00:00I can't blast a Diddy song in my car.
00:02All right, guys, so this is not a fun one,
00:05but the Diddy trial kicked off,
00:06and I'm from one in shock that they decided
00:09that the defense's argument was going to be,
00:11yeah, it was domestic violence, but not sex trafficking.
00:14Like, what?
00:16It's a lot to take in.
00:18Like, racketeering is a very serious charge,
00:21but so is domestic violence.
00:22So to sort of brush that under the rug,
00:25and especially with Cassie,
00:27knowing that she's taking the stand pregnant,
00:29I don't know, the optics are very intense, you know?
00:33It was a lot of intense graphic news
00:37coming from the Diddy trial this morning.
00:40Yeah, and I mean, it's so interesting
00:41that you phrase it that way,
00:42because I think sex trafficking, racketeering,
00:45it's like, and there's been all this evidence
00:47that's been in the media.
00:48What would your argument be to defend Diddy at this point?
00:51Yeah, I mean, I'm not sure there's much of an argument.
00:53He's going to try to save his ass, I'm sure,
00:56but, you know, I don't know how he can.
00:58I mean, if your crime's bad enough,
01:00I don't know if there's much of a difference.
01:02I mean, the lawyers are going to do their jobs,
01:04because they're lawyers.
01:05But I don't know, like,
01:07if there's any way you can really get out of it.
01:09I mean, they're pretty serious.
01:11All the allegations we've heard,
01:13the video evidence with Cassie in the hotel.
01:16And to have to relive those memories, too,
01:20like, I just think of Cassie,
01:21like, getting triggered at every point of the way.
01:24I mean, it's hard not to sympathize with her,
01:26and, you know, of course,
01:28everyone's innocent until proven guilty, but...
01:30We've been fed so much content the public has
01:34of this victim, this alleged victim,
01:37so Diddy's team's job right now
01:40is to cycle through all of that
01:41and figure out what's true.
01:42It's not racketeering or sex trafficking.
01:45Like, that is something that,
01:47if you go to a hotel, an airport,
01:49that is something that America
01:51and the world is worried about.
01:52So if you're being accused of that,
01:54dude, there's no coming back from that.
01:55Like, even if you go to jail, serve time,
01:57when you come out, your life is drastically changed.
02:00Your family's different.
02:01The world you incorporate around is different.
02:03Yeah.
02:04I mean, I think the world's gonna be...
02:05But see, I think the world's gonna be different
02:07regardless for this guy.
02:08If he was somehow miraculously able
02:10to walk out of this completely free,
02:13his life is changed because of this.
02:15Oh, yeah.
02:16You can...
02:17It's not gonna go away for Diddy.
02:18Yeah.
02:19At least, I don't think...
02:19Your life and your reputation,
02:22primarily, is, like,
02:23gonna be irrevocably changed.
02:25Like, whether, you know,
02:27his lawyers put up a good case.
02:29Like, people are not gonna want
02:30to associate with him anyway.
02:32And, you know, it's just, like,
02:34he's gonna be kind of, like, tainted.
02:36You know?
02:37Yeah.
02:37I think about when that video came out
02:39at a hotel.
02:40Everybody who defended him very quickly
02:42just got quiet.
02:44And I just imagine
02:44what that must be like
02:46for Cassie and her family.
02:48She'll have to witness it.
02:49And like you said,
02:50to be in court,
02:51have to deal with that every day,
02:52but also have that footage be out.
02:55So everyone sees that constantly.
02:57And that will be the thing
02:57people reference for her life.
03:00But it validated her, you know?
03:02Like, which is, like,
03:03unfortunate, obviously.
03:05But it's, like,
03:05sometimes people nowadays,
03:07like, you hear so much crazy shit.
03:09Like, you don't really believe things
03:11because anyone can say anything
03:13on the internet.
03:13And then, like,
03:15when you have video footage,
03:16that's that damning.
03:18It's, like, hard to be able to say, like,
03:20this is not something that really happened.
03:22So, and she is gonna go and testify,
03:25I believe,
03:25because she wants to be able
03:27to put him away.
03:28And you speak about, like,
03:31people being able to say anything
03:32on the internet.
03:32There's obviously gonna be
03:33other witnesses in this trial.
03:35So let's talk about day one.
03:36They also had a male or exotic dancer
03:39that was on the stand testifying,
03:41saying that he was brought in
03:43to have sexual relations with Cassie
03:46in front of Sean Connors,
03:47in front of Diddy,
03:48and that what he went through
03:49and that he ended up
03:50agreeing to that agreement,
03:52but then later on,
03:53seeing her be abused by him
03:55and wanting to remove himself
03:56from that situation.
