00:00So, I've already been to the Pyramids, I've already got my Obsidian, which I'll be wearing on stage tomorrow.
00:07I would love to drink some more Mezcal, I'd love to eat some more incredible food.
00:12And I want to do a bit of partying here, see what the music's like.
00:24Well, firstly, I'm not sure what I can expect from the festival.
00:28I've never been to Mexico City before, so I'm very excited to see if anybody does know any of my music or knows who I am.
00:38I'm hoping so, but it will be all of the songs that I've played in the UK and I've written over the course of my time in the music industry.
00:50You know, I've worked with people like David Guetta, so I'm excited to see if the people of Mexico know the music.
01:02But my set is just one big party.
01:05I like to give dance music to people and see people dancing and have that experience with them on stage.
01:11So I'm looking forward to a party the Mexican way.
01:15I try and get quite a lot of sleep.
01:17I try and drink a lot of water.
01:20I try and keep myself as calm as possible.
01:23I don't like any music when I get ready for a show.
01:26I like to be quiet so I can save all of my energy for stage.
01:32So I feel like I'm in really good company and I feel very honoured to have been booked for tomorrow.
01:40And long may it continue.
01:41I really hope I get to play more festivals in Mexico as well.
01:46My favourite part of performing live is singing.
01:49I don't get to sing to that level, that strongly, that big with all my energy anywhere else apart from studio.
02:00But even in the studio, I don't get to sing to sing full bodied.
02:06And stages is a place where I get to be unapologetically myself and and and just be free.
02:15I find it so free.
02:16My mind is so clear and I just get to open my mouth as wide as I can and and sing.
02:22And, you know, I I like to I like to think I'm a I'm a I'm a capable singer.
02:29So so, yeah, I'm I'm that's my favourite part.
02:34I don't know.
02:34I've never I've never been in front of a Mexican audience, but I would assume that the reason why Mexico is so special as an audience is because music is so.
02:46Culturally intertwined here.
02:49Music is playing everywhere all the time over Mexico City.
02:53I've only been here two days and everywhere I go.
02:56I hear music from the cars and the shops everywhere.
02:58Um, and and I'm really I'm really excited to to see if they approve of me and my music and what I do.
03:07I would love my legacy to be my perseverance and I kind of discovered my love for music sort of on my own, maybe with a bit of help from my brothers and sisters.
03:24But I would love my legacy to be that even if you're in a male dominated space, even if you've only got male DJs ahead of you, that you have a place at the table.
03:37The sky's the limit and you can truly achieve whatever you want to, which is gracias Mexico City.
03:45I can't wait to meet you all tomorrow on stage at the festival.
03:48I'm on at 5 p.m.
03:49and I can't wait to see what you guys have and I can't wait to party with you all the Mexico City way, which is gracias.
