00:00But he was completely a directorial school by fire.
00:06Welcome to Ms. Mojo.
00:08And today we're looking at movie cast who could collectively agree that one particular co-star was the worst.
00:13I would have called my husband, I would say, listen, you gotta take care of Jared Leto.
00:17You know, just be between me and you.
00:20Number 10. Wesley Snipes. Blade Trinity.
00:24This threequel's dip in quality mirrors its production issues with star Wesley Snipes at the center.
00:28Patton Oswalt called Snipes crazy in a hilarious way, claiming he spent most days smoking weed in his trailer, refused to break character, and strangled director David Goyer.
00:38Wall of pot stench would just be like, whoa, and kind of push you to the side, and then he would only answer to the name Blade.
00:48Where Oswalt found humor in Snipes' alleged behavior, Jessica Biel thought the Blade actor was a little unnerving.
00:53Snipes also reportedly referred to Ryan Reynolds as a cracker.
00:56According to Oswalt, the filmmakers intentionally gave Reynolds the worst jokes and puns, so they could cut to Wesley's face not doing anything, because that's all they could get from him.
01:05All the vampires go Popeye.
01:08So, can we just go right ahead and sign you up for one of our secret Night Stalker Dakota rings?
01:13Everyone was seemingly unified in making fun of Snipes, who reconciled with Reynolds 20 years later in Deadpool and Wolverine.
01:21I was going to talk to you, and I was like, pfft, I hate this guy.
01:25No, that's a joke. We've been playing this for like two decades.
01:29We've actually liked each other the whole time.
01:32Number 9. Christian Bale.
01:34American Psycho.
01:35Christian Bale is another actor known for Going Method.
01:37While this has resulted in some great performances, you can imagine how stressful this might be for Bill's co-stars, especially when playing a serial killer like Patrick Bateman.
01:45I'm very sorry, sir.
01:46J&B straight and a corona.
01:49Would you like to hear the-
01:49Double absolute martini.
01:52Yes, sir.
01:53Would you like to hear the specials?
01:54Not if you want to keep your spleen.
01:56While Bill didn't go too far, Chloe's 70 found it difficult to socialize with him, saying,
02:00Working with Christian was pretty hard, because I didn't know this whole method thing.
02:04I think if you stay, something bad will happen.
02:11I think I might hurt you.
02:13Years later, when they re-teamed on Ford vs. Ferrari, Josh Lucas told Bale all of the other actors' thoughts that he was the worst actor they'd ever seen during the production of American Psycho.
02:22Lucas changed his tune after seeing Bill's performance in the finished film.
02:25Even so, Bill was in the dark about how his co-stars felt.
02:28And we could not get through the scene at all, because the crew was busting up, I was busting up.
02:33It's a funny movie if you're a sick bastard like I am.
02:36Number 8.
02:38Richard Pryor.
02:39Blue Collar.
02:40There's no denying that Richard Pryor was a one-of-a-kind talent.
02:43With a history of heavy substance use, though, he wasn't always the easiest person to work with.
02:47This was apparent on the set of Blue Collar.
02:49God knows I try to be.
02:51While there were tensions across the ensemble, Pryor was arguably the main source of conflict.
02:55Pryor reportedly didn't get along with Yafit Kodo or Harvey Keitel, constantly arguing with them.
03:01Matters grew especially aggressive between Pryor and Keitel, who threw an ashtray's contents at the camera in response to his co-stars' prolonged ad-libs.
03:08Don't you aim at all?
03:10You're telling me, they have a little curve to it.
03:14I'm just setting them up for the bat.
03:15I have a new technique.
03:18It's called radar.
03:19In retaliation, Pryor had his bodyguard beat Keitel.
03:22Pryor also allegedly attacked Kodo with a chair.
03:25The animosity extended to director Paul Schrader, who accused Pryor of pulling a gun on him.
03:30It's all right. Let me talk to the new steward.
03:33Yeah, let him talk to me.
03:35Tell me about how you like the working man.
03:36Number 7.
03:38Shia LaBeouf.
03:39Fury.
03:39The real battle in this World War II film was between Shia LaBeouf and his fellow actors.
03:44No stranger to erratic behavior, LaBeouf got into character by having a tooth removed and giving himself scars.
03:49I'll sing it if you don't do that.
03:50Please touch your mustache.
03:51Don't f***ing touch your mustache.
03:53Stop, Brady.
03:53Why does that bother you so much?
03:54Stop, boy. I'll shoot you.
03:55I'll shoot you, I swear.