03:57No, no, no.
03:57Also, like, abuse?
03:59Like, I, like,
03:59we don't know what Cassie,
04:01like, if she was really, like,
04:02consenting.
04:03I was just gonna say, like,
04:04doing, is the male exotic dancer
04:06saying that it was all consensual?
04:09Did she just say, like,
04:10oh, Diddy said it was okay?
04:12That doesn't mean that Cassie said
04:13was, was okay with it.
04:15You know, she might have been
04:16just subjected to a lot of sexual abuse.
04:19And when he was asked
04:20why he never stepped in
04:22when things got violent or crazy,
04:24his response was that
04:25he was afraid of Diddy's power
04:27and influence.
04:28So it begs to differ.
04:30Like, does that change
04:31the whole feeling of this trial
04:33when you're thinking about, like,
04:35oh, how, what are the dynamics
04:36when somebody in a situation like this
04:38is that rich and powerful?
04:40Yeah.
04:41And it, like, makes all the more,
04:42it makes the case more damning, right?
04:44Like, that someone is abusing
04:46their power in such a way,
04:48especially with someone like Cassie,
04:50who he was, you know,
04:51in a relationship with for forever.
04:53You know, he's,
04:55it seems like he's just, like,
04:56abused and neglected
04:57and mistreated, like,
04:59all the women
05:00that have been in his life.
05:01And if he's,
05:02and if he's admitting
05:02to the domestic violence
05:04on record,
05:05it kind of gives,
05:06it's hard,
05:07it muddles up the judgment
05:08for the jury, I assume,
05:10you know,
05:11because if a person
05:11is capable of doing X,
05:14you know,
05:14how could they not be capable
05:16of doing Y?
05:17So, I'm not a lawyer,
05:18but the defense team
05:19definitely has a big job
05:20ahead of them,
05:21you know,
05:22because,
05:23I mean,
05:24the public opinion,
05:25they have so many things
05:26going against them.
05:28And I don't mean this
05:29in a real way,
05:29caring about Diddy
05:30at this point,
05:31because even hearing about
05:33this exotic dancer,
05:35all my mind keeps going to
05:36is that Cassie
05:37could be defined by this.
05:39Yeah.
05:40Like,
05:40we haven't talked
05:41about her songs,
05:42you know what I'm saying?
05:43No one's talked about
05:43her music,
05:44like that she's a mom.
05:46We're talking about
05:46the stuff that happened
05:47to her,
05:48which was gruesome
05:49and horrible
05:49from a guy
05:50who was super rich.
05:52I mean,
05:52it's like,
05:53so what,
05:53she got money from her,
05:54but at the end of the day
05:55when we talk about her,
05:56her name,
05:57her song came up
05:58on a playlist recently
05:59and I remember
05:59I went aw.
06:01Aw.
06:01That was the thing
06:02I said,
06:02I was like,
06:03because I remember
06:03that was the song
06:04he produced.
06:05Yeah,
06:05she was signed
06:06to his record label.
06:07I mean,
06:08she's kind of been
06:09under his thumb
06:09for majority of likes.
06:12Luckily,
06:12now she has her husband
06:14and she's in
06:15a healthy relationship.
06:17She has her children
06:18and so that's
06:19the bright spot in this,
06:21but there are going
06:22to be other people
06:22that are going to
06:23probably testify
06:24and talk about
06:25some of the parties
06:26that he had,
06:27that everyone
06:28has been talking about.
06:29You know,
06:29there are more victims
06:31that we don't know about.
06:32Obviously,
06:32Cassie is the biggest one.
06:33I'm sure she doesn't want
06:34to be known for this,
06:36but I also think
06:37she,
06:38it seems like
06:39she wants to
06:39put him away.
06:40She wants to really
06:41make sure
06:42that he's not able
06:44to hurt other people
06:45the way she was hurt.
06:47I can't blast
06:47a Diddy song
06:48in my car.
06:49Yeah.
06:49I agree with you
06:50on the lyrics,
06:51though,
06:52because even with R. Kelly,
06:53when it comes to
06:54the making love lyrics,
06:56all of that,
06:56I'm just like,
06:57oof.
06:57It's hard.
06:58It's a different ear now.
07:00Now,
07:00you're right about that,
07:01Giraffe.
07:01Feeling on your booty
07:02is a crazy lyric.
07:04I'm in.
07:04I'm in.
07:06I'm in.
07:07I'm in.
07:23I'm in.
