00:00¿Qué es lo que se llama Afrikan?
00:30¿Por qué están creando un camino para africaners, pero no otros?
00:40Porque están siendo killed, y no quieren ver personas que están siendo killed.
00:45Ahora, South Africa leadership está llegando a mí, I understand, sometime next week.
00:51Y, you know, we're supposed to have, I guess, a G20 meeting there,
00:55or something, but we're having a G20 meeting, I don't know how we can go unless that situation's taken care of,
01:01but it's a genocide that's taking place that you people don't want to write about,
01:05but it's a terrible thing that's taking place, and farmers are being killed.
01:11They happen to be white, but whether they're white or black makes no difference to me,
01:16but white farmers are being brutally killed, and their land is being confiscated in South Africa,
01:23and the newspapers and the media, television media, doesn't even talk about it.
01:28If it were the other way around, they'd talk about it.
01:30That would be the only story they'd talk about, and I don't care who they are.
01:35I don't care about their race, their color.
01:37I don't care about their height, their weight.
01:39I don't care about anything.
01:40I just know that what's happening is terrible.
01:42I have people that live in South Africa.
01:45They say it's a terrible situation taking place,
01:47so we've essentially extended citizenship to those people to escape from that violence and come here.
01:56Thank you very much, everybody.
01:58Trump issued an executive order in February saying that his administration should prioritize bringing in Afrikaners
02:06who have, in his words, been subject to persecution in their home country, South Africa,
02:12where there's a black majority and there are white minority.
02:15Now, the government of South Africa rejects that claim.
02:18They say that that's not the case.
02:20This group is not being persecuted.
02:22They're not refugees.
02:24But that said, the Trump administration has forged ahead with this divisive program
02:28and brought in now the first cohort of 59 people into the United States who've been processed in as refugees.
02:40I think what you've seen is a divisive move by President Trump to freeze all refugee admissions from places around the world
02:51and then bring in a population that many people say did not deserve this status.
02:56And particularly, there's a racial dynamic at play here in that it's a white group of refugees coming from a majority black country
03:06where President Trump says they've been persecuted.
03:09And as far as optics go, you have this broader U.S. refugee program that had served many non-white refugees around the world
03:16that's completely frozen at the moment.
03:18First, I want to introduce myself.
03:19I'm the Deputy Secretary of State of the United States.
03:22This is my friend Troy Edgar.
03:23Yeah, I'm the Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security.
03:26Again, welcome.
03:27It's been great to have you guys here.
03:28Thank you.
03:29I know you've gone from a long flight.
03:31I cannot...
