00:00Hello and welcome to the Jailbird room 4x8. Now I've upgraded the room so this is the kind

00:11of final room the only thing that you have left to do is to put a roof on it a ceiling now I've

00:17left the geometry in there for you see this part here all you have to do is select those little

00:22points around the edge or just select all the edges and then just press F on the keyboard

00:28inside blender and you'll make you'll actually put a roof in there for you I haven't put the roof in

00:33there because if I put a roof on it or the ceiling inside it I won't be able to show you what's inside

00:39it so anyway this is the final room at the moment again it's all default colors if you want it now

00:45I'll give you an animation on the door I'll show you the door here ignore that for a moment I'll

00:52explain it if you open the door it's on keyframe animation just to let you know that now I didn't

01:00put I did not put a light inside this room because it's the red room and the only the only light this

01:07room's got as you can see it's through the window so this big square of light here you won't have a

01:14light from there because this light is coming from the ceiling so the only light you're going to have

01:19inside this room is the light here from the window and the light from the door so you'll have a couple

01:27of different lights in there well not lights but you'll have the light the light reflection inside

01:32the room that's all you're going to have make the room a bit more creepy well anyway yeah different

01:38rooms have different accessories just in case you're wondering so it's always the same room so it's the

01:44whole layout is the same probably but temporarily just a nice convenience you as I said you can take

01:51the entire asset the whole entire thing drag it drop it in blender and you can customize twist bend and

01:57shape it the idea is to make some assets so you can just snuff them together and make up a level

02:02pretty pretty quick so I think you agree okay I'll give you a mattress inside here and the bed is not

02:11actually glued to the floor so and you can move it if you want to so as I say it's not supposed to be

02:18moved inside the game it's supposed to be part of the floor and the mattress on top yes you can move it

02:23again it's a blender you can add cloth to it and then you can animate it add a piece of cloth like a

02:30mattress so it's up to you so if the prisoner comes in here and decides to throw it at the window throw

02:36out the door it will actually bend twist and bend just like a mattress anyway that's for a different

02:42video different time and we're going to do it temporarily it's got a bed if you zoom into the

02:47bed I'll show you this you see it's on here it's a jailbird room and a b cube just so you know where the

02:55bed belongs to so that's where the bed is and I haven't done the toilet yet I think in well yeah I've done

03:02almost everything I just haven't done the toilet so I think do they have a toilet in the cell probably

03:10not maybe you have to come out and go and find the toilet and not only that it's a game mode so you

03:17might not necessarily need the toilet but it all depends on how how much interaction you've got in

03:25the game mode so anyway it's up to you so yeah as I said I think if you don't want to put too much in

03:32the cell because and the prisoner is going to have quite a few items to play with and yeah I want to

03:38give him the bare give her the bare minimum amount because the idea anyway I'm not going to give you the

03:53one here and one in here okay so there's four trays in total you can take the tray from here you can

03:59pull it through the slot in the door when you put it through the door the prisoner comes along takes

04:04the tray puts it on the table and eats his food this is my interpretation of a of a chair for the for

04:13the prison cell and this is his dinner plate basically that's his tray or her tray doesn't matter how

04:19we're looking at it and of course there's a table outside here so when the cook comes along she she

04:25puts he or she put the tray on the table you take the tray and put it back in the door and then of

04:32course if you're planning on opening the door don't forget to move the tray and put it back on there

04:38of course I haven't moved it from there today because I haven't got no character here yet who I can use to

04:45after you hold the tray and then basically walk over here and put it back down yeah anyway yeah

04:53before the door opens anyway the idea of this is before you even open the door the cat the the

05:02prisoner inside the cell takes the tray walks over here and places it on the table so yeah anyway so

05:12that's all you have to do now if you leave you can leave it where it is I'm going to tell you this

05:16you can kind of cheat a little bit so because you're outside here and all you're going to see

05:21in the game world you're going to see the tray go inside the door so this is what you can do when

05:28you bring your character over here you can have the character obviously bend over to grab the tray

05:33now of course if you want to do that from this point of view it doesn't even have to walk over

05:41here but ideally you want him to walk from there to there because if you can see through the bars

05:45you can see if anyone collects the tray okay so let's suppose and you can see him comes along grab

05:52the tray bring it in okay now all you have to do is basically hide the tray and that way when you open the

06:00door you will automatically assume that the prisoner because now he's over here sitting down you will

06:09assume that he took the tray and he's placed on the table when in reality you haven't done that all

06:15you've done was when it was closed you took the tray you hid the tray and you automatically put it back on

06:24the table so the so the prison that doesn't have to do nothing all you have to do is walk to the

06:29door and then walk back to the table of course if you want to you can actually have him physically or

06:34her you can have him take the tray and then carry it over to the table as said entirely up to you

06:42entirely optional this is the wireframe for it now I'll show you the wireframe not because for any

06:49particular reason it's just that I want to show you that everything's perfectly in the right order

06:54everything is connected together now the only thing you can do here if you want to do this again

07:00click optional to save on memory a little bit you see all these little lines around here you can just

07:06put in blender select all the little lines all those lines all the back lines more or less so just go

07:12around and select all the lines and then just go delete and then that way you'll give you less

07:17geometry I'm not really too kind of bothered about it at the moment because I'm still upgrading it so I

07:22can't get rid of the line yet but you can do it if you're happy enough with that great as I say

07:28this line down here as you may know this the wall goes back look and then you come back out then

07:34the same this side the wall goes back and then back sorry I apologize the wall goes back and then comes

07:40across just in case you're wondering both sides so this side is the same as this side anyway if you

07:48like the content you like it and if you don't then you don't anyway I'm trying my best I really am I'm

07:55trying to give you as much as I can possibly give you so I'm trying to take out most of the work so

07:59you don't have that so you don't have to do it anyway yeah just take it put it in blender put it in the

08:05game engine the animation on the door add a bit of game script to that and yeah you can run around

08:10the level anyway try it in Unreal Engine try it in CryEngine anyway stay safe keep your friends like