03:57LaBeouf also stopped bathing, much to the annoyance of Logan Lerman, Jason Isaacs, and Brad Pitt.
04:02The young actor was reportedly sent to a bed and breakfast to distance himself from the rest of the cast.
04:06There were also fistfights during production.
04:08Although LaBeouf says this was part of a bonding experience suggested by director David Ayer.
04:12It's a hard environment, you know, it's a hard environment.
04:16But you learn to love each other to the point where you don't want to go nowhere.
04:20You know, none of us wanted to leave the tank.
04:22LaBeouf claims tensions de-escalated as the shoot wrapped, and his co-stars all love each other.
04:26According to a source, though, several people on set spoke out against LaBeouf, including Pitt and Ayer.
04:31When you put a bunch of guys in extreme circumstances like that,
04:34and everyone's trying to make the best movie possible,
04:36you know, and there's a bunch of testosterone,
04:39there's gonna be, you know, some clashing of the heads.
04:41Number 6.
04:43Steven Seagal.
04:44Out for justice.
04:45Few actors have a worse reputation than Steven Seagal.
04:48It's safe to say he didn't make many friends during the production of this action thriller.
04:51Because those bullets could have saved you a lot of pain.
04:54I like pain, you know.
04:55Seagal supposedly had co-star William Forsythe's screen time reduced,
04:59fearing he was better than him.
05:00Despite this, Forsythe said,
05:02A part of me that really liked Seagal, but then there's that other side.
05:05Julianna Margulies was less forgiving,
05:07finding Seagal so scary that she didn't want to be alone in the same room with him.
05:11And I figured if I just survived in a hotel room with an action star and a gun,
05:15without getting hurt, I could take a subway ride home and pay off my credit card.
05:19So that's what I did.
05:20No cast member grew to hate Seagal more than an up-and-coming John Leguizamo,
05:24who later worked with him again in Executive Decision,
05:26where a physical altercation broke out.
05:28Leguizamo has since repeatedly made fun of Seagal,
05:31even basing his character from the menu on him.
05:33All right, it's Steven Seagal.
05:34I base it on.
05:36Well, he's a bully, so I'm okay with that.
05:38Yeah, fair enough.
05:39And he's getting older, so if he catches me on a red carpet,
05:42I'll be able to run away.
05:44Number 5.
05:45Jared Leto, Suicide Squad.
05:47Jared Leto's turn as the Joker received more attention for his off-screen behavior.
05:51Leto allegedly sent the cast an assortment of disturbing gifts,
05:54including used condoms, sex toys, and a dead pig.
05:58How many weird things?
05:59I can't even begin to tell you the weird things I got.
06:02Some cast members tried putting a smile on Leto's methods.
06:04Margot Robbie was initially disgusted by the live rat Leto gifted her,
06:08although she wound up keeping it as a pet.
06:09Others struggled to see the joke.
06:11Viola Davis called Leto's gifts horrific,
06:13saying that he did some bad things.
06:15I almost had, like, my pepper spray out, you know?
06:19Well, you're bad from Law & Order.
06:21Yeah, you remember that bullet you sent me?
06:23Adewale Akinoye Agbaje found Leto's actions downright selfish,
06:27not wanting his dirty leftovers.
06:29Don't tell me you're dirty leftovers.
06:31That just isn't right.
06:32You see why you ain't part of the squad, right?
06:33That's what you're upset about.
06:34Not the actual gift, just that you weren't invited to the party.
06:37No, you can see why you ain't part of the squad, right?
06:39That's just downright selfish.
06:41In response to online backlash, Leto said,
06:43If I do something risky and you don't like it,
06:45basically, you can kiss my ass.
06:47Try telling that to your co-stars, Mr. J.
06:49The Joker is somebody who doesn't really respect things like personal space or boundaries.
06:56Number 4. Val Kilmer, The Island of Dr. Moreau.
07:00This production nightmare faced numerous obstacles,
07:02including an unpredictable Marlon Brando.
07:05Look at yourself.
07:06I understand that I must be shocking to you.
07:09Val Kilmer was perhaps the most antagonistic figure, however.
07:12Brought on board as a substitute for Bruce Willis,
07:15Kilmer refused to work the required number of days,
07:17resulting in him being designated to a supporting role.
07:20When Kilmer showed up on set reportedly two days late,
07:22he brought a hostile attitude with him.
07:24Supposedly, this was because Kilmer's marriage to Joanne Wally was ending.
07:28I know.
07:31I give all my gifts to feed the poor.
