00:00Are you afraid that this potentially might help the president, like give him, might have the opposite effect that you're actually trying to get?
00:10Well, look, I'm not so worried about the consequences. I'm just focused on doing the right thing.
00:15The question really is, I am not focused on what he will use or not use.
00:22If I don't press for this, he will feel that he has a free pass to continue to violate the Constitution.
00:31So no matter what, this president will try to take advantage of any situation.
00:38But the right thing to do here is call out for his impeachable conduct.
00:45The right thing to do here is say he has broken the law, and that's what I'm doing.
00:51Congressman, can you tell us a little bit about the group of supporters here today and who's here to support you?
00:56And second, can you talk about your strategy going forward and next steps?
01:01Yes, yes. So I think our supporters are, there are a couple groups, non-profit groups that are supporting this.
01:09I guess one of the group is Mayday Group, right? And the other one is...
01:15Some of us are individuals.
01:16And some of them are individuals. They just came here.
01:19This is a very short notice. We didn't know about this press conference until less than...
01:25We planned this.
01:27So this is a short notice, but they showed up.
01:30But you go to Wyandotte, you know, the other day I was in Wyandotte, Michigan,
01:33and there were 400 people holding signs like this coming and it rally.
01:39It's happening all over America. People are demanding that this president be held responsible.
01:46My strategy is simple. I'm going to use every possible means to fight this president, fight his unconscious activities.
01:55This is just one of the many tools, but I'm sending a message.
02:00I'm sending a message. This is the start of the movement.
02:03Look, like the Medicare for All. Do we have the votes to pass that today? No.
02:08But Bernie Sanders, my friend, Senator Bernie Sanders, we're talking about Medicare for All for a long time, for decades.
02:14And sometimes it takes a long time when you start a movement to finish that and get a victory.
02:21But we got to start. And we got to start today. It's not too early to start that. And that's my strategy.
