,

06:43I will hide my eyes from you.

06:44Even though you make many prayers,

06:46I will not hear you.

06:47Your hands are full of blood.

06:49A pretty strong statement,

06:51that is actually saying

06:51to the people of Israel,

06:53I'm fed up with your religion.

06:54It does nothing for me.

06:55You can offer all your sacrifices,

06:57all you like,

06:58but it's just hypocrisy

06:59because in your hearts

07:00there is so much evil

07:01and I'm waiting for you

07:02to change your ways

07:03before I can take note

07:05of what you are saying.

07:07Even your prayers,

07:08I won't hear them.

07:09And that means that

07:10we have to be right with God

07:11if God's going to hear our prayers.

07:13We have to be living in the right way

07:14if we want God to bless us.

07:16Which is what the prophet says

07:17in the next few verses,

07:18which conclude the Bep

07:19that you're going to read today.

07:21Wash yourselves,

07:21make yourselves clean,

07:22put away the evil of your doings

07:24from before my eyes,

07:25cease to do evil,

07:26learn to do good,

07:27seek justice,

07:28rebuke the oppressor,

07:30defend the fatherless,

07:31plead for the widow.

07:32Come now,

07:32let us reason together,

07:33says the Lord,

07:34though your sins are like scarlet,

07:35they should be as white as snow.

07:37Though they're red like crimson,

07:38they should be as wool.

07:40If you're willing and obedient,

07:41you should eat the good of the land.

07:43But if you refuse and rebel,

07:45you will be devoured by the sword.

07:47For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.

07:51It's a very graphic description

07:52of the nation

07:53and I think you can see

07:54if you look at it carefully,

07:55there are a number of things

07:56which relate to this nation

07:58as well as to Israel.

08:00See a body here

08:01which is described as being afflicted

08:03from head to toe.

08:05The head is injured,

08:06the heart is afflicted.

08:08So the top people

08:09who are running the country,

08:10from the top people

08:11right down to the bottom people

08:12at the bottom of the pile,

08:14you've got a diseased

08:15and wounded body.

08:17The head,

08:17which is the controlling influence,

08:19is no longer subject to the head

08:23of God,

08:25but is under its own influence

08:26and particularly under the influence

08:29of the evil one.

08:31And therefore it's giving wrong advice,

08:32it's giving wrong directions

08:33and it's not functioning

08:36with sound judgment.

08:38Do you see any of that

08:39happening in our country today?

08:41Especially from people in authority.

08:43Sometimes there's some really crazy things

08:45going on

08:45which seem to be mad.

08:48The heart also is wrong,

08:51it's afflicted.

08:52The heart which is the seed

08:53of the emotion,

08:54the spiritual life

08:54which causes the whole body

08:56to function correctly

08:58and to live

09:01is now malfunctioning.

09:03So if the heart

09:04and the head and the heart

09:05are malfunctioning

09:05then that body is diseased

09:07and if it continues in that way

09:08it's going to die.

09:10Because if your head's not working

09:11and your heart's not working

09:11you're heading towards

09:12actual death.

09:15So God is saying

09:15that there's something

09:16so radically wrong

09:17with this society

09:17unless it changes its ways

09:19it's on the path

09:20to extinction,

09:22to death.

09:24And he tells us very clearly

09:25what is the reason

09:26for this condition.

09:28He says

09:29they're a sinful nation

09:31they don't consider God

09:32they're a brood of evildoers

09:34and they've forsaken the Lord

09:36they've provoked to anger

09:37the Holy One of Israel

09:38they've turned away backward.

09:41So it's not accidental

09:42they're in this condition

09:43it's because of a attitude

09:44which has been part of the society

09:47from the rulers

09:47down to the bottom

09:48of forsaking the Lord

09:49doing what they think is right

09:51not what God says is right

09:52and as a result

09:54they're in this desperate condition.

09:56and they're really speaking

09:59about rejection

10:00and rebellion against God

10:01at all levels of society

10:04days of Isaiah

10:06the foundations were laid

10:09by Moses in the Torah

10:10and the way that God

10:12wanted the people to live

10:12was according to the Torah

10:14the commandments given by God

10:16particularly the Ten Commandments

10:17given at Sinai

10:18and by the time of the prophets

10:21you see that all of those things

10:22are now being set aside

10:24and people are doing

10:24what is opposed to

10:25those commandments.

