00:00After being banned from Apple's U.S. App Store in 2020, Fortnite for iOS is now unavailable across the globe.
00:06The game was removed five years ago after the game's creator, Epic Games, tried to circumvent Apple's 30% fee it charges developers for in-app purchases.
00:16In April, a judge ruled that Apple was not allowed to charge developers for purchases that users made on its own website,
00:22and Epic Games asked for Fortnite to be reinstated in the U.S.
00:25Now, Apple has blocked the game from being downloaded altogether.
00:29Epic Games called out the move on X saying,
00:31Apple has blocked our Fortnite submission, so we cannot release to the U.S. App Store or to the Epic Games Store for iOS in the European Union.
00:39Now, sadly, Fortnite on iOS will be offline worldwide until Apple unblocks it.
00:44Apple has yet to comment on the situation.
