00:00Which country is most likely to win Eurovision according to history?

00:07Between 1956 and 2024, more than half of Eurovision winners have been women,

00:13and all of them were between 25 and 27 years old.

00:17That is according to my betting sites, which analyzed 71 past winners and their characteristics

00:23ahead of the grand final, which takes place on the 17th of May.

00:27Slightly over 45% of past winners sang a pop song, and 49.3% did so in English.

00:35The most shared music topic amongst previous winners is love and relationships, at 59.7%.

00:43In this year's competition, Cecil, representing Denmark, shares the most traits with a typical

00:49Eurovision champion, holding five winning characteristics.

00:52She's a female solo performer who sings a pop song about love in English.

00:57This is followed by the representatives of Ireland, Malta and Luxembourg, who all have

01:02the second highest number of traits typical of a Eurovision winner.

01:06At the beginning of May, Sweden's entry was the most streamed song on Spotify from this

01:12year's contestants, with 38.5 million streams.

01:16Italy's entry was the second most streamed song on Spotify, with 37.9 million streams.

01:22This year's Eurovision is taking place in Switzerland, the country that hosted the first ever contest

01:27back in 1956.