07:35I know I give my body to be burned.
07:37In any case, Kilmer added toxicity to an already uneasy environment,
07:41giving actor Rob Morrow another reason to quit.
07:44Although director Richard Stanley was replaced with John Frankenheimer,
07:47this did little to calm Kilmer.
07:48In addition to allegedly feuding with Brando,
07:50Kilmer was accused of generally being a prep school jerk.
07:53Val was smoking a cigarette.
07:56And he goes...
07:58And he starts to burn the end of this guy's hair during the take.
08:03Number 3. Marlon Brando, Mutiny on the Bounty.
08:06Dr. Morrow was far from the first production that Brando made difficult.
08:101962's Mutiny on the Bounty was not only one of the most expensive films at the time,
08:14but also one of the biggest flops.
08:15Much of the blame went to Brando,
08:17who was accused of being controlling, tardy, and uncooperative.
08:21It's the privilege of every captain to decide when an emergency
08:23wants the reduction of water rations.
08:26Who can deny there was an emergency?
08:28Aside from clashing with director Louis Milestone,
08:30Brando didn't get along with his co-stars.
08:32Trevor Howard called Brando unprofessional and completely ridiculous,
08:36while Richard Harris described him as a large, dreadful nightmare.
08:49Shooting one scene, Harris walked off the set and shouted to Brando,
08:52When you're ready to work, call me.
08:54Milestone would describe the production as the mutiny of Marlon Brando.
09:02You'd have beside the camera a big board, and the lines would be on the board, you see.
09:07Following its failure, Hollywood and Brando's career took significant turns.
09:11Number 2. Sean Andrews. Dazed and Confused.
09:14This hangout comedy launched several careers, most notably Matthew McConaughey's.
09:19I get older, they stay the same age.
09:22In a way, McConaughey has Sean Andrews to thank.
09:24Initially, Andrew's Kevin Pickford was going to have a more prominent part.
09:28Director Richard Linklater could tell that the other actors weren't responding to Andrews, however.
09:33Linklater even broke up a fight between Andrews and Jason London.
09:36As such, Linklater reduced Andrews' role and gave McConaughey more screen time.
09:40The only cast member Andrews gelled with was Mila Jovovich, who also had her role downsized.
09:45Do you guys know what that song's about?
09:48It's about aliens.
09:51We're the aliens, man.
09:53We're the savages.
09:55Jovovich and Andrews got hitched behind the scenes, although the marriage was annulled after two months.
09:59It's kind of a little hard for me to remember things from Dazed and Confused,
10:03because we were all, like, seriously a little Dazed and Confused while filming it.
10:07The cast otherwise found Andrews cocky, as he built himself up as the next Marlon Brando.
10:12Well, Andrews and Brando have one thing in common.

10:31Number 1.
10:32Lawrence Tierney.
10:34Reservoir Dogs.
10:35Given this veteran character actor's background playing tough guys,
10:38Quentin Tarantino casts him as crime boss Joe Cabot in his debut film.
10:41How about if I'm Mr. Purple?
10:43I mean, that sounds good to me.
10:44I'll probably be Mr. Purple.
10:46You're not Mr. Purple.
10:48Some guy has some other job as Mr. Purple.
10:51You're Mr. Pink!
10:52It soon occurred to Tarantino that Tierney was, in his words, a complete lunatic.
10:57Tarantino thus decided to shoot Tierney's scenes first.
11:00During production, Tierney was arrested for drunkenly shooting his nephew at home,
11:04although he was released to complete filming.
11:06Tarantino told The Guardian,
11:07By the end of the week, everybody on set hated Tierney.
11:10It wasn't just me.
11:11He also had this thing where you'd be trying to talk to him.
11:15Okay, so Lawrence and then all of a sudden he would just start walking away.
11:19Alright, right in the middle of your talking.
11:21This hectic week culminated in a fight between the actor and director,
11:24driving Tarantino to fire Tierney.
11:26In response, the whole set applauded Tarantino.
11:28The crew breaks out into applause.
11:33While Tarantino ultimately got the scenes he needed for Tierney,
11:36they never collaborated again.
11:38Alright kid, how about you?
11:38Me and you, we're gonna go out and we're gonna drink.
11:40We're gonna put this all behind us, you know?
11:42And they go, nah, I just really feel like going on a drink.
11:45Can you think of any actors who are infamously difficult to work with?
11:48Let us know in the comments.
11:49I then made another strategic error.
11:53I met Val Kilmer.
11:54Do you agree with our picks?