10:27Today the foundations

10:28are laid by the apostles

10:29of Jesus Christ

10:30who is the right foundation

10:31that we should lay

10:32our lives upon

10:33and we see that

10:34the Christian foundations

10:35of our society

10:36have also been destroyed

10:37and so it's no accident

10:39that these things are happening

10:40he says the result

10:41is a desolation

10:42your cities are burned with fire

10:44your fields are stripped

10:45by foreigners

10:46what previous generations

10:48have built up

10:48is now being torn down

10:49and laid waste

10:50they compare to Sodom and Gomorrah

10:53we know that Sodom and Gomorrah

10:55were of course destroyed

10:56by the fire of God

10:57because of their sin

10:58and he says

11:00unless the Lord

11:00had left us a remnant

11:01we would have become

11:02like Sodom and Gomorrah

11:04the question is

11:05what does he mean

11:06by the remnant

11:07one of the words

11:09which Isaiah uses frequently

11:11in his prophecy

11:11is to speak about

11:12the remnant

11:13the remnant actually means

11:14the believing godly remnant

11:16of people who are still living

11:17according to the commands of God

11:19and he's saying here

11:21that if it wasn't

11:22for that godly remnant

11:23then this society

11:24in other words

11:25Israel that he's talking to

11:26would become like

11:27Sodom and Gomorrah

11:28what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah

11:30they were destroyed

11:31so again you have this image

11:33that if they carry it on

11:34this way

11:34if they're continuing

11:35in this rebellion

11:37they're heading for destruction

11:38could it be that that applies

11:42to our country as well

11:43do you see signs like

11:45Sodom and Gomorrah

11:46in this country

11:47do you see rulers

11:48who are like Sodom and Gomorrah

11:49and our role actually

11:51in this is to be

11:52a faithful remnant

11:53to bear witness

11:53to God's truth

11:54to pray

11:55to pray for the rock

11:56to be halted

11:57for the truth

11:58to be preserved

11:58but Isaiah is saying

12:01warning here

12:02that because of the rulers

12:02of Sodom

12:03and the people

12:04of Gomorrah

12:05judgment is coming

12:06indeed it's already beginning

12:08and he goes on

12:10to say in verse 21

12:11that the faithful city

12:12has become a prostitute

12:13the priests and the prophets

12:15have sold out

12:16to evil forces

12:17do you see that happening

12:20in our society as well

12:21how much is the church

12:24sold out

12:24how much is official

12:26Christianity abandoned

12:27what's written

12:29in this book

12:29you've got multi-faith

12:31things

12:33you've got

12:33supporting the LGBT

12:34agenda

12:35and the church

12:37prostituting itself

12:38in so many ways

12:39to antichrist measures

12:40that's why the church

12:41is so weak

12:42that's why the

12:43people who speak

12:44in the name of the Lord

12:45or same of Christianity

12:47have so little authority

12:48because they're not

12:49based upon the word of God

12:50they're just based upon

12:51their private opinions

12:52most of which

12:53are going in the same way

12:54as the politicians

12:55and everybody else

12:56in fact

12:56sometimes I think

12:57the church is saying

12:58please world

12:59we want to be like you

13:00don't leave us behind

13:01we're on the same page

13:03and don't kick us out

13:04we just want to be like you

13:06God says

13:07no don't be like the world

13:08God wants you to be different

13:09God wants you to challenge the world

13:11God wants you to resist the world

13:12and all its influences

13:13and he goes on to say

13:16that justice falls

13:17in a later passage

13:19in Isaiah

13:19he's going to write

13:20justice is fallen in the street

13:22and he who departs from evil

13:24makes himself a prey

13:25in other words

13:27the godly person

13:27the righteous person

13:28who finds themselves

13:29on the wrong side

13:30of those in power

13:31make themselves a prey

13:33and may find themselves

13:35being subject

13:37to some kind of persecution

13:38or rejection

13:39and we see today

13:41even today

13:42in our society

13:42cases of Christians

13:43who protest

13:44at some form of

13:44anti-Christ rulings

13:45in society

13:46or in their jobs

13:47or in their

13:48even in the political

13:52system

13:52end up in trouble

13:53with those in authority

13:54sometimes even losing

13:55their jobs

13:56being condemned

13:57or being ostracised

13:58and he goes on to say

14:00that the result

14:01is a growing violence

14:02in society

14:03you see that happening

14:04all these random

14:06knife attacks

14:08sent this killings

14:09prisons are now full

14:11there's nowhere to put them

14:12so they're releasing criminals

14:14presumably to carry on

14:16putting crime

14:16also go on to speak

14:18about money

14:19losing its value

14:20you see that happening

14:22cost of living crisis

14:24inflation

14:25high taxation

14:26and measures

14:28which are now being proposed

14:29which I'll say a little bit more about

14:30which will inevitably lead

14:32I believe

14:32to greater economic decline

14:34and collapse

14:35for people

14:36do

14:36generations

14:37and

14:38if

14:38I believe

14:39I believe

14:39that now

14:40is

14:40something

14:40you see that
