00:00So the first special thing that I noticed was his sense of excitement when he came to Adventure and that matched my personality so well.
00:14My name is Andrew Lasky and this is my boy Benji. I think he's better looking than I am too. I don't hold that against him or anything.
00:35Well, it's been kind of a wild ride. I started out as a mechanical engineering student that went into sales for a big corporate company.
00:43But as of last January, I actually quit my job so I could pursue traveling full-time with my pup.
00:48At the end of the day, we were able to spend as much time together, able to go on all these crazy adventures and living the life that I had always dreamed of.
01:03So I think one of Benji's superpowers is his ability to adapt to different environments.
01:08You know, I started out on a treadmill at the age of six months because I didn't want to go out and take him in a walk in the rain out in Seattle.
01:15And then we kind of progressed from there where we did like rollerblading.
01:18I would rollerblade and he'd run next to me.
01:20And then we even progressed to the point where I got a backpack, put him in it, and I would rollerblade with him.
01:25And we've also done that with all kinds of different things.
01:31He plays basketball with me. He plays football with me.
01:34I also, you know, riding the bike in the sidecar.
01:37And then I also have a trailer that I push him for when I go rollerblading and all of that.
01:41I just think it's so cool how I've gotten him to be so good with these activities.
01:51You know, I've always been against this whole idea that, okay, a dog is just a dog.
01:55I've always thought Benji is my son.
01:57He's been on well over a hundred flights, I'd say.
02:00But most recently, we've just been road tripping all over.
02:03Last year alone, we did over 40,000 miles.
02:06We did a trip from L.A. to Cabo, L.A. to Key West, and another one from L.A. to New York.
02:11And this year we have a lot of travel ahead.
02:14In my opinion, he's better at being a human than he is a dog.
