00:00Former President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer which
00:05has spread to his bones. Prostate cancer is the second deadliest form of cancer for men in the
00:10US. It's curable when it's caught early but the symptoms are easy to miss and sometimes they
00:15don't even emerge until the cancer has spread further. Here are five early signs of prostate
00:20cancer. Difficulty starting to pee, a weak flow when you pee, a feeling that your bladder hasn't
00:28emptied properly, needing to pee more often than usual especially at night and a sudden urge to pee
00:35and maybe not making it to the toilet in time. If the cancer spreads you may experience other symptoms
00:41like back pain, hip pain or pelvic pain, blood in your semen or urine, a difficulty keeping or getting
00:48an erection, unexplained weight loss or weakness or numbness in the legs and feet. That can also cause
00:55loss of bladder control because of pressure on the spinal cord. The good news for the former
01:00president is that his prostate cancer is hormone sensitive which means that there are a ton of
01:05treatment options out there and researchers have made a ton of breakthroughs in recent years
01:10treating this exact type of cancer. For more information check out our reporting at businessinsider.com
